Public Service Policy Study In Increasing Community Satisfaction
Get PDFThe aim of this research is to find out and analyze the public's satisfaction with public services at the Probolinggo City Public Works and Spatial Planning Office. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, with research locations at the Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Residential Areas of Probolinggo City. The types of data used are primary and secondary. Primary data was carried out using interviews and observations and secondary data using literature and document studies. The data analysis technique uses the theory of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014:31-33), namely Data Condensation, Data Display and Conclusion Drawing/Verifications. Research resultshows that the public policies implemented by the Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas have met the expectations and needs of the people of Probolinggo City. This is proven by survey data on 17 types of public services, the average value of the community satisfaction index of the Department of Public Works, Spatial Planning , Probolinggo City Housing and Residential Areas are in the Good category. Judging from the level of positive response given by the community to the value of the Accumulated Community Satisfaction Index by measuring various indicators/aspects of services that have been adapted toRegulation of the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia. However, there are still several variables/indicators that need further improvement, namely Infrastructure and Service Procedures. This can be seen from the criticism and suggestions given by the community as service users. Therefore, department heads must be able to increase the effectiveness and supervision of all levels of employees in providing services to the community
Restructuring in the Equalization of Functional Positions in the Department of Education and Culture of Probolinggo Regency
Get PDFBureaucratic reform in government is a natural step to evaluate and improve the performance of government agencies. Two important aspects in bureaucratic reform are restructuring the organizational structure and changing the mindset of bureaucrats to prioritize public interests over personal interests. This reform includes simplifying the bureaucracy to two levels as well as transferring structural positions to functional positions based on certain expertise, skills and competencies, in accordance with the merit system. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze policy implementation as well as to describe and analyze the driving and inhibiting factors in the implementation policy of restructuring the equalization of functional positions at the Probolinggo Regency Education and Culture Service based on Probolinggo Regent Regulation Number 14 of 2022 concerning Position, Organizational Structure, Duties and Functions and Governance. Regional Apparatus Work. The research method applied is a qualitative descriptive method. The theory used in this research is the theory of policy implementation put forward by George C. Edwards III, which includes indicators of communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that equalization of positions at the Probolinggo Regency Education and Culture Service is carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, but there are several challenges in its implementation, such as adjusting duties and functions, as well as increasing the competency of affected ASNs. The implication of this research is the need for a more comprehensive strategy in the management and development of human resources in the government environment to ensure better bureaucratic effectiveness and efficiency. It is hoped that the government, especially the Probolinggo Regency Education and Culture Office, this research can contribute ideas and input into the implementation of the restructuring policy for equalizing functional positions
Analysis of the Influence of Local Original Income, General Allocation Fund and Special Allocation Fund on Economic Growth with Capital Expenditure as an Intervening Variable in Regional Governments throughout Manggarai Raya in 2013-2023
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to analyze and test the effect of Local Revenue, General Allocation Fund and Special Allocation Fund on Economic Growth with Capital Expenditure as an Intervening variable in local governments throughout Manggarai Raya. This study was conducted in Regencies/Cities throughout Manggarai Raya. The population and sample used in this study were reports on the realization of the Regional Budget throughout Manggarai Raya. Furthermore, this study used path analysis as a research method. From the analysis conducted, it can be concluded that the test results found that partially the variables of Local Revenue and Special Allocation Fund have a significant effect on capital expenditure. While for the General Allocation Fund it does not have a significant effect on capital expenditure, the test results found that partially the variables of Local Revenue, Special Allocation Fund and Capital Expenditure do not have a significant effect on economic growth. While for the General Allocation Fund it has a significant effect on economic growth, the results of the path coefficient test show that only the Special Allocation Fund variable has a significant effect on economic growth through capital expenditure. While Local Revenue and General Allocation Fund do not have a significant effect on economic growth through capital expenditure
Exploring Risk - Taking Behaviour: A Comparative Analysis of Working Professionals and Artists
Get PDFThis study explores and compares risk-taking behaviour between working professionals and artists. The research aims to understand the differences in how these two groups approach risk.The study includes a sample of 60 participants, consisting of 33 working professionals and 27 artists, all aged between 25 and 40 years and residing in Gujarat. Purposive sampling technique was employed to ensure diversity in job profiles. Data was collected using the Risk Taking Scale by Subhash Sarkar (R.T.S -2017). The data collection process involved obtaining oral permissions, establishing rapport with participants, and administering the assessment tool. Statistical analysis, including a Student’s t-test, was conducted to analyse the data.The findings indicate that artists have higher risk-taking behaviour in general. Artists typically take higher risks when it comes to risks associated with academics, finances, professions, adventure, and health. There is no significant difference in risk-taking behaviour between working professionals and artists in games and sports. The study sheds light on how vocational variations may impact people' risk-taking behaviour.

Metacognitive Thinking and Academic Achievement of Higher Secondary Students
Get PDFMetacognitive thinking is increasingly recognized as a key factor influencing academic achievement. Here Researcher worked with two variables Metacognitive Thinking and Academic Achievement. The study aimed to explore overall metacognitive thinking with respect to gender, locality, and type of school. Additionally, the researcher sought to identify the correlation between metacognitive thinking and academic achievement among higher secondary students. A random sample of 200 Higher Secondary students were taken from Saraswati Trust School and Bedibhawan Rabitirtha Vidyalaya in Nadia West Bengal was selected for this research. To collect data, the researcher developed one questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. These research tools were standardized with the help of experts to ensure their validity. Various statistical techniques, including Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation, were employed for data analysis. Each technique served a specific purpose in analyzing and interpreting the data. The study revealed a significant difference in metacognitive thinking about gender, locality, and type of school. Additionally, the researcher found a positive but low correlation between metacognitive thinking and academic achievement
The Effect of Blue Economy Factors on Economic Growth in Asia

This research uses a combination of data cross section 30 Asian countries and data time series 2009 to 2019. The selected models are Feasible Generalized Least Square (FGLS). The research results show that the growth of capture fisheries, aquaculture, ports, investment and the workforce has a significant effect on economic growth. Aquaculture, ports, investment and the workforce have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. Meanwhile, the capture fisheries growth variable has a negative and significant effect on economic growth
Investigating School Principals' Strategies in Fostering Students' Creativity Skills: A Case Study through the Lens of Componential Theory of Creativity
Get PDFThis qualitative research examined how school principals foster student creativity through the lens of the Componential Theory of Creativity focusing on the three main components that consist of domain-relevant skills, creativity-relevant processes, and task motivation as perceived by selected public school teachers. Through an in-depth interview with these teachers from the Department of Education, Division of Davao City, who were selected through a purposive sampling technique, several themes emerged on how school principals foster student creativity for every component of the theory. The findings of the study highlight the importance of three key components of creativity. Domain-relevant skills were cultivated by building expertise within the school community, promoting knowledge of various creative forms and media, supporting real-world applications in curricula, offering professional development opportunities for teachers, and ensuring that resources are readily available for both educators and students. To enhance creativity-relevant processes, the school principals encouraged diverse approaches to learning, promoted talent showcases and project-based learning, and facilitated collaborative art projects and performances. Finally, task motivation was strengthened by recognizing and celebrating student creativity and effort, tailoring activities to meet individual student needs, and providing support for teachers in fostering student motivation. We recommend that school leaders adopt strategic and distributed leadership styles, create initiatives that nurture creativity in curriculum implementation, boost motivation among teachers and students, and consider the components of the componential theory of creativity to foster a collaborative and supportive school culture, while future researchers should explore comparative studies across different educational settings

This study explores the revered intersection of performance spaces and audience turnout, focusing on Lagos State's vibrant cultural landscape. Despite numerous factors influencing audience attendance, scant scholarly attention has addressed the profound impact of the performance venue itself. This research remedies this gap by applying Alfred Weber's Location Theory and Jerome McCarthy's Four Ps (Product, Place, Promotion, and Price) to unravel the complex variables dictating venue selection. The National Arts Theatre, the MUSON Centre, and Terra Culture serve as distinct performance spaces for our investigation. Through rigorous literature review and astute venue observations, this research unveils nuanced determinants shaping venue selection. It posits that a venue's geographical location and architectural aesthetics are intrinsic determinants in realizing a production's objectives. Findings illuminate a compelling narrative: the performance venue is not a mere backdrop but a protagonist in the drama of audience patronage. Every spatial configuration becomes choreography, orchestrating the audience's journey toward pleasure and satisfaction. The judicious allocation of time, diligence, and resources in this research reflects a commitment to unravelling the intricate tapestry of spatial dynamics, ensuring each theatrical presentation is a magnum opus of artistic resonance and audience delight. This study is a clarion call for a paradigm shift in the discourse on theatrical success, heralding an era where the venue itself emerges as a pivotal player in the grand symphony of performance art
