        Haider Bakhsh Haideri was the famous translator in the department of Hindustani language, Fort William College. He translated the tale of Hatim Tai's seven riddles with the title "Araaish e Mehfil". Haideri was very judicious and visionary person and he opted such simple style that laid the basis of Urdu prose. This tale encompasses the signs of Hindu-Muslim culture's moral values, thought and philosophy, individualism and universalism, religion and divinity, and logic and mythos. In this article, all aspects of the critique on "Araish e Mehfil" have been discussed and worth of this masterpiece of ancient folk literature has been analyzed

    The culture of any region the world is unique in its customs, traditions, behaviour and values which bring the people sharing the same culture closer to each other and draw a distinguishing line to show differences with the other cultures. The culture depicts the non material aspects of social life of any nation while civilization reflects the material part of that society. In both culture and civilization, human is the pivotal point of the society who alongwith their companions provide the driving force to both of these social aspects. Pakistani culture is enriched with different kinds of local cultures which give birth to a central culture that exhibits the national perspective of the Pakistani society. Soon after the creation of Pakistan, different writers and critics gave attention to the discourse of culture and civilization in their writings. Dr. Saleem Akhtar is one prominent literary and critical figure among them, who vibrated his pen on the discourse of culture and civilization. In this article, the focus is on the cultural and civilizational thoughts of Dr. Saleem Akhtar. In this respect, Adab aur Culture is one of his finest books which attracted the literary, critical and cultural circles of the sub-continent. He has also explained the issues and problems in building a national culture. He gives a separate conceptual place to both culture and civilization in his writings.     Feminism is the name of a movement that not only calls for women's rights but also reacts to the exploitation of women. Like other global movements in the world, Feminism originated in the West in the early eighteenth century. Very soon this movement gained global popularity and its various branches came into being. Writers and poets around the world also welcomed the movement. The voice of this movement in the colonial period began to be heard in the subcontinent as well. Feminist ideology has been promoted by poets and writers like Maulana Hali and Allama Rashid al-Khari. Women's morale was raised and they too came out on the field to protect their rights. Women tried to change exploitative attitudes through poetry and fiction, and played a vital role to promote feminist thinking. Kishwar Naheed is one such name in Urdu literature who used poetry and prose to develop feminist ideology. The main purpose of this article is to highlight the theoretical view of feminism and ecofeminism in Kishwar Naheed's writings
