Voice Biometric Systems for User Identification and Authentication – A Literature Review
No full textPurpose: Biometric trends are used in many systems because of security aspects. The cryptosystem is such an example which uses a biometric. But due to stored biometric data for the authentication, this can be a dangerous issue. Therefore, in comparison to conventional used biometric system, voice biometric system provides an efficient safety, security and unique identity. Among various speech recognition or processing methods, there is one called automated speech conversion methods, which also used to convert the recorded voice into text format. The overall concept of voice reorganization and voice biometric system is based on the acoustic modelling. Therefore, for getting the perfect speech detection, robust acoustic modelling is required. Our analysis describes the advancement and usage of voice biometric system for user identification and authentication. This paper provides a descriptive review of different voice biometric systems, their advancement and applications in different fields.
Methodology: The core principles of the research issue have been well discussed in the literature review on speech biometrics. During this process, selected journals from a variety of secondary data sources, such as research papers published in a variety of reputed journals periodicals that are related to the topic are studied in the methodology.
Findings/Result: A vocal biometric system is a biological system that captures an individual's voice and assigns it a unique characteristic for authentication purposes. This speech biometric method is primarily used to provide secure, quick, and frictionless access to various electronic devices. In the last three years, rapid technological advancements in neural networks have improved the deployment of speech biometric systems in a variety of industries. The majority of speech biometric system designs are based on the CPU, necessary power, and memory concepts. The advancement of software and hardware interface has been dramatically enhanced and implemented for many applications in the last few years, including smart watches, mobile phones, and car locking systems, where the interface between humans and electronics devices is critical. Banking security, attendance system, file access system, security control, and forensic development system are some of the other commercial applications.
Originality: Following the literature study, the findings were utilized to conclude that, despite advances in biometric technology, there is still a significant gap in practical application, particularly for voice biometric systems. When building and developing a voice biometric system, it is necessary to integrate it with an IoT system.

No full textPurpose: Case study of an organisation depicts an issue pertaining to a problem and the strategies adopted by the company. Analysis of an organisation will enable to interpret the process of the company which help us to identify, understand and bring out strategies which could help to solve the problem. The aim of the study is to know the various leaders, the leadership styles and the lessons adopted by TATA, s. This attempt also identifies the process of management, effective leadership skills, the decision making process. Leadership skills influence the development of organisational theory.
Research approach: The present paper, discusses the various analysis as a research methodology which will aid the future researcher in developing and analysing the organisation as a case study. The study analyses the TATA group of industry, which considered the various determinants, affecting factors of Leadership. The present paper discusses the various analyses like SWOT analysis, ABCD analysis, value chain analysis and TATA conceptual model for leadership which will enable to identify the critical element of the organisation and the usefulness of effective leadership in management of the process of the organisation, especially during the decision making. The study also recommends this analysis for future casework analysis of any organisation.
Finding/Result: TATA group of companies should focus on utilizing its assets notable by the SWOT analysis, and make use of the opportunities. It can improve the value creating activities within its value chain
Originality/value: A conceptual leadership model is developed by studying the various institutions of TATA group companies. As leadership is essential for growth and prosperity of companies for the better leadership to support CSR activity and for profitability. Role of Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 in Molecular Pathology of Alzheimer’s Disease
No full textBackground: Glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK-3) is the evolutionary well-preserved multifunctional ubiquitously expressed kinase. In brain, GSK-3 mediates its effects via cascade of intra-cellular signalling pathways that regulate several functions including memory, behaviour, synapse plasticity, bioenergetics, and neuronal fate determination.
Several evidences on transgenic mice models and reports from the post-mortem of AD brains posit that altered levels of GSK-3 are closely linked with several pathological features including impaired splitting of amyloid precursor protein, hyperphosphorylation of Tau, mitochondrial dysfunctions, impaired energetics, maladaptive plasticity of neuronal circuitries in dementia, culminating into pathology of Alzheimer’s disease along with other neurodegenerative diseases.
Aim & Objective: Present paper has an aim to analyse the role of GSK3b in molecular pathology of Alzheimer’s disease. The involvement of dysregulated GSK3b in the pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease is discussed in the critical review paper covering several factors that either contribute to GSK3b dysregulation or interact with dysregulated GSK3b in the pathogenesis of AD.
Research Methodology: Critical analytic, qualitative cum retrospective research study design is adopted utilizing secondary data from books, monographs, journals, conference proceedings for the critical evaluation leading to conclusions beneficial either in future research study or in understanding intricate molecular events for pharmaceutical intervention either to ameliorate the clinical manifestations of Alzheimer’s disease or to delays the progression of disease for the benefit of patients with AD.
Findings/Result: Several stressors induce overexpression/aberrant activity of GSK3b leading to increased Amyloid beta formation, tau phosphorylation, mitochondrial dysfunction, impaired synaptic activity, release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and other manifestations implicated in the molecular pathology of Alzheimer’s disease.
Originality of Paper: Comprehensive approach was adopted to include papers related to the topic within frame-work of inclusion and exclusion criteria to deduce conclusion.

Research limitations/implications: ICT Skill is a topic too vast for academics to consider researching on. Anything and everything related to Computers and the Internet is the result of some sort of ICT skill usage by some individual. Heavy cost of ICT infrastructure is also a limiting factor.

Get PDFPurpose: Cities have always found a place in novels, as a setting which wields influence. Much great writing across cultures has been devoted to figuring out this intangible, yet resolute influence. The city is definitely an agent of transformation in many English works of fiction and this paper highlights the works of researchers who have examined the various ways in which cities are being foregrounded to offer them prominence in the narration and make them significant players in the overall presentation. The impact on the lives of the characters, plot and narration of the novels due to the spatial and cultural ethos of the city, the ways in which the city is portrayed and the reflection of this on the reader form the gist of the findings of the research
Design/Methodology/Approach: The review of literature is carried out using information from various online open access sources such as peer-reviewed journals, doctoral theses, websites and a range of portals such as Google Scholar.
Findings/Result: Optimizing the reading experience to help the reader move beyond a superficially touristy perspective of the space used as a setting and engage with the city’s complex social, political, historical, and cultural milieu requires a deeper study of the different ways in which the city can be foregrounded in novels.
Originality/Value: This paper examines the phenomenon of the projection of space in novels and memoirs. A novel concept of the author as a literary cartographer, who makes the work of fiction come alive by not only describing the city as text but also going beyond to offer maps as an aid to the narration and in the process enriching the total reader experience, is presented. Different ways in which the city has been melded into the novel, touching upon its history, architecture and cultural aspects so as to be a significant part of the narrative and wield influence, have been identified.

A Parallel Scanner for the Concurrent Execution of Lexical Analyzer Tasks on Multi-Core Machines using Dynamic Task Allocation Algorithm
No full textPurpose: Massive multi-core architecture is rapidly becoming the standard in digital technology due to its high and parallel computational capability and performance benefits. To fully utilize the technological capabilities of multi-core systems, system software such as compilers should be re-engineered for parallel processing. Several important contributions have been made in the past to enhance the efficiency of the lexical analysis process by leveraging the innate parallel processing capability of multi-core computers. This trend of implementation shows that a parallel lexical analyzer tends to perform lexing tasks better than a conventional sequential lexical analyzer. This article discusses the way of making the tasks in parallel during the scanning of source program in the phase of lexical analysis. The objective of this study is to explore how to perform lexical analysis in parallel. On multi-core processors, multiple processes of the lexical analyzer program can run concurrently to scan multiple lines in the input stream in parallel for token detection. This is done by allocating tasks line-by-line to the core which is not engaged yet.
Design/Methodology/Approach: Developing a theoretical and experimental approach for parallelizing the lexical scanning process on a multi-core system.
Findings/Result: According to the theoretical and experimental results, the proposed methodology significantly outperforms the sequential approach in terms of tokenization. It considerably reduces the time required for lexical analysis during the compilation process. The result establishes unequivocally that the parallel lexical analyzer's performance should scale linearly with the number of cores. It is clearly observed that the speedup is expected to increase further if the number of CPU cores increases. This enhancement would speed up the compilation process even more.
Originality/Value: A dynamic task allocation algorithm is developed for the concurrent execution of a lexical analyzer task on multi-core systems.

A Systematic Review on Adolescents’ Emotional Intelligence and Aggressive Behaviour
Get PDFPurpose: Many studies conclude that emotional quotient significantly affects students’ aggressive behaviour. By reviewing existing research articles the researcher focuses on the association between emotional intelligence and aggressive behaviour. The study's second goal is to call attention to specific facets of the relationship that were investigated. We also hoped to find research gaps that could lead to more research, in the future, in this area. The findings could be used as a foundation for developing emotional intelligence and emotional regulation programmes aimed at reducing adolescents’ aggressive behaviour.
Design/Methodology/Approach: We looked for articles published between 2000 and 2021 using the primary databases; Google Scholar, Research Gate, Academia, SSRN, Shodhganga, PubMed, Rayyan, and Elsevier. The words like emotional intelligence, aggressive behaviour, interventions, and aggression were used for searching articles.
Findings/Result: These findings reveal a clear link between emotional abilities and aggressive behaviour: those with greater emotional intelligence have less aggression, while people with lower emotional intelligence have more aggression. This relationship shows to hold true across a range of ages i.e., from childhood onwards, cultures, aggression kinds, and emotional intelligence assessments. Based on these review study it also discussed and put forward future research into emotional intelligence tactics and strategies for preventing and regulating aggressiveness.
Originality/Value: The study concluded that there exists a need for future research on psychological intervention and coping strategies, anger rumination, emotional regulating training program and relaxation therapy for enhancing the emotional wellbeing of adolescents. Both child’s interventions as well as parental interventions may raise mental health.

A New Model on Customers’ Attraction, Retention, and Delight (CARD) for Green Banking Practices
No full textPurpose: Green loans, green credit cards, green checking accounts, and green mortgages are all part of current banking operations, are online banking components. The goal of this research is to identify a research need and potential research agendas for linking green banking practices of certain selected commercial and public sector banks in India. The purpose of this study is to create a conceptual model that effectively represents the characteristics of green banking operations and their relationship to total green banking customer satisfaction.
Design/Methodology: This study examines the current state of various bank green banking practices. The information was gathered from academic journals and websites.
Findings: This review-based analysis identifies the present state of green banking practices. The influence of green initiatives by public and private banks, such as internet banking, internet payments, green payments, and credit card loans, is investigated. The research gap is computed using the current situation and the desired green activity approach. Depending on the research gap, different research objectives to link green banking practices are developed and analysed.
Originality: The current state of affairs, research gaps, and research goals related to green banking practices and boosting brand value to retain and satisfaction of the customers are examined in this review-based research study.

Socio-culture and Women Career Development: References to Government Agencies of Nepal
Get PDFPurpose: The major purpose is to access perceptions, examine relationship, and identify the impact of socio-cultural factors on women's career development in Nepalese government agencies.
Design/Methodology/Approach: The study included both qualitative and quantitative methods, and 22 government agencies were chosen for the study using a simple random sampling technique. Mean and standard deviation were used to analyze women's perceptions, the correlation was used to study the relationship between socio-cultural elements and career growth, and multiple regression was performed to identify the impact of dependent and independent variables.
Findings/Result: The majority of respondent’s belief that social factors play vital role to impact women career development when it comes to comparing with cultural factors. Studies show that there is a significant relationship between social and career development as well as culture and career development. Both social and culture factors have a considerable combined impact on career development.
Originality/Value: This research will be useful to the Nepalese government and policymakers for motivating and directing women at the highest levels of government agencies. This work may potentially be useful to other researchers.
