No full textMirza Yaas Yagana Chingaizi (Mirza Wajid Hussain) is a well renowned poet of Urdu. He was famously known for his egotistical, uncompromising and brusque writing expression. Seeing the glory of Ghalib, he was quite envious of his work and always rectified his poetry and attacked his iconic status. This earned him the title of "Ghalib Shikan". A poet usually depicts his feelings through the observation and experiences of his surroundings, keeping up with the trend Mirza Yaas did the manifestation of ordinary human life in his poetry. He, in his poetic expression, paved the way for human dignity affirming it to be the strongest attribute of ordinary humans. Mirza Yaas engaged with the oddities of life with an uncompressing and rigid attitude. No full textShamsur Rehman Farooqi is a renowned critic and researcher. He has a unique approach about modern and ancient Urdu literature. Though his specialty is ‘Meeriat' (the study about Meer Taqi Meer), he has also been writing about Ghalib for a long time. In his magazine ‘Shab Khoon' he has published selected annotation of ‘Deewane Ghalib' episodically. After that it was named ‘Tafheeme Ghalib' which earned acclamations from Ghalib's adorers. In this article, Farooqi's all research works, except ‘Tafheeme Ghalib' have been analyzed in depth. They include ‘Ghalib ke Chand Pehloo', ‘Ghalib per Chaar Tehreeren' and ‘Intakhabe Kulliate Ghalib'. During the analysis other origins have also been utilized to derive benefit where needed

No full textBang e Dara is the first poetry collection by Iqbal. In it the abundance of thoughts and meanings justifies several interpretations. Professor Yusuf Saleem Chishti holds a distinguished position among the interpreters of Bang e Dara. After his interpretation of Bang e Dara nine more have been added. Among the later interpreters, Dr Shafique Ahmad is quite significant. His Sharha e Bang e Dara, even though it is a bit conventional, it still has distinct qualities. He has not given deliberate meanings to Iqbal, rather he has seen Iqbal in his own context. He has given the years of almost all the poems. He has thrown light on the background of most of the poems. He has also pointed out to the changes made in the poems. He also explains the difficult words and phrases, and allusions in the verses. He fulfills all the possible requirements for the interpretation of verse. Dr Shafique Ahmad has preferred conciseness to detailed explanation. His style is quite organized, reasonable and balanced. The present study is an effort to analyze this important interpretation
