A Life in Limbo: The Dichotomy of Allegiances – Trauma, Identity and Transformation in The American Granddaughter
This research explores the transformative journey of Zeina, the protagonist of Inaam Kachachi’s novel The American Granddaughter (2010), as she grapples with complexities of trauma, identity, disillusionment and transformation. Set against the backdrop of Iraq war and its aftermath, the novel masterfully captures Zeina’s struggle to reconcile her dual identity and conflicting allegiances. Through a close reading of the novel applying an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on trauma theory, literary analysis and cultural studies, this research examines how Zeina’s traumatic experiences shape her sense of identity and allegiance. By applying Linderman’s theoretical framework of traumatic transformation consisting of courage’s war and perilous education, this study illuminates three stages of Zeina’s transformation: disintegration, reconciliation and reintegration. This research contributes to a complex interplay of trauma, identity and transformation, shedding light on the profound impact of trauma on individual identity and the human experience
خالد فتح محمد کے افسانوں کا مجموعی جائزہ
In the legendary literature of Urdu, 'Khalid Fateh Muhammad' is a name written with bright light, whose brightness will continue to increase with the coming time. The change that Khalid Fateh Muhammad has brought about at the levels of intellectual and artistic expression is certainly a forerunner of a new construction. His fictions are made up of the complexities of the present society and the tragedies of contemporary life, so in them the beautiful reflection of social realism can be seen in the light of which the psychological, social and contemporary consciousness of the society can be seen. His grip on art has hardly ever loosened, his path has been different from the path of expressive expression. In the contemporary era, if you think that Urdu fiction wants to be reborn or to give birth to a man who can write fiction full of aspirations for regeneration, then read Khalid Fateh Muhammad that his fiction writing is the modern Urdu fiction. It has been declared as the gospel of honor protection
TRAUMA ULTIMATELY BRINGS ABOUT HEDDA’S DEATH BY VIRTUE OF SOCIETAL CONVENTIONS, HER CONSCIENCE AND ELECTRA COMPLEX
“There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.” Laurell K. Hamilton
Critics have always argued that Hedda Gabler, one of the most controversial and psychoanalytical plays of Ibsen, is imperceptive and morbid, and its protagonist is un-redeeming and enigmatic. With an endeavour, my research aims at highlighting the Trauma[1] in Hedda Gabler, a play in which trauma ultimately brings about protagonist’s death by virtue of societal conventions and her conscience. Although Ibsen is a renowned feminist and psychoanalyst playwright yet there is need to unveil trauma leading to Hedda’s suicide. This paper will be based on qualitative research and the framework will be based on textual analysis and critical discourse analysis. With the help of TA, CDA and trauma theory the paper will reveal the hidden ideologies, bothersome and unwanted fears of the character, causing her to be traumatized. Particularly, the play Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen will be a primary text while there will also be different secondary texts such as: articles, research papers, websites, dictionaries and some books which will support this research. Researchers will draw two conclusions from this paper i.e. the first one is broader sense of trauma and the second one is suicide which ultimately happens to be on account of forceful implications of the society. Aim of my research is to justify that Hedda is traumatized by her unending alienation, societal conventions and criticism about being scandalized which ultimately make her commit suicide. Aim of my research is to justify that Hedda is traumatized and compelled to commits suicide by virtue of societal conventions, pressure of people’s ruthless criticism and unending alienation.

اُردو افسانے کا ردِ استعماری رجحان :تجزیاتی مطالعہ (پریم چند ، کرشن چندر،بیدی اور منٹو کا خصوصی حوالہ ): Trend Of Anti-imperialism in Urdu Short stories: An Analysis
The trend of Anti-Imperialism in Urdu short stories is not explicitly documented. However, Urdu literature, particularly poetry, has a rich history of expressing anti-imperialist sentiments. For instance, during the Indian Freedom struggle from 1857 to 1947, Urdu poets played a significant role in mobilizing public opinion against British Raj. Their works are testaments of the shifting image of the nation that ultimately led to the formation of independent India in 1947.Urdu Short stories, just like poetry, gave wide space to all forms of anti-British resistance going on in India and abroad, and it quickened the pace of the freedom movement. This research explores the dominant nationalistic trends in Urdu short stories during the first half of the 20th century. This article does highlight the broader context of anti-imperialist sentiments in Urdu Afsana. It’s plausible that similar themes could be found in other genres as well. For a more accurate understanding, we have explored specific authors( Praim Chand, Krishan chandar ,Rajindar singh Baidi , Saadat Hassan Manto) within Urdu Afsana who were known for their anti-imperialist views

After the earth and the skies were created, human was given physically shape. The angles were ordered to bow down to Adam (Peace be upon him). This ordered was a sign of greatness of man as he was to comply with what is ordered him by Allah Almighty. When Adam (PBUH) was blessed with his sons and one of them killed another one. Allah Almighty the Legislative Authority revealed some laws for the peaceful environment of this planet. With the passage of time some other messengers were sent to various nations. Some of them obeyed their messengers sent towards them and some of them denied, till Moses (PBUH) was sent to Firon and his people. As he (Firon) made the nation of Moses (PBUH) slaves, and treated them with cruelty and un-justice. Allah Almighty revealed some law to be followed by the followers of Moses (PBUH). Some of these laws/rights were tempered by the follower after his death and now the Bible is not is his real shape as revealed. The situation was going on till Muhammad (PBUH) was sent the whole of mankind and all of them were made bound to accept his message. The Holy Quran made Muslims brothers to each other and Sunnah made them forbidden each other lives, wealth, honor and blood. Allah Almighty has emphasized good behavior towards those non-Muslim, who are not involved in cruelty to Muslim in its any shape as well. And bound Muslim to stand up to witness justice for Allah, and let not the enmity of the people persuade them to forsake justice. Hopefully, it will contribute to the new areas of the research in comparative study of both the religions. And will make the readers know something new in a research way
“Feudal Power Dynamics in Punjab, Historical Legacies, Socio Economic Impacts and Contemporary Challenges”
This study delves into the intricate power dynamics shaped by feudalism in Punjab, examining historical legacies, socio-economic impacts, and contemporary challenges. Historically, feudal structures in Punjab were established during colonial times, reinforcing hierarchical landownership and socio-political dominance of elite families. These legacies continue to influence the region's socio-economic landscape, where vast landholdings are concentrated among a few, perpetuating economic disparities and social stratification. The socio-economic impacts are profound, affecting agricultural productivity, rural poverty, and access to education and healthcare. Contemporary challenges include addressing these entrenched inequalities, fostering rural development, and promoting equitable land reforms. The study also explores the political influence of feudal lords, which hinders democratic processes and policy implementation aimed at social justice. Through a comprehensive analysis, this research underscores the need for structural reforms to dismantle feudal legacies and promote inclusive socio-economic growth in Punjab
