    "Gurg-i-shab" is a famous novel of Ikram ullah published in 1978. It is an important novel in relation to the sensitivity of Eastern values. Basically it is a psychological novel whose story revolves around a man "Shafi/Zafar". He is illegitimate child of his step brother that's why faces humiliation and disgrace everywhere. He suffers from a certin level of stress as a result many psychological and sexual disorders are arising. He is living in a society where Human being is bound by dead values and moral system. He endures humiliation all his life despite being innocent. This novel and Shafi's character is a severe criticism on the collective attitude of our society which drives a Conscious person to a Mental Asylum

    Colonialists are the forces that try to occupy all the resources of the world, and after domination, these forces try to implement their ideologies and lifestyle on the colonized nations. The Sub-continent also remained in the clutches of colonial and imperialists forces and they injured both the individual and the society. The critics of that contemporary era could not remain aloof from such an atmosphere, and they made colonialism an open secret by condemning it.     A Study in the Developments of the Macro-Structure of Siraiki Dictionaries

    The present study investigates and evaluates the macro-structure of the dictionaries of the Siraiki language. The main objective of this research is to explore the strengths and weaknesses of almost all the existing Siraiki dictionaries in the light of the modern postulates of lexicography. This research is of qualitative nature. A check-list of the properties of the macro-structure of dictionaries was prepared following the studies of Hartmann (1983), Bergenholtz and Trap (1995), Béjoint (2000), Hartmann (2001), Landau (2001), Jackson (2002), Bowker (2003) and Ahmad (2009, 2010). Seventeen dictionaries of the Siraiki language were collected from different sources and were analyzed. A list consisting of thirteen properties of the macro-structure of dictionaries was prepared. These dictionaries were divided into two sections: (a) dictionaries compiled before the creation of Pakistan and (b) dictionaries compiled after the creation of Pakistan. The study reported that the dictionaries, published before and after the partition, have been found with many deficiencies regarding their macro-structure. The most important components of the macro-structure of the dictionaries just like guide for user, symbol of pronunciation, encyclopedic note, middle matter, indices, information label and list of defining vocabulary were not entertained by a single dictionary

    Dr. Azam Kuraivi is one of the famous fiction writers of the early period when Urdu short story began. He did not only confirm the tradition of Pram Chand but also provided strong and stable identities. He also gave a new and unique creative spirit to Urdu fiction. We can find clear pictures of social life, culture, and politics, religious and ethical values in his stories. He also focuses on the social life around us as truth as social consultation. Specifically, they represent eastern traditions. His fiction also has a good historical and cultural aesthetic sense. These concepts of the early twentieth century are very important and remarkable. Kuraivi's short stories use simple language, natural style and sweetness of phrases. All these features make his stories very popular. We can find a beautiful blend of Persian and Hindi diction in his short stories, which is missing in other Urdu short story writers. So, we can say that he is a unique writer so far as beauty of language is concerned

That is why, at present, poets have depicted various conditions of violation, destruction, unrest and disordering different areas of the world along with the expression of their delicate feelings. In this context, there has been a strong tradition of writing up city ruination before and after Meer and Sauda. In modern poetry, there is no such tradition but many forms of annihilation of consciousness become a part of modern poetry. Poets have versified the ruination of multihued cities regardless of their geographical boundaries. All these ruinations are manmade and man's fate as a result of violation of natural laws.
