    Nawab Sultan Jahan Begum (1853–1930) was a prominent writer and feminist activists of the colonial era. She is considered to be the fourth-most successful woman ruler of Bhopal state. She established many institutions for the welfare and development of her state as well as for the welfare of women. Nawab Sultan Jahan was very fond of writing and compiling. She was the most prolific Indian woman and became the first woman chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University. Nawab Begum was awarded many honors by the British Empire for her services.     Ferdinand De Saussure is considered the founder of structuralism. He presented a Linguistic Model which is entirely different from historical concept of language. On the basis of this model, structuralism and structural criticism began in linguistic and literary criticism. structural criticism is a study of literary text from the structural point view as Marxist and psychological criticism examine a text in Marxism and psychological perspective. Discussions on structuralism in Urdu began in early eighties. Mira ji is one of the most prominent modern Urdu poets. This article presents a structural study of a poem of Mira ji and also present some articles written by different authors as example of structural criticism.

    Hamza Farooqui is known in Urdu literature for his travelogues. Zaman o Makan aur bhi hen, Aaj bhi us dais mein, Safar Ashob, Qaid e Muqaam se Guzar, Dil e Asia singapor o Malasia, are Hamza Farooqui's famous travelogues. Hamza Farooqui observed the culture and civilization of the countries where he wrote his travelogues and described these observations in his travelogues. In this paper, the study of two travelogues of Hamza Farooqi is presented, “Zaman o Makan aur bhi hen”, and “Aaj bhi us desh mein”. In these two travelogues, Hamza Farooqui has described his journey to Oman, Lebanon, Turkey, Austria, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Spain.

    The effects of the neo-demographic period on the civilization and society of common India can be clearly seen, which have been presented as important topics by Indian/Pakistani historians. Along with these historical contexts, the common culture born in this period has been coming to us as an important subject of Urdu fiction. Fiction in its place is an important medium of completing the incomplete pages of history. “Kai Chand The Sar-e-Asman is such a novel by Shamsur Rahman Farooqi, through which the cultural and social life of the neo-colonial era can be closely observed. Thus, the best means of understanding history is available in the language of fiction. The article under consideration brings forward the same cultural and colonialism of the neo-demographic period.

    Mian Manzoor Ahmed Watto's autobiography "Jurm-e-Seyasat" by former Chief Minister of Punjab, is a complete history of Pakistani politics. From family background to academic and political life, the above-mentioned autobiography has been described very eloquently. This autobiography tells the story of the ups and downs of Pakistani politics through the eyes of a patriot-turned-politician. The author goes on to describe his observations, experiences, situations and events in a systematic way in his narrative, which gives reasoned answers to many questions in the mind of the reader and opens various political knots of Pakistani political history. Undoubtedly, this is an effective and entertaining autobiography written by a shrewd politician

    The script performs significant role in learning and reading process of any language. Siraiki language has taken centuries to evolve to the present form. It has been adopting different scripts with the passage of time. Its initial phase of script may be seen in the form of Indus valley script. Afterwards, this language has been read and written in Dev Naagri script, Urd Nagri script and Landa Script. The present dictation and script of Siraiki language are derived from Arabic script. Yet it is much influenced by Urdu and present Sindhi alphabetic signs. The investigative analysis of present Siraiki script and its gradual evolution era has been discussed in this article

    The formative base of language, literature and civilization is a matter of inertia from the source and creator of social identity, where dialect and expression, the reality of literature, while literature is helpful in the formation and exploration of cultural identity. Literature is created out of passion being formed by the internal and inward earnest setting of emotions and affection, which has an encrusted and organized socio-cultural core. The short story is the art of presenting the socio-cultural experiences woven under the emotions and affection, where dialect, expression and civilization are formed and explored. Perhaps, the story kept unravelling the knots of social consciousness on the one hand, while, it kept unravelling the knots of cultural consciousness on the other hand. This is why short story fiction became a subtle means of presenting socio-cultural realities. This research article will be helpful in recuperating the expression of cultural identity presented in selected Pakistani Urdu short stories.

    Kishwar Naheed is a renowned Pakistani radical feminist poetess, who is famous for portraying women living in the male dominated society in her poetry. She speaks about the issues of oppressed women through her poetry. As a woman, she is aware of the cruelty of society. She paints the portrait of women in such a manner as imparts courage in women and make them bold enough to look around them with their own eyes and to shatter the fetters of social, artificial and unwholesome double standard and conventions, which lay down different standards of men and women. She rejects those artificial standards which are employed in judging women. She desires to liberate women and construct a world of femineity. Naheed is one of those influential Pakistani writers, who fought for the emancipation of women. She gives strong voice and wings to speak against the sufferings, sorrows and miseries of the women of third world. Women’s Plight has been a topic of constant debate in global literature. Kishwar Naheed’s poetry has depicted such issues on a grand scale. Her feminist point of view sheds new light to this subject. Naheed, in her poetry has underlined issues related to domestic violence, lack of consent and forced marriages. This article will cover all these aspects.
