Saraiki Wasaib being the region of great Indus Valley has been the centre of learning. Its oldest city Multan too has been the central of this great Indus civilization. The historical journey of Multan is the outcome of its educational and literary evolution. The research and linguistic ideologies about the beginning of Urdu has shown that the beginning of Urdu and the process of its construction had taken its birth here in Saraiki Wasaib. The earlier specimen of Urdu language and literature are the proof this fact

Arsh Siddiqui is a trend setter and representative poet of Multan. He had a multi dimensional personality. Although he was a modern poet yet he had not broken his link with the glorious tradition of classical Urdu literature. His work is innovative in criticism, fiction writing, modern poem and couplet (Doha) writing. His couplets are considered valuable not only in literary horizon of Multan but also in the Urdu literature as a whole. His couplets are a blend of tradition and innovation. Indeed his work of couplet writing in Urdu is important in giving new dimensions to couplets writers in Urdu. اردو اور ہندی : وحدت /ثنویت(التہاب سے التیام تک)
Urdu and Hindi reflect two different cultural preferences of their speakers. Cultural division between the Hindus and the Muslims started effecting one common language; that was Khari-Boli, particularly from the eighteenth century. In the nineteenth century, English colonizers, after observing these cultural preferences of the two major communities of India secured that division for their own political interests. This article deals with the historical background of the Urdu Hindi controversy and discusses the fact that divergence is based on several centurial socio-political history of Hindustan. Some earnest and conscientious activities intended to keep both the languages close to each other and the efforts made to conciliate the language contestation are also discussed in this research paper
جمالیات اور "تاریخِ جمالیات": ایک مطالعہ
A little is written on the subject of the theoretical aspect of aesthetics. During colonial era Mirza Sultan Ahmad , Majnun Gorakhpuri and M M Sharif presented their theories about aesthetics. In 1912 Mirza Sultan Ahmad wrote his book on fine arts that was not purely associated to aesthetics. In 1931 Majnun Gorakhpuri wrote Tareekh e Jamaliyat, a classic work concerning to contemporary theories of aesthetics with its traditional ideas. This article presents an analytical cram of Majnun Gorakhpuri Tareekh e Jamaliyat. In 20th century Karl Marx was the most significant thinker who also changed the long-established ideas of aesthetics. Majnun Gorakhpuri accepted the Marxist central postulates of aesthetics but interpreted it with his own rationalized mental attitude

This article tries to deconstruct a popular view point about jigar Murad Abadi. Jiggar is widely considered a poet who wrote about love affairs. Either it was his own experience constructed in the most popular genre of Urdu poetry "Ghazal" or some sort of collective experience of the people of sub-continent. The paper describes the historical back ground of modernism and existentialism. It is tried to probe that how western modernism has entered into the Urdu literature. While introducing the five basic elements of modernism, it has been analyzed that how these elements reflected directly and indirectly in the short stories of Rasheed Amjad. It also analyzed that though the elements of symbol is dominated in his short stories, however his symbols profoundly become part of the debate of existentialism
