    اردو خمریات اور ریاض خیر آبادی کی انفرادیت

    Khamriat is an Arabic word that refers to wine poetry or poetry about any other form of intoxication. The tradition of Urdu Khamriat is as old as the Urdu poetry itself is. Quli Qutub Shah is considered to be first Sahib e Diwan poet in Urdu. His diwan/Kuliyat is first presentation of Khamriat at a large scale in Urdu. Quli Qutub Shah translated Persian Ghazals of Khawja Hafiz Sherazi into Dakani Urdu. He himself wrote many verses about wine and intoxication of beauty. Before Quli Qutub Shah , Urdu wine poetry had scores of poets but their poetry could not be saved properly in their times. Syed Mahmood , Feroz Shah Bahmani amp; Mushtaq were great poets of wine poetry in our Urdu tradition before Quli Qutub Shah. Wali of Deccan is famous for his wine poetry but there were many wine poets between Quli Qutub Shah and Wali Dakani. This article reviews  the Urdu tradition of Wine poetry from the beginning to Deccan and then from Sheikh Zahoor ud Din Hatim to Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib, Mirza Khan Dagh Dehelvi and Ameer Ahmad Ameer Meenai. In the next phase this article discusses the wine poetry of Syed Riaz Ahmad  Khairabadi in the light of said tradition. This article concludes that Riaz Khairabadi was a unique poetry of this Khamriat traditon in Urdu. Riaz himself was a non-drinker but on the basis of his poetry, he becomes a great name in this tradition. He promoted the tradition of Khamriat in the times when Urdu poems were being promoted

    This article deals withtwo famous authors of Urdu literature namely, Muhammad Kazim and KhrsheedRizvi. It is related to their field of specializationin Arabic literature. Both the researchers were not only interested in Urdu literature but had a special interest in Arabic literature as well and because of this reason they not only read extensively about Arabic literature but also wrote several books on it, which are an evidence of their grip on Arabic literature. Furthermore they have also translated several books from Arabic into Urdu. After a comparison between these two authors with each other, it becomes obvious that Muhammad Kazim, when compared to Khurshed Rizvi has explained in more detail about his own writing detail on Arabic literature. Khursheed Rizvi mentions about his writings very precisely. As for instance, in his books the history of Arabic literature from the age of ignorance to the modern tines he mentions the poets and prose writers of Arabic literature from then till new. On the other hand, Khursheed Rizvi mentions only the period of Bannu Ommaya. However, the brilliance of both the authors in Arabic literature is of high value

    This article is an exertion to trace the commonalities between the characters of dark skinned god Krishna and the protagonist of much loved and celebrated love tale of the sub-continent "Heer and Ranjha". Both challenged the society's stereotypes in almost a same manner. They used the tool of love as a counter narrative to the stringencies of priesthood. Fascination with the dark skinned Krishna had been so awe-inspiring in the sub-continent that even the fair skinned Aryans had to willy-nilly accept him as a god. This article is an effort to comprehend the difference between Aryan concept of Krishna and the indigenous one. The character of water buffalo in Punjabi literature has also been discussed briefly in this context as both had a strapping affiliation with it

    Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi was one of the greatest names in Urdu literature. He had great contributions in fiction writing, column writing and criticism in Urdu literature. He was also considered a great personality who set precedents in critical literature. He showed importance of ideological principles in Urdu literature. He had very deep vision regarding literary ideologies and critical thinking. He described Allama's work in MAANI KI TALASH in detail. He published six literary collections in a period of twenty years which also included speeches and processions. He also got many publications in very renowned literary journals and produced many critical reviews in Urdu literature. He highlighted writer's hegemony, carelessness, national issues, nation's philosophical mental capabilities. His articles are the result of thorough study and critical thinking which greatly inspired their readers. These literary works reflect untiring work and utmost seriousness of the writer. Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi was appreciated across the board due to his deep critical thinking and outstanding literary work. He also wrote about different genres in Urdu literature and presented his views related to various social and progressive movements.
