Sexual Violence against Women in India: A Review
The Constitution of India provides certain special privileges to the women considering their tender nature but still strong patriarchal traditions persist in many different societal parts which prevent the actual realization of these rights. Patriarchal notion treats women as their chattel and there are everyday instances of sexual violence against women. Sexual violence against women is the most odious form of violence and it is nothing less than the showcasing of male dominance. Women’s sexuality is one important area of women’s subordination and sexual harassment. There are ample laws to deal with cases relating to sexual violence but still, there is no lessening of these ghastly incidents against women. This paper intends to highlight the trauma of sexual violence faced by women in India historically and the nuances of the prevalent laws in their protection
Land Certification Policy through Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) in Malang Regency of Indonesia: Study on Policy Implementation of the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency
The land is a public good that has a high enough economic value because the land provisions and the number of people who need land for activities increases. This is the basis for national and international regulations that justify the need for the presence of a government that has the power to regulate and limit the absolute freedom of use of property rights by legal persons with the status of citizens. The existence of the state in regulating land ownership is the basis for legal certainty in regulating justice in society. The State's authority to be present in land affairs is regulated by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 1960 concerning Basic Regulations on Agrarian Principles (Article 19) which states to ensure legal certainty by the Government through registration including: first, measurement, mapping and land bookkeeping; second, the registration of land rights and the transfer of these rights; and third, the issuance of letters of proof of ownership rights. in the legal principle of the law above, it is explained through Government Regulation Number 24 of 1997 concerning Land Registration, explains the purpose and use of land registration as legal certainty for land rights holders and is explained in more detail through the regulation of the State Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Number 6 2018 concerning Complete Systematic Land Registration of PTSL as the embodiment of Agrarian Reform. One of the districts that implement the PTSL Program is the Malang district with the Perbup Kab. Malang number 14 of 2018 which regulates the financing of the Complete Systematic Land Registration Preparation Charged to the Community with a 2018 target of a quota of 62,000 (sixty-two thousand) fields spread over 15 (fifteen) Districts and 23 (twenty-three) Villages that become The formulation of the research problem is to study the implementation of PTSL policies, the supporting and inhibiting factors of the program and the implementation model of land administration policies as land reform through the PTSL program. The theory in this study focuses on the public policy process with an approach to implementing public policy in the continental state system to explain government actions that have a set of authoritative value authority in political, legal and financial aspects as the government s response to a series of utilitarian alternatives in solving community problems that have the potential for conflict. contradictions of various procedures, actors and substantive social problems, the government must have ethical awareness to create maximum happiness and minimize suffering and injustice in society. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach as a naturalistic approach that collects secondary and primary data types with the data sources in this study being research informants, events, and documents and using triangulation techniques as a combination methodological technique to understand a phenomenon holistically. From the results of the study, it was found that several phenomena regarding the implementation of land certificate policies through the PTSL program in the Malang Regency had been regulated through the Regency Perbup. Malang number 14 of 2018 as a massive PTSL technical implementation in the Malang Regency with a fairly large target in 2021 with a target of 97,225 plots of land this is a form of Good Government and Public Relations (HAM). In the implementation of the PTSL stage, it was in accordance with applicable procedures and rules as well as physical and juridical requirements with the implementation involving village officials as a technical team. Various villages have differences in the estimation of PTSL financing, but the case model is relatively the same, namely the lack of budget because many. Activities are outside the plan and lead to corporate, the applicant's physical evidence is mostly in the form of letter C and the lack of data collection on changes in land status in the village ledger. the delay in the completion of the PTSL field officer could potentially lead to horizontal conflicts and the risk of a lawsuit over the certificate of ownership of the PTSL program. Such problems need to change the PTSL mechanism that applies the value of utilitarianism such as the adjustment of field officers to the location of the PTSL program, sharing of community financing, village governments, and local governments. the delay in the completion of the PTSL field officer could potentially lead to horizontal conflicts and the risk of a lawsuit over the certificate of ownership of the PTSL program. Motor Vehicle Testing Service: Implementation Study on Motor Vehicle Testing Services Regulation at the East Kutai, of Indonesia
Describe and analyze the motor vehicle testing service policy implementation based on the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 19 of 2021 at the East Kutai Regency Transportation Service. Describe and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the motor vehicle testing service policy based on the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 19 of 2021 at the East Kutai Regency Transportation Service. This location was chosen based on the following factors: (1) the quality of service for testing motor vehicles is still poor, (2) the number of traffic accidents is high, (3) environmental pollution is still a problem, and (4) the number of motorized vehicles undergoing testing is decreasing. In this study, the informants were Unit executor of Motor Vehicle Testing for the East Kutai Regency Transportation Service. Based on the indicators of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure, implementing the motor vehicle testing service policy based on Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 19 of 2021 at the East Kutai Regency Transportation Service can be deemed successful, despite the presence of several impeding factors. According to the "communication" indicator, implementing the motor vehicle testing service policy at the Transportation Service Office of East Kutai Regency has been carried out effectively; it is effectively communicated to implement personnel through clear and accurate instructions and from the higher authority, consistently and decisively. Contribution of Research results theoretically, the results of this study should be able to construct a theory of public policy execution about motor vehicle testing services based on the pertinent ministerial regulations
Study of Development of Agro tourism in the Poncokusumo District of Malang City
This study aimed to examine the implementation of agro-tourism-based tourism development policies in Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency, as well as the variables facilitating and impeding implementation. This study employs a qualitative approach. This research employs data collection methods: interview, documentation, and observation. This investigation was conducted in the Poncokusumo District of the Malang Regency in the province of East Java. Poncokusumo subdistrict can cultivate tourism sub-sectors, food crop agriculture, vegetables, horticulture, plantations, and livestock. The results indicated that the implementation of agro-tourism-based tourism development policies has been proceeding well. District, Malang Regency is more widely known and people are more interested in visiting. The local government should be allowed to enhance the Department of Tourism and Culture budget because the current budget is insufficient to maximize the development of Malang's tremendous tourism potential. They are increasing human resources, particularly in developing agro-tourism-based tourism, in the Malang Regency government through education and competency training to deliver more professional and competent services. Attributes of Board of Directors and Organizational Performance: A Case of Information and Community Technology Companies in Nigeria
There are pieces of evidence revealing that attributes of the corporate board contribute to increased organizational performance; however, studies are not forthcoming coming as to whether certain attributes of the board of directors like board diversity and board meetings may drive the performance of information and communication technology companies in Nigeria. Consequently, this study was carried out with the view to assessing whether attributes of the board of directors drive the performance of information and communication technology companies in Nigeria. Using ex-post facto research design, secondary data were gotten from financial statements of quoted information and communication technology companies on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange Group from 2012-2021. Data obtained were analyzed via descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. In specific, the fixed and random effect regression model showed that board diversity and board meetings contribute significantly to driving the performance of information and communication technology companies. Remarkably, it was found that while board diversity negatively drives performance, board meetings positively drive the performance of information and communication technology companies in Nigeria. In view of the findings, this study recommended that the management of information and communication technology companies should increase the number of board meetings while at the same time, keeping a moderate level of gender diversity in the boardroom in order to ensure increased market-to-book-value of their company
Conflict Management and Organizational Performance in Nigeria
This study investigated the relationship between conflict management and organizational performance in Nigeria using the descriptive survey design. The dependent variable is organizational performance (proxied as service quality and productivity) and the independent variable is conflict management. The questionnaire was administered to six hundred (600) respondents out of which five hundred and forty-four (544) were fully retrieved and completed. Data obtained were analyzed using both descriptive (mean, minimum, and maximum values, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation) and inferential (variance inflation factor and Lawley correlation) statistical tools. The findings of the study revealed that when conflict is adequately managed, it would result in increased organizational performance, particularly in areas of service quality and productivity. On the basis of the findings, it was recommended that the management of organizations should strive towards conflict management by ensuring employees have the right skills and are willing to accept authority and clarity of the chain of command. More so, the management of an organization needs to ensure elaborate job descriptions and incessant interaction between an organization's management and employees in order to promote organizational performance in Nigeria.  
Utilization of the Integrated Service Application System [SIAPEL] in Civil Service Retirement Administration Services : Study of Employment Policy Implementation based on Malang Regency Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2012 concerning the Implementation of Malang Regency Public Services
This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Integrated Service Application System (SIAPEL) policy in PNS Pension Administration Services in the Malang Regency Government and to identify and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Integrated Service Application System (SIAPEL) policy in the Civil Service Pension Administration Service in the Malang Regency Government. This research method is qualitative research. The implementation of pension administration services by utilizing SIAPEL at BKPSDM in terms of the number of implementing apparatus, namely SIAPEL Operators and One-Stop Service officers at BKPSDM is still limited so that it is less effective in carrying out their official duties and Increasing the competence of implementing apparatus by carrying out Technical Training for SIAPEL Operators is still very limited because the system is still updating. The supporting factor for the implementation of the SIAPEL policy is the bupati's policy on public services that must be perfected to encourage innovation in the emergence of the Siapel system. The inhibiting factor is that the development of technology in the digitalization era is considered sudden so technical implementers do not yet have full readiness in terms of operationalization
Dual System of Education (Implemented Policies Public Study of Dual System Educational Management Functions) at SMK Petra Malang City of Indonesia
Dual System Education is a form of professional education that combines systemically and synchronously with school education programs with the industrial world. Through Vocational Schools, which number 14.247 units throughout Indonesia, specifically for East Java, there are 3.309 public and private units, while the city of Malang is 43 units, including Petra Vocational School (SMK PETRA) in which the number of students does not get the minimum target, which is below 60 students. Given the importance of the success of the educational goals of Vocational High Schools (SMK), in producing skilled workers through Dual System Education, which is carried out by the School. The focus of this research is Dual System Education with Indicators, Planning, Organizing, and Supervision as well as the factors behind the Internal factors: infrastructure, origin of students and the economy of parents and funding, while external factors are Opportunity, Market, Distinctiveness and Motivation. The objectives of this research are to: (1) describe and analyze the implementation of dual system education in Petra Vocational High School Malang, (2) describe and analyze the factors behind the implementation of system education in Petra Vocational High School Malang. While the approach of this research is qualitative with a phenomenological study design, as well as data collection techniques using interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by reviewing data, organizing, data collection, units that can be managed, synthesizing, looking for patterns, finding what magnitudes will be studied together ; data condensation, data display and Conclusion Drawing/Verification that are reported systematically. Research findings show that: 1) PSG planning programs and working groups formed, 2) Organizing by involving working groups, school councils, and industry, 3) Mobilization of the ability to organize all personnel and, 4) Supervision is carried out regularly in PSG, 5) Multi-dimensional factors Internal: infrastructure, distant students, poor parents and funding from BOS, and External: opportunities, markets, student characteristics and motivation
The Culture “Ma'danaka” in Bajau Tribe community Social Interaction: Study of Social Behavior and Social Integration of the Bontang Kuala Community, East Kalimantan on Indonesia
The purpose of this study is to formulate a model of the ma'danaka cultural identity of the Bajau tribe in the midst of the heterogeneity of cross-cultural communication. The activity of preserving culture as a system has various interrelated elements with parts of the life system in the community. Culture as an embryo that emerges from society. Culture is born into a society where all human actions are culture. Preserving culture besides having an ideological content is a step to strengthen culture, history and identity. The cross-cultural communication that exists between the Bajau and immigrant tribes is one of the diversity that exists in Bontang Kuala. The Bajau tribe, which is known as a sea tribe, is able to carry out good social interactions with various immigrant tribes. In this study, the main theory used is the theory of social interaction, social change, and social behavior. Meanwhile, the supporting theories are the theory of social change, social structure theory, conflict theory, and functional structure theory. Meanwhile, the method of this research is qualitative analysis using data analysis techniques of Milles and Hubeman involving 7 informants to obtain the data. The results of this study include: a) social interaction is built on heterogeneity and differences in customary values, social behavior created by collaborating the behavior of land and sea and the entry of Islam changes patterns of social interaction and forms new social behavior. b) Two-way communication patterns are carried out for cultural exchange and acceptance. Tejasi changes in the living traditions, livelihood, language of discussion and dominant rituals of the Bajau tribe. As well as intercultural communication can determine, maintain, develop culture so that it can be passed on to the next generation. c) Behavioral tendencies in interpreting customary values: behavior that adopts the basic values ??of the Bajau tribe such as respecting the sea. brotherhood values, sharing goods and changing goods Positive and negative impacts. Positive impacts: strengthening values, strengthening tribal existence, increasing tolerance, and integrating socio-cultural values. Negative impacts: rejection of values, ethnic disintegration, message distortion, horizontal conflict. Ma'danaka in social interaction contributes positively and contributes to the order and peace of the life of the Bajau and other tribes.
 
Study on Impact of COVID -19 Pandemic and short term Lockdown on Pineapple Industry in Kerala state of India
Covid 19 has made unprecedented challenges to migrants especially women migrants who are one of the most vulnerable groups of this pandemic since most of the women migrants are working in informal and social service sector. Kerala is one of the highest women emigrating states in India. The focal point of this study is to find out both the social and economic problems faced by women emigrants from Kerala due to Covid 19. To find out these problems, primary data were collected from women emigrants from Neendoor panchayat in Kottayam district in Kerala through snowball sampling technique. Since the problems faced by women emigrants in Gulf and developed countries are not same due to this pandemic, this study also examines this difference
