    Apart from being a great poet and philosopher, Iqbal was also a sage. However, he rescued the nation of Islam from the problems of slavery, ignorance, inferiority complex and decline. He made the personalities of the Companions, saints and Sufis among the ideal personalities of the Islamic nation in a special way in his poem, and he tried his best to create in them the virtues found in him. Allama taught the truthfulness of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq, the justice of Hazrat Umar Farooq, the courage of Hazrat Ali, the sacrifice of Imam Hussain. He described the spirit of martyrdom of Hazrat Ubaidah, the piety and intelligence of Hazrat Salman Farsi and the leadership of Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed as ideal for modern Muslims. Thus in Sufis and saints, Hazrat Owais Qarni's Ishq Rasool, Hazrat Junaid's Vision, Hazrat Imam Ghazali's knowledge and intelligence, Mujaddid Allaf Sani confidence and Khwaja Moin-ud-Din's love for humanity given the best examples and repeated urges to imitate their lives and teachings, This article gives a brief overview on how Allama Iqbal viewed and portrayed these great personalities

    This article describes the background and early impressions of the progressive movement with the meaning of progressive Urdu criticism. The progressive movement is the very important movement in Urdu literature after the Romantic Movement. The best writers of India and Pakistan have been associated with this movement. The Progressive movement is a movement that consumes an important part in alleviating the people politically, economically, socially and culturally, keeping in view the social elements and in attracting them from regression to modernity.     Literature is the mirror of the outward and inward society. When there is an atmosphere of restriction in society, people do not have the freedom to live as they wish. The literature created in this atmosphere describes all the oppressors and restrictions that took place in this era. Prisoner literature is a type of literature. Although it has not yet found the place and status in literature have. Notable aspects of prisoner literature include the historical aspect, the social and cultural aspect, and psychological aspect. Concept of crime and punishment begin with the start of human life on earth. Sometimes innocent people should also imprison. Hazrat Yousaf was innocent but remained in prison .Our Holy prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) remained in Shab-e-Abi Talib for three years. In Karbala after the shahadat of Hazrat Imam Hussain his four years old youngest daughter lost her life in prison. Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Tamia should face hardships in prison. Imam Hanbal also faces troubles and hardships in jail. Imam Mousa Kazim spends fourteen years in prison in regimen of Haroon Rasheed. There are many countless examples in human history when those who raised the voice of truth were hanged. But the voice of truth could not be pressed by anyone

    There are almost 12 centers of Tadveen e Matn throughout the length and breadth of India and Pakistan. Prominent among these are Deccan, Lahore, Delhi, Karachi and Rampur etc. where learned scholars carried out Tadveen of manuscripts and texts. One such center is Deccan where scholars tried to preserve the manuscripts of these old poets and writers who belonged to Deccan. One of the great early poets of Deccan was Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutab Shah. He has been known to be the first ‘Sahib e Diwan’ Urdu poet. He was 5th king of Golkunda state of Deccan, in South India. His poetry encompasses a vast panorama of subjects, events, and customs and shows him in a genuine human light. He has covered a large number of festivals and ‘Tehwaars’ both local as well as religious. In this article the writers carry an analysis of his poetry with reference to Muslim festivals. His Kulliyat consists of almost fifty thousand verses and there is a variety of poetical verses. He as a king observed and narrates the culture and rituals of Deccan. Firstly he draws a picture of Hindustani Civilization in his poetry. A colorful world of Deccan’s Islamic rituals can be seen in his poems. In this article scholars have narrated this aspect of His poetry by giving poetical examples
