Perso-Arabic Urdu script is derived from a Persian modification of Arabicscript and it has been modified to fulfill the requirements of Indo-Aryan phonemes.Among the consonants Urdu has duplicate and triplicate letters standing for the samesound. According to left hand critics, reading of Urdu script is quite difficult,confusing and challenging due to these same letters. Urdu language is also rich inArabic, Persian and Turkish vocabulary.Ottoman Turkish was an invented language of Ottoman Elite, having manywords of Arabic and Persian and written in a modified Arabic script. The paper presents an analysis of Juan Rulfo's novel 'Pedro Paramo' in which the writer attempts to describe the mumbles of fast waning lower middle class of Mexican colonial society. It is evident that causes and effects of political, social and cultural changes, introduced by colonial settlers to attain their economic motives, can still be felt even after the end of colonial period. The study concludes that this twentieth century novel, keeping in view the precolonial, colonial past and post-colonial history of Mexico and the spirit of the era, seeks to give voice to the subdued segments of the society, while coming out of the effects of European literature. And the voice seems to challenge the power relations in Mexican society

Various painters took to offeringresistance through their artistic medium in an aesthetically rich manner characterizedby symbolic expression of resistance in terms of craft and content of their paintings.Their artistic contribution paved way for socio-political resistance at a large scale, thusstifling the onslaught of dictatorial oppression
