In this paper, a critical review of a very important work regarding Urdu novel and contemporary awareness has been presented. This work can be considered as a rich research effort in the search for contemporary awareness in Urdu novels. This paper not only provides a thorough critical review of this work but also sheds light on the various questions raised in it andtheir answers. This book covers the period from the beginning of novel writing to the 21st century. An analytical study of the book has been done in this paper

Shoukat Siddiqui is a prominent name of modern urdu novel. His novels depict the true image of our society. His novel “Khuda Ki Basti” was published in 1959. A lot of research and critical work from social perspective has been done on this novel. Apart from presenting social demerits and moral evils, the story brings into limelight the decadence of marital values and family unity. It skillfully represents that how humility, lowliness and sexual indulgence ruin a family. Since family is an important pillar of a society thus family life affects social values whereas society has a strong impact on the family life. The purpose of this article is to analyze “Khuda Ki Basti” from an outlook of a family life which will definitely highlight some new aspects

He wrote many poems but he become famous by his lyrics poetry. His lyrics have the sorrows, desires, inequality of rights of humanity. He had a great love and passion for the deprived class. Love has been well-dealt Subject matter in Urdu genre, Ghazal since from the classical age to the contemporary one. Nevertheless, this subject matter has never been addressed same everywhere; it kept on switching itself according to the societal shift about love relationship, if the beloved was callous in the classical Urdu Ghazal, the lover has sharply changed his/ her role in the contemporary presentation. To study the love themes in the contemporary Ghazal in contrast with the classical Ghazal underpins the bond of socio-literary layers of understanding. This search article aims at finding the paradigm shift of love and hatred relationship in the context of contemporary and classical Ghazal. This may help us define some of the modes of Urdu Ghazal and the shifts of emotional science in the line with the recent cultural and moral shift

Letter writing is important prose sort of Urdu literature. It has long been an important source of biographical information, a powerful tool to understand the personality of the writer and shows the historical importance of that very era. That’s why letters of great writers and poets have acquired prime importance in Urdu letter writing history. Letters reveal the personal and private life of writers and have great literary importance as they are important source of getting first-hand knowledge of writer’s personal and private life and the era which he represents. Letters from important historical figures like Shibli, Ghalib,Allama Iqbal etc can shed light on what they were thinking, what was happening in their lives when they were making history and the importance of era in which they were living.Letter writing has social value too and the letters of scholars, critics, poets, religious scholars, thinkers and intellectuals have great place in Urdu literary history

Fallen Dust is a book written by French author Franz Fanon. This book was written in French in 1961. In this book, the author analyzes the mental and psychological effects of metaphor on nations and individuals, as well as the social, cultural and social movements that lead people to get rid of metaphor and political concepts were also discussed. Franz Fanon was a victim of French imperialism. Franz Fanon was a revolutionary intellectual. Fanon's politics begins with his anger and reaction to racism which was beginning to touch the boundaries of segregation (black racism and nationalism). But Fanon proved the universality of mankind through his labor and struggle. By participating in the process of resistance, they became a new generation in understanding the truths of society and in political struggle. This book was written against the neo-demographic system and nationalism from a psychological and Marxist point of view. Different techniques have been used for comedy in different languages. The first technique is based on comparison. For instance, based on the irregularities created by the difference and similarities between two things, a comedy is created. Another prominent technique is the utilization of comic characters who create comedy through their dilapidated appearances. Brilliance in language, oration comic appearances and comic expressions are also some important features of comedy. Featuring comic characters in a writing is a most effective technique in prose writing and these characters are usually inflexible in their personality. further more parody is also an important technique in comedy. Urdu is a language which was born out of collaboration of multiple languages and that is why it possesses wide linguistic horizons so that it contains with in itself an attractive vocabulary and a distinguished grammar. Hence, not only it relates itself with Persian but it also impersonates the brilliance of Arabic, Turkish Sanskrit, English and Punjabi. Whenever we observe the traditions of comedy in Urdu language it is necessary to go through the of comedy in aforementioned language as well
