How Sleep Quality Impact Mental Well-being of Young Adults: A Qualitative Study
This qualitative study investigates the effect of sleep quality on the mental well-being of young adults. Through semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis, the experiences and perceptions of sleep quality and its effects on mental health were examined among a sample of young adults aged 18-30. The findings reveal a complex interplay between sleep quality and mental well-being, with participants reporting various challenges such as difficulty falling asleep, frequent awakenings, and poor sleep hygiene practices. Furthermore, participants described the detrimental effects of poor sleep on their mood, cognitive function, and overall mental health. However, coping strategies and interventions were also identified, suggesting potential avenues for promoting better sleep habits and enhancing mental wellbeing among young adults. Their findings illuminate various aspects of good sleep quality, including regular sleep patterns, restorative sleep, and effective sleep hygiene practices. Participants highlighted the positive effects of good sleep on mood regulation, cognitive function and overall mental well-being. Additionally, strategies used to maintain good sleep quality and its impact on daily life were examined. This study contributes to a comprehensive understanding of how both good and poor sleep quality impact the mental well-being of young adults
INVESTIGATING THE IMPACT OF GAMIFICATION ON TEACHING ENGLISH VOCABULARY TO UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN LAHORE
This thesis examines the impact of gamification on English vocabulary training for undergraduate students in Lahore. Gamification, integrating gaming elements into non-gaming environments, is increasingly popular for boosting student engagement and motivation. It creates an engaging learning environment, especially for language studies. The study used a mixed method, including a quasi-experimental design, comparing an experimental group exposed to gamification with a control group taught traditionally. The study aimed to evaluate vocabulary acquisition, retention, and overall language proficiency. The Dual Code Learning Theory and cultural considerations were also used to explain gamification's impact. Data collection included teacher feedback, pre- and post-tests, and demographic information, analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results showed the experimental group had higher vocabulary development and retention, enhancing overall language proficiency. The findings support active learning theories, showing that games like Scrabble and Word Bingo effectively aid language learning. The study emphasizes the importance of culturally inclusive gamified learning environments and the need for motivation and engagement in language learning. It suggests integrating gamification with traditional methods for unique and engaging learning experiences. The thesis concludes with recommendations for future research on gamification's long-term effects, comparing different techniques, and its effectiveness across various language skill levels. It also suggests incorporating multimodal learning and exploring gamification for specific vocabulary domains and other language skills. These findings will be valuable for educators and policymakers seeking innovative methods to improve undergraduate students' vocabulary acquisition and language skills
Grammaticalization of Morphological Changes Manifested in Finite Single-word Lexical Verbs in Shahmukhi Punjabi
Punjabi exhibits a rich linguistic landscape characterized by agglutinative and fusional features. This linguistic complexity has led many scholars, including Tehseen et al. (2023) and Jamshaid & Akhtar (2022), to emphasize the significance of morphological distinctions within Punjabi, surpassing even its syntactic variations. The primary objective of this study is to undertake an extensive morphological analysis of finite single-word lexical verbs in Shamukhi Punjabi. Drawing from our preliminary findings, two key hypotheses were formulated. First, we postulated that the notion of verbal finiteness plays a pivotal role in categorizing Punjabi verbs. Second, we hypothesized that morphological intricacies linked to progressive and perfective aspects, voice, gender, and number systems manifest within the domain of finite single-word lexical verbs. To achieve these research objectives, we employed a corpus of modest proportions, encompassing one hundred thousand words from Shahmukhi Punjabi. This study operates within the framework of inflectionally regular verbs, allowing us to identify recurring morphological structures within finite single-word verbs and their sub-systems. Our findings offer compelling evidence that Punjabi verbs can indeed be categorized based on finiteness, while also highlighting the diverse inflections that characterize finite single-word verbs concerning number, gender, aspect, and voice systems. This research not only holds promise for the preservation and enrichment of the Punjabi language but also contributes significantly to our understanding of the intricate linguistic structures embedded within Shahmukhi Punjabi

غلام عباس کے افسانوں میں سماجی شعور کے مختلف مظاہر: Various Manifestations of Social Consciousness in Ghulam Abbas's Short Stories
The concept of human's social role is prominent in every fiction writer in one form or another. The essence of this theory is that man is always playing his artificial role in his real life like an actor in a stage play. Actually, the mental and psychological motivation of this performance is the socio-class and economic consciousness of a person, because the consciousness of a person changes gradually in different situations of collective life. Therefore, in different times and places, there are unconscious changes in the outward behavior of a person. In view of this concept, all human beings deserve to be called skilled actors in their lives. But an unexpected result of this continuous acting is that man has forgotten his reality while living an artificial life. Ghulam Abbas was a noble person. Reading and writing and being quietly engaged in one's work was his life's skill. He was busy with his work; he was not interested in grouping. This is the reason why he gave the Urdu language stories that will live forever. His short stories include Anandi, Katba, Jawari, Overkot, Saya, Kun Ras and Hammam Mein.

The Evolution of Islamic Education in Pakistan
Islamic education has a long history in Pakistan, dating back to the arrival of Islam in the region in the 8th century. Over the centuries, Islamic education in Pakistan has evolved in response to changing political, social, and economic conditions. This paper examines the evolution of Islamic education in Pakistan, focusing on key shifts in curricula, teaching methods, and institutions. One of the earliest forms of Islamic education in Pakistan was the madrasa system, which was established to train scholars and clergy in Islamic theology, jurisprudence, and ethics. These madrasas played a crucial role in preserving Islamic knowledge and traditions in the region. In the 19th and 20th centuries, Islamic education in Pakistan underwent significant changes as a result of British colonial rule and modernization efforts. The curriculum in madrasas was expanded to include subjects such as mathematics, science, and English, reflecting the influence of Western education systems. In the post-independence period, Islamic education in Pakistan continued to evolve, with the establishment of new educational institutions such as Islamic universities and colleges. These institutions offered a more comprehensive and modernized curriculum, combining traditional Islamic teachings with contemporary subjects. Today, Islamic education in Pakistan is a diverse and dynamic field, with a wide range of educational institutions offering programs in Islamic studies, Quranic studies, and Islamic law. The government has also taken steps to regulate and standardize Islamic education through the establishment of regulatory bodies and accreditation processes. Despite these developments, challenges remain in the field of Islamic education in Pakistan, including issues related to curriculum reform, teacher training, and the integration of modern technology into traditional teaching methods. Moving forward, it is essential for policymakers, educators, and religious scholars to work together to ensure that Islamic education in Pakistan continues to evolve and adapt to meet the needs of a changing society
