This movement made literature public and made it a representation of life and an adequate source for future development. People affiliated with this movement have raised their voices against hunger, social decline, poverty and slavery. Faiz Ahmad Faiz was the strong voice among the people associated with the progressive literary movement. Faiz put forward the slogan of revolution, which is why he faced difficulties in manila. No full textMoulvi Mumtaz Ali and Sheikh Abdullah are the originator of feminist's discourse in colonial Hindustan. Both personalities are advocating women rights in India. They brought women's journals for their education. Molvi Mumtaz Ali launched journal "Tahzeeb-i-Niswan" in 1898 and Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah launched monthly journal "Khatoon" from Aligarh. Both wrote book and articles with the theme of gender equality. Both are advocating equal rights for women. For this purpose Molvi Mumtaz Ali wrote a book "Haqooq-i-Niswan" and Sheikh Muhmmad Abdullah wrote a book " Islam main aurat ka darja" (Status of women in Islam)
Word-Picture Conjunction: A Multimodal Discourse Analysis of Cellular Network Companies Slogans in Pakistan
Full text linkWord -picture conjunction is an effective mode of communication. Words cannot be understood without pictures and vice versa. The present study investigates how linguistic and meta-linguistic features of cellular network companies are employed to propagate desired ideology to the target audience to win their consent through discursive moves. The data for the present research has been collected from Mobilink Jazz's slogans. The time span for data collection ranges from year 2015-16. The methodological perspectives used in the present research include Fairclough (1993) model of Critical Discourse Analysis, Barthes' (1974) model of Semiological Discourse Analysis and Kruger's (2000) model of Focus Group Discussion analysis. The data used in the study comprises three modes (linguistic, visual and views of focus group participants). This justifies the use of tri-angular research method employed in the study. The research contends that role of new media has increased communication among the people the world over. Additionally, it finds that new media is one of the best sites for ideological investment because significance of visual and verbal practices has increased many folds

Ahmad Nadeem Qasimi was one of the great names of Urdu literature and known as a wonderful writer. He always had a deep perspective of Urdu literature. He applied and showed his expertise in different genres of Urdu literature included poetry, fiction, column, critical writing, short stories, letters, and essays. He also wrote many essays on literature related to children. He knew that Children are important asset for our society and future. There is rich literature available in different languages about children and for their trainings. Many poets and literary persons wrote a lot about children in different genres. Ahmad Nadeem Qasimi also contributed a lot in this important type of Urdu literature. He wrote a large number of poems for children which are of great value. The main purpose of that writing was nothing but to train children morally and ethically. The research showed that these topics are related to social issues. He did his best to motivate children towards bravery, Islamism and created a sense of loyalty for his nation. His stories are not only valuable for children but also a source of education for the whole society. Children's literature will always create positivity among new generation. It will also provide guidance towards practical life. Qasmi's short stories not only protect children from negativities but also create awareness for respecting human values and humanism among children. It also promotes children's creativity and produce confidence among young blood

No full textRumi and Iqbal have much similarity of thought. Both are great poets and their favourite field is passion and poetry through which both have enlightened the topics with their brightening. The poetry of both of them contains deep amplitude. In his famous poem about "Qurtaba", Iqbal has followed Rumi completely while explaining passion. No scholar or poet has been impressed by Rumi, as much as Iqbal has been impressed. In his book Bal-e-Jibreel, Iqbal has mentioned Rumi as a spiral teacher and himself Hindi descriple. Iqbal considers thoughts of Rumi as constructive material for the strength and existence of nations. A strong spiritual connection is found in both of them so much so that in "Israr-e-khudi" and "Armagan-e-Hijaz" Iqbal considers Rumi as spiritual guide. Imagination about passion and Intellect is absolutely common and Iqbal considers Intellect as defective and undependable

The unique thing about Tarar is that he has presented the ancient and modern civilization of Lahore in the novel as parallel manner. On the whole this novel may well be termed as the representative as well as the reflection of the civilization of Lahore. This novel shows the real love of Tarar with the civilization of Lahore
