    No full text
The state of Bahawalpur's land has been the spiritual abode and final resting place of the saints of Allah for almost a thousand years, who not only spread the light of Islam in this region but also imparted spiritual enlightenment throughout the Subcontinent region. Esteemed and revered personalities from different eras established their abodes and shrines here, fostering spiritual tranquility. Most of the graveyards within Bahawalpur's boundaries are associated with some venerable figures. One such Sufi saint is Hazrat Khwaja Muhammad Yar Chishti Faridi, born around 1883 in the vicinity of Khanpur, Qasba Auk Khan. His lineage traces back to Hazrat Ali through Aun bin Ya'la. Khwaja Muhammad Yar Faridi was not only a towering Sufi but also a distinguished poet. His poetry is in Persian, Urdu, and Saraiki languages. His collection of poetry, titled "Diwan-e Mohammadi," known as "Anwar-e-Faridi," published from Khanpur district Rahim Yar Khan, emanated from his shrine at the Muhammadia Darbar in Gudhi Sharif. The "Diwan-e Mohammadi" consists of three parts. The first part comprises Persian poetry, the second Urdu poetry and the third Saraiki poetry. His works also include a theme of love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which he expressed with utmost reverence, influenced by his spiritual mentors, especially Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Farid and other Sufi poets. The Naatia poetry of Hazrat Khwaja Muhammad Yar Faridi, particularly in Saraiki dialect, is deeply imbued with the influence of his mentor, Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Farid
