    Tadveen of Urdu texts during the 20th  century has been carried out simultaneously and often con-currently at various centers of learning in different cities and provinces  amp; states in India and Pakistan. The historian of this tradition of Tadveen e Matn, at the very beginning is faced with the problem of how to chronicle and narrate this tradition. The chronological order is faced with the task of dealing with many and diverse centers such as Decan, Delhi, Lahore, Raampur etc where this work was carried out and no satisfactory chronological arrangement can satisfy the requirements of continuity as well as differentiation of particular characteristic of these areas. The alphabetical arrangement as well as arrangement by genre i.e, poetry and prose is also faced with the same problem of division of authors and places. In this article, writer discusses the desirability and appropriateness of recording the history the Tadveen e Matn by the method of "Dabistaan" i,e treating different centers where it was carried out as a whole describing their history as well as characteristics and evolution

    Some people criticize the personality of Ghalib for his loyalty to British and give reference to his admiration of Englishmen through his verses. In fact it is not true. To ascertain his true feelings about them, only his Qasaid are not enough. We have to turn to his letters in this regard which were written without any compromise and real face of his feelings comes to the surface through them. Although he glorified them in his verses for the sake of pension but deep in heart he hated them bitterly which has been amply endeavored in this article

    Ijtihad is the Islamic principle through which reformation is possible, particularly in the releam of jurisprudence and contemporary issues. Iqbal has utilized this apparatus in order to revive Islamic thoughts and to resolve the contemporary issues. This article is an attempt to highlight Iqbal's opinion about Ijtihad, its scope, eligibility of the mujtihid and methods of ijtihad. However, even after passing almost two third of the century, the majority of Ulema have not only the misconception about the vision of Iqbal but also blaming him. However his work proved his vision, intellect and the possible ways guided by him to solve the present issues

    Ikram-Ullah is included among renowned but somewhat neglected fiction writer of Urdu. His first Novel "Gurg-e-Shab" encircles a topic rebelling the current values of society which wasn't acceptable for the then government. However, This Novel was banned due to the description about human sexual psychology and some butter sentences and in future, its publication was banned. This article is to introduce this important psychological novel and indicates strong grip of the writer on the topic and its description. This condemned Novel of Urdu is not within the range of a common reader and this is the demand of the present era that this novel should be re-published

    French short Story Writer Guy De Maupassant and Saadat Hassan Manto have been considered to be the writers of all ages. They belonged to two different Countries with extremely divergent social and cultural background, yet there is amazing resemblance between their themes and characters. Both have a wide range of variegated characters in their short stories belonging to all spheres of life. Through magnificent female characters, they have challenged the double standards of male dominant society. Why is it so that it is always a woman that sacrifices and suffers anguish at teh hand of those she serves with utter meticulousness and scrupulousness? Manto and as well Maupassant has created some of the strongest female characters in Literature. One finds exquisite amusement in the analogy revealed at all levels of characterization in the short stories of the two impeccable men and outstanding writers of the world.

I'Inde-Fragments of India. Beginning with historical background of Indian trade, it gives the first troubles of India and enmities between the French and English East India companies. Analyzing the Hindu and Brahmans, an attempt is made to unfold the warriors of India and regent revolutions, with a fair description of the western coast. With the defeat of French, the question is raised whether England will dominate India, it is concluded that everything changes on this earth

    'Shakuntla', a Sanskrit play written by Kalidas in ancient times, has become a symbol of Indian culture and old tradition in the modern age. It is considered as classics of India on the motives of theme, characters, narrative, and diction as well. 'Shakuntla' was translated in Urdu from Basha in Fort William College for the first time by Kazim Ali Jawan but this translation led the case into some errors and deceptions like being the first play written in Urdu was the major one among all. Gyan Chand Jain, a noted scholar; has pointed out some blunders of Jawan and Akhtar Hussain Raipuri; another translator of 'Shakuntla' and lodged some objections too. This article deals with the wrong statements of the historians of Urdu in the case of being first play of Urdu and objections of Jain as well
