Generation Z Voter Behavior: Case Study of Generation Z Voter Behavior Ahead of the 2024 Surabaya City Regional Head Election
This article reveals the political behavior of Generation Z in the city of Surabaya ahead of the Regional Head Election which elects the 2024 Mayor and Deputy Mayor which will be held in October 2024. The political behavior that is the focus of the study is Generation Z's decision to use their right to vote or not to use their right to vote. Generation Z's voting behavior is categorized based on rational voters, traditional voters and critical voters. The research approach uses a qualitative approach, with a naturalistic or field research method. Data was obtained from informants who were divided into two categories, namely generation Z informants who had decided to use their right to vote, and informants from generation Z who had decided not to use their right to vote. The differentiation of informants is intended to explore factors supporting participation and factors inhibiting participation. An important research result is that in general the voting behavior of generation Z in the city of Surabaya is rational voters. This dissertation's in-depth focus is on Supporting Factors which can be differentiated from a Sociological perspective and a Psychological perspective. The Sociological perspective refers to the findings of how informants interact with their social environment, while the Psychological perspective refers to how psychological symptoms occur in generation Z. Inhibiting factors are also seen from a Sociological and Psychological perspective. Sociological factors that support generation Z's participation in the Surabaya Mayoral Election include: the role of the Surabaya KPU, the role of the Surabaya City Bawaslu, the Surabaya city government, peer groups, and the role of props. Meanwhile, psychological perspectives that support participation include; personal assessment, empathy, positive image, and social atmosphere. Meanwhile, factors inhibiting participation from a sociological perspective found; distance between domiciles, family factors, hoaxes or fake news. Psychological inhibiting factors include; disappointment with circumstances, and alienation
Analysis of Influencing Factors: Integrity of Financial Reporting: Study on Mining Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the Period 2018-2021
This study aims to analyze the effect of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, leverage and company size on the integrity of financial statements in mining companies for the 2018-2021 period which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The sample selection in this study used purposive sampling, namely the selection of samples based on certain criteria. The data used in this study is secondary data which consists of financial reports on 21 mining companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The data collection technique used in this study is the documentation technique. The analytical tools used in this study were descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation and heteroscedasticity), multiple linear regression tests, and hypothesis testing (f test, r2 test and t test). Based on the results of these studies, the conclusions are drawn as follows: 1) Managerial ownership and leverage have no significant effect on the integrity of financial statements. 2) Meanwhile, institutional ownership and company size have a significant effect on the integrity of financial reports for mining companies for the 2018-2021 period which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). All independent variables in this study simultaneously affect the integrity of financial statements. Managerial ownership, institutional ownership, leverage, and company size have an influence on the integrity of financial statements by 15.9% while 84.1% are influenced by other factors outside the variables of this study
Exploring the Experience of Teachers in Management of discipline among the Students using Mentorship in Secondary Schools in Thika West Sub-County, Kiambu County-Kenya
Formal education conducted through a schooling system in contemporary society is key to the integral development of persons and in turn, societal development. It provides an opportunity to enhance holistic development including physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and moral guaranteeing a prosperous society. We utilized a qualitative phenomenological study design, using a face-to-face interview to collect data from 10 secondary school teachers in Thika sub-county-Kiambu County. Audio-recorded data was transcribed and analysed using an inductive thematic approach, and results were presented in narrations. Results revealed that mentorship is a new approach in schools. Different measures which included Preventive measures, Supportive discipline, and corrective measures were utilized in managing discipline among the students. Challenges involved in mentorship programs included inadequate time, lack of training, and Lack of, or weak structures to sustain effective mentorship programs. Mentoring as a model for managing discipline is a new approach that is not well entrenched in schools. It has challenges and therefore requires a lot of support and empowerment for teachers to be able to domesticate it in their cultures and day-to-day engagement with students. Therefore, to use alternative approaches in disciplining students, it is imperative to equip teachers with adequate skills to cultivate cooperative relationships that encourage students to be open and close to being mentored and guided. In addition, there should be concerted efforts by the school Boards of Management (BOMs) as well as the government through the Ministry of Education to capacity build the parents through seminars and workshops to appreciate their role in their children’s discipline to promote sustained and seamless support of the children
Study of Green Human Resource Management and Employees’ Performance in Federal Tertiary Institutions in Ogun State, Nigeria
The study looked at how employees performed at Federal Tertiary Institutions in Ogun State, Nigeria, in relation to green human resource management. The study specifically looked into how employees' performance was impacted by green pay and benefits as well as green communication in Federal Tertiary Institutions in Ogun State. Three Federal Tertiary Institutions in Ogun State hosted the study. For the study, a survey research design was used. A sample size of 303 was taken from the 1441 academic staff members of the Federal Tertiary Institutions in Ogun State, Nigeria, who make up the study's population. Due to the fact that these institutions are the only Federal Tertiary institutions in the State, a purposive selection technique was utilized to choose the sample. Taro Yamane sample size calculation formula was used to determine the sample size. Using a systematic, customized questionnaire, primary source data for the study were gathered. Component factor analysis and Cronbach Alpha statistics were used to examine the psychometric qualities (validity and reliability) of the instrument. Using SPSS version 26, multiple linear regression was employed to assess the descriptive and inferential statistics of the study's data. According to the study, green pay and benefits have a favorable, noteworthy impact on employees' performance. According to the study's findings, there is a strong positive correlation between green human resource management and employee performance.
 
Neighborhood Program in Community Empowerment and Infrastructure Development
This article describes and analyzes the implementation obstacles to the RT Keren policy in community empowerment and infrastructure development in the Sentul Village. The research location was conducted in Sentul Village, Blitar City, East Java Province. There are two sorts of data sources: primary and secondary. Primary data was obtained from the Urban village head, Urban village secretary, and technical executor of development affairs at the RT/RW (Neighbourhood/Hamlet) level. Secondary data consists of data that has been transformed into documents, reports, and other formats. Data analysis consisted of multiple steps, including data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The research results found if The implementation of the Keren RT Program has been running in accordance with Blitar Mayor Regulation Number 6 of 2022. This implementation consists of 4 stages: planning, preparation, implementation, and supervision. From these 4 stages, it can be seen if the community's response is outstanding, the implementation of the program has used the principles of transparency, participation, accountability, sustainability, order, benefit, and obedience, and finally, the RT Keren Program Implementer has understood the procedures and provisions for implementation. The program starts from planning to monitoring correctly
Internal Quality Assurers’ Conception on Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) process: Examining Lived Experience of Secondary School Academic Member of staff within Njombe Region, Tanzania
The study on the conception of the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) process was examined among secondary school academic members of staff within the Njombe Region in Tanzania. The aim of the study was to examine internal quality assurers’ conception of the IQA process. The study employed a qualitative research approach because internal quality assurance is a new educational reform that was introduced officially in schools by the government of Tanzania in 2021. Always new reform brought fear to teachers in terms of the conception of the new idea itself and the way it can be conducted. Therefore, to come up with the clear and deep understanding of the new obligation, a qualitative study was needed with a descriptive case study design to check participants’ lived experiences, beliefs, attitudes, behavior, perception and interaction which allowed inner feelings and opinions concerning the phenomenon in their real life situation. Nevertheless, the study was guided by two theories which are Constructivism and Humanism theory. Constructivism theory provided social interaction with respondents which helped to provide a conception of IQA in each school during data collection. Humanism theory provided a sense of unity among interviewer and interviewee by inviting human being spirit which increased the possibility of data collection. The study used 20 respondents including 10 internal quality assurers, 8 frontline teachers, and 2 District Education Officers. Purposive sampling was used to select internal quality assurers and District Education Officers while simple random sampling was used to select frontline teachers. Data were generated through interviews, observation, and documentary review. The study revealed that in all 5 secondary schools passed teachers did not attend seminars and they were running the new reform using their working experience. The study advised all educational stakeholders to check how to provide continuous awareness to teachers for effective implementation of IQA in schools
The Effect of Tax Minimization and Leverage on Transfer Pricing Decisions With GCG as Moderation
Profit is the main orientation for every business entity because profit is one of the company's performance indicators in order to maintain its sustainability, therefore various strategies are designed and implemented so that the company continues to exist and is able to compete along with increasingly competitive and massive developments. Transfer pricing is a strategy that is often implemented by companies in order to manage resources while achieving profit optimization and as a strategy is certainly influenced by several determinants including Tax minimization, leverage and Good Corporate Governance. This study intends to examine the effect of tax minimization and leverage through the interaction of Good Corporate Governance which is proxied by the number of audit committees with educational backgrounds and accounting experience. The population used are all entities in the industrial sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, using purposive sampling obtained from 17 selected companies with the observation period 2019 – 2021 so that a total sample data of 51 is obtained. Moderating Regression Analysis (MRA) is used as a technique to examine the relationship between variables. The test results show that partially Tax minimization, leverage, and Good Corporate Governance have a significant effect on transfer pricing. The test results also show that GCG is able to moderate both tax minimization and leverage on transfer pricing
Sanitation Program for Communities in Kepanjen, Malang Regency of Indonesia
The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the implementation of the stop open defecation program policy as well as describe and analyze the driving and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the stop defecation program policy in Panggungrejo Village, Kepanjen District, Malang Regency. This research approach is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured interviews, observation, and literature studies. The research location was conducted in the area of Panggungrejo Village, Kepanjen District, Malang Regency because, in Panggunrejo Village, Kepanjen District, there are still quite a lot of people who need help understanding proper sanitation. The results of the study found that in the implementation of the Stop Open Defecation policy in Panggungrejo Village, the communication was excellent, the communication patterns applied to the community were carried out correctly by the implementers, the implementation of the policy was carried out with an insufficient allocation of human resources, village regulations regarding sanitation were not yet available, and the problem of open defecation is not considered something important for most people. The driving factors in policy implementation are resource factors in the form of enthusiasm, sincerity, donations, assistance material, labor, time, and support from relevant stakeholders. At the same time, the inhibiting factors in implementing the policy are geographical conditions, social conditions, budgets, and program implementing resources, such as the limited number of human resources in Panggungrejo Village with different backgrounds
Study of Discipline Improvement of the Indonesian State Army Force through the Leadership Code of Ethics
This research aims to describe and analyze the Implementation of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) Officer Code of Ethics Policy Based on Law No. 34 of 2004 concerning the TNI to Improve the Discipline of TNI AD Soldiers in Rindam V/Brawijaya and describes and analyzes the factors that hinder and encourage the implementation of the officer leadership code of ethics policy to improve the discipline of TNI AD soldiers in Rindam V/Brawijaya. Researchers used qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The research results show that the implementation of the code of ethics for officer leadership is in the form of TNI officers who are virtuous, based on belief in the Almighty God, defend truth and justice, and have the qualities of simplicity. TNI officers are devoted to supporting national ideals, love the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia, uphold Indonesian culture and are always willing to defend the interests of the homeland and nation to achieve the Indonesian people's happiness. Factors that hinder and encourage policy implementation include internal factors, namely, leaders who influence officers' leadership. This includes the leader's background, which must be distinct from his experience in leading his organization. The applicable rules with flexibility and flexibility guide the style of leading the organization. The highest authority in the upper command and adapting to conditions and situations that occur to support discipline. Apart from that, experience in leading based on knowledge is a strength for a leader in disciplining his members. Meanwhile, external factors include the applicable system and rules wherein the application of the rules in an organization is understood to create a common perception in carrying them out, as well as organizational resources, which in their application are directed by the role of the officer's leadership code of ethics for the successful implementation of discipline in the organization
Duties of the Malang District General Election Supervisory agency in enforcing the 2019 Electoral Law
Indonesia adheres to a democratic government system, from the people by the people and back to the people. Democracy is inseparable from General Elections, where the people can freely support candidates who they think are capable of managing and carrying out the duties of the State. According to Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections, general election supervision is carried out by the General Election Supervisory Agency. Prevention by the Election Supervisory Agency so that violations do not occur is also expected to be a factor in holding a clean, honest and fair general election. This study aims to identify and describe the duties of the General Election Supervisory Agency of Malang Regency in Enforcing the Law of the 2019 local leaders election, as well as the driving and inhibiting factors concerning the theory of public policy implementation and the concept of the role of the Election Supervisory Agency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data from observations, interviews and documentation are analyzed through condensation, presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. The study results show that implementing regional elections in Malang Regency still leaves irregularities in finding general election violations, both those found directly by the election supervisory agency and reports from various elements of society. In reports and findings, there are general election violations from civil servants, village heads and the community generally in the form of money politics violations direct campaigns from village heads and civil servants. In this way, the local leaders election in Malang Regency in 2019 still leaves a little homework to maximize supervision further
