Nuclear Weapons Proliferation: Role of Pakistan
The most disturbing aspect of nuclear non-proliferation regime is how poorly it accomplishes its arms control and disarmament objectives. The recorded incidents of illicit nuclear trafficking marked the weaknesses of International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards system and nuclear nonproliferation treaty (NPT). The clandestine nuclear weapons related activities of Iran, Libya and North Korea also prove their lack of commitment with their obligations to NPT. The sixth review conference of the NPT was held on May 2-27, 2005 in New York. Yet, the nuclearweapon states haven’t taken any step to carry out their own commitments under the Article VI of NPT to make good faith efforts toward nuclear disarmament. On April 14, 2005, positively, the United Nations General Assembly passed by consensus an accord—the Convention on the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism. It would oblige member states to prosecute those who illegally possess atomic devices or radioactive materials.
Political Godfathers and Electoral Culture in Nigeria
This paper investigates the change from a progressive and benevolent electoral culture exhibited by the early godfathers to self-enrichment as exhibited by the contemporary godfathers in Nigeria. It examines the factors that make such culture possible and the strategies that can curb such act. Making use of primary and secondary sources of data, the study reveals that economic reasons, greed, impact of military rule, civilization and complexity of society are the factorsresponsible for the change from community interest to the culture of self enrichment through surrogates by the godfathers. It recommends thatgovernment should make the elective positions unattractive, lower the finances associated with electoral politics and give less consideration to the political godfathers in Nigerian politics

The case study method is appliedfor the present study and the selected era is from 2001 to 2019. Being a review study descriptive, exploratory and historical approaches are applied to discover the answers of the research questions. This research would offer a guiding structure for studying third-party mediation in the management of the crisis. Consequently, an analysis of this research will support to discover several potential finding of the American involvement in crisis management to keep strategic stability and peace in the South Asian region. But, there is no assurance that the findings and conclusions of this crisis management case study are applied to other contexts or crises

Governance, as defined by UNDP, is the exercise of political, economic and administrative authority in the management of a country’s affairs. The term governance implies issues of government effectiveness, accountability, transparency, and adherence to the rule of law. Good governance involves the constructive interaction of state, market and civil society. it is also characterized by several important values: effectiveness and efficiency, accountability, the ruleof law, participation, consensus orientation, responsiveness, equity, and strategic vision. It is dependent on the wet! functioning of public institutions This brings us to the second question. How do public yinstitutions function well? Setting the right priorities, formulation of appropriate policies and their effective and efficient implementation is a basic requirement of a wet! functioning public institution. Achieving objectives of good governance requires a iong~term political commitment to make the system work. Accountability of the government for its actions is dependent upon the availability of information, transparency of decision—making and the presence of effective mechanisms to call individuals and institutions to account. Competence of the government is the capacity to formulate appropriate policies, make sound and timeiy decisions, and perhaps most importantiy implement them effectively. Public officials must be held responsible for their actions. This involveseffective auditing, decentraiization, accountability to consumers and a role for non— governmental organizations (NGOs)
