ROLE OF GHRMPS AND RELIGIOSITY IN DETERMINING THE EQUILIBRIUM BETWEEN ENVIRONMENTAL-SUSTAINABILITY AND SUBJECTIVE WELLBEING THROUGH PRO-ENVIRONMENTAL BEHAVIORS: A CROSS-DOMAIN MODEL FOR PAKISTANI CORPORATE SECTOR
Guided by the AMO theory, VBN theory, and warm-glow-giving theory, the theoretical glue that joint the proposed model together this study investigates how employing Green HRM practices and Eco-Islamic Phenomenon (i.e. religiosity) corporate sector can achieve an equilibrium between Environmental-sustainability (ES) and Subjective Wellbeing (SWB), through the centrality of pro-environmental behaviors (PEBs). An in-depth review of strategically selected qualitative/empirical/conceptual articles from the Scopus and Web of Science databases on the multi-disciplined subjects (i.e., GHRMPs, Religiosity, PEBs, ES, and SWB) published from 1978 to 2022 has been executed. A review of the literature derived 12 hypotheses combining cross-domain consolidated model for the corporate-sector of Pakistan, comprehending ‘how’ equilibrium between SWB and ES could be actualized. Distinctive from previous studies, the proposed model brings a new horizon to explore the untried associations of cross domains PEBs (i.e., workplace, public & private sphere) with GHRMPs, Religiosity, ES, and SWB to provide a comprehensive understanding of the underlying behavioral process bridging GHRMPs and Religiosity with ES and LS, respectively. This study offers contextual support to the literature where studies connecting sustainability and subjective well-being (SWB) are lacking especially in developing countries context. The Role of Critical Thinking in Mediating the Association between Instructional Practices and Academic Achievement
Critical thinking is recognized as a blend of basic life skills and dispositions which are closely related to other academic and professional attributes like collaboration, metacognition, motivation, creativity, and academic achievement. Previous research revealed that particular instructional practices have been more effective in development of critical thinking skills among students. A survey of 173 undergraduate university students was conducted to find out the relationships between interactive instructional practices employed by teachers to promote critical thinking among students and improve their academic achievement. This study also explored mediation effect of critical thinking skills and critical thinking dispositions in the relationship between instructional practices of university faculty and academic achievement of higher education students. Results showed a positive and significant correlation among the study variables. Findings also discovered that critical thinking skills were partially mediating the relationship between interactive instructional practice and academic achievement while mediating effect of critical thinking dispositions was found non-significant.

Occurrence of two strains of Colletotrichum siamense on Jatropha curcas leaves
Jatropha curcas (L.) commonly called purging nut or physic nut is a multi-purpose drought resistant shrub or small tree belonging to the family Euphorbiaceae. The plant is gaining a huge attention lately because of the great economic importance associated with it. Jatropha curcas is susceptible to attack by microorganisms and the correct identification of these microbes is necessary for the development of sustainable disease prevention/control measures. This study was aimed at isolating and characterizing fungi associated with the leaves of J. curcas collected from Aluu in Rivers State, Nigeria. Fungi were isolated using microbiological conventional culturing method and identified using molecular method. Genomic DNA was extracted from fungal isolates using Zymo Fungal/Bacterial DNA Miniprep Kit. Polymerase chain reaction amplification was carried out using the primer pair: ITS4 and ITS5. BLAST search was carried out on National Centre for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database and the species identity of the two fungal organisms associated with Jatropha curcas revealed that the organisms are two different strains of Colletotrichum siamense. Phylogenetic tree revealed the relationship among the two strains, other strains/isolates of Colletotrichum siamense and other species of Colletotrichum on GenBank. The sequences of the isolates have been deposited in GenBank under the accession numbers: OQ941591 for Colletotrichum siamensestrain RCBBR_AEANK17 and OQ941592 for Colletotrichum siamensestrain RCBBR_AEANK18. The basic molecular techniques used in this study were able to classify the isolates to the species and strain levels

Teachers’ collective agency enactment in implementing the Getting-to-know-English for Grades 1 and 2
Teacher agency has received attention from researchers around the world, particularly in Vietnam recently. A small number of studies have been conducted in Vietnamese settings to examine teachers’ individual agency enactment with a focus on the language policy under the National Foreign Language Project 2020. However, little research has been carried out to look into teachers’ collective agency putting an emphasis on the Getting-to-know-English for Grades 1 and 2. In order to fill in the gap in the literature, this study grounded on the ecological approach proposed by Priestley et al. (2015) examined teachers’ collective agency enactment in implementing the Getting-to-know-English for Grades 1 and 2. Data were gained through documents, interviews, and observations. The findings highlighted that the participant teachers collaborated together in the experience exchanging meetings, the professional development program, and at the foreign language center. Teacher collaboration with their colleagues at the intra- and inter-school level was driven by their relationships with their colleagues, their previous knowledge and prior professional experience, and the foreign language center’s culture. The study gives implications for policy makers, school administrators, and teachers in the process of operating the Getting-to-know-English for Grades 1 and 2.
Measuring University Students’ Perception of Self-Assessment and its Effect on their Critical Thinking Learning Style
The importance of self-assessment and critical thinking in students’ learning process is well established, however, few studies have evaluated the perceptions of university students regarding the effects of self-assessment on their critical thinking learning styles. This study aimed to measure the perceptions of university students about the effects of self-assessment on their critical thinking learning style. By using a quantitative descriptive research design, data were collected from 243 students enrolled in BS education program at university of Malakand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The data from the sampled group was measured through self-developed questionnaire comprising 24 items covering different aspect of critical thinking learning style and self-assessment. The questionnaire was pilot tested and after the estimation of reliability and validity the data were collected from the sampled group. Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques such as Mean scores, standard deviations and Chi-square test were used for the analysis of data. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS version 20. The major findings of the study suggested that critical thinking helps students improve learning and cultivates among them the ability of making choices and guides them to understand problems. It was confirmed that self-assessment improves the understanding of students to identify and solve their learning problems. The students strongly agreed that self-assessment promoted their understanding of course content. It is suggested that future research may use the results of the study as a basis for improving the critical learning outcomes of students and incorporate self-assessment as a technique in the teaching process.
Evaluating Challenges to Strategic Stability in South Asia
Strategic Stability is defined as Safety, Security and survivability of nuclear weapons. Strategic stability is largely each and every stability that prevents the war between the two nuclear weapons adversaries. The stability of South Asia is directly proportional to the balanced strategic equation between India and Pakistan. The graph of nuclear learning depicts negative trends and shows that after twenty years of overt nuclearization; both the states are in the process of nurturing their relations. Pakistan is considered as a weak state in international hierarchical system however; its nuclear status has bolstered its grade in the world. Pakistan does not see itself chasing Prestige Model, however, it is acquainted with its underdog status in international community, thus uses nuclear weapon as a tool of Deterrence to ensure its survival. The nuclearweapons are considered as an instrument to avert India from waging humiliating war against Pakistan. The Indian foreign policy tenets stand to maintain a status quo with Pakistan keeping in consideration the political turmoil, indeed this is seen through the prism of Deterrence in Indo-Pak relations. The significant attribute of Deterrence in Indo-Pak relations is that both are hesitant to characterize red lines. The paper explores the concept of Strategic Stability itself and how it has evolved from Cold War to South Asia, moreover the intangible factors that could be involved in destabilizing South Asian Strategic Stability
