From “Beneficiaries” to “Political Subjects”: Identifying the Role of Ethnic Minorities in Grassroots Democratic Practices in the Northwest Region of Vietnam
Ensuring and promoting the people’s right to mastery, including that of ethnic minority communities, is a fundamental principle in the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam. Within this context, the present article analyzes the transformation of the role of ethnic minorities in the Northwest region—from being passive recipients of public policy to becoming active political subjects in grassroots democratic practices. Drawing on the political theories of Marxism–Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s thought, and key documents of the Communist Party of Vietnam, this paper clarifies the conceptual foundations, internal content, and necessary conditions under which ethnic minorities can effectively act as political agents—capable of participating in decision-making, policy implementation, and the oversight of public power within their communities.
Based on field research in selected provinces of the Northwest, the article identifies positive manifestations of this role transformation while also highlighting institutional, cognitive, and capacity-based barriers. From these findings, it proposes specific policy recommendations to institutionalize the political subjectivity of ethnic minorities in grassroots democracy, thereby enhancing the legitimacy and effectiveness of state power in ethnically diverse and marginalized regions—aligned with contemporary demands for sustainable and equitable political development
Adi Shankaracharya: The Architect of Universal Consciousness and His Message for Contemporary Civilization
This scholarly exploration examines Adi Shankaracharya\u27s profound philosophical message to humanity, analyzing its transformative potential for addressing modern existential crises. Through a multidisciplinary lens integrating quantum physics, cognitive science, consciousness studies, and systems theory, this paper demonstrates how Shankaracharya\u27s Advaita Vedanta philosophy transcends religious boundaries to offer universal principles for human flourishing. By examining his core teachings on non-duality, maya, and self-realization, alongside contemporary theoretical frameworks, this research reveals how these 8th-century insights align remarkably with cutting-edge scientific understanding and provide frameworks for resolving global challenges. The study contributes to both philosophical scholarship and practical applications in psychology, quantum mechanics, unified field theories, education, healthcare, and organizational leadership, offering a comprehensive blueprint for individual and collective transformation in the 21st century

This mini review discusses the validity of technology-driven pronunciation assessment systems, focusing on their alignment with intelligibility as the central criterion of communicative competence. The review highlights the need for theoretical recalibration to ensure valid and inclusive assessment practices in high- and low-stakes contexts by interrogating scoring mechanisms, native-norm dependencies, and human-machine correlations
Indian Knowledge Systems in the Cinematic Frame: Past, Present, and Future
From philosophy to medicine, environmental ethics to spiritual traditions, Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) cover a great and varied corpus of indigenous knowledge that has enriched India\u27s intellectual and cultural legacy for millennia. This research paper examines the depiction of IKS in Indian cinema on three time-based dimensions: past, present, and future. The research looks into how early movies represented mythological and historical epics based on IKS, how current film fuses age-old knowledge with contemporary issues, and how cinema trends in the future might expand the inclusion of IKS even more into scripts that respond to global issues. Based on qualitative content analysis of some chosen movies, this essay brings to focus the changing aspect of cinema as an influential source for maintaining, re-interpreting, and disseminating Indian Knowledge Systems. The paper wraps up by tackling the ethical concerns and issues linked to the commodification and misrepresentation of IKS in popular culture
The Use of Transitional Devices in the Writing of ESL Learners: A Case of Bolgatanga Girls’ SHS Students’ Essays
This paper investigated the use of transitional devices by students of Bolgatanga Girls Senior High School. The objective set for the research was to identify the kind of transitional devices that appear in the writing of senior high school students. To achieve this objective, the researcher employed a case study approach. The researcher used interviews and observation of students’ scripts for the collection of the data for the research. Essays of students were sampled for the extraction of the transitional devices used by the students. The data that was obtained was analysed based on the themes that emerged from the research question. The findings of the study showed that Bolgatanga Girls’ Senior High School students used transitional devices of different categories in their writing tasks. The findings of the study revealed that the students contextually and semantically used connective devices appropriately, which make their essays to achieve coherence and cohesion. It was shown by the study that even though the students used the connective devices appropriately, they overused some of the transitional devices, while they avoided some. The study also showed that compound connective devices were sometimes misspelled by the students by writing them as separate words. The findings indicated that teachers of English language placed too much emphasis on the external examination; they also employed teacher-centred methods in teaching; they do not adopt process approach to teaching transitional devices to the students and the students also failed to undertake reading task on their own. The study recommended that teachers of English should teach transitional devices as a distinct topic and adopt a learner-centred approach to teaching transitional devices to their students
Analyzing the Impact of Money Supply and Economic Growth on Inflation in SAARC Countries (2000-2020)
Inflation is one of the variables that not only concerns economists but also garners attention from policymakers due to its social impacts and consequences. Policymakers and economists closely monitor and analyze its fluctuations. Identifying the causes of inflation is a critical step in combating it; without correctly identifying the underlying causes, efforts to address inflation may be misguided. Furthermore, effective inflation control and managing persistent price increases require a comprehensive understanding of its effects and consequences.
This study examines the impact of money supply and economic growth on the general price level in SAARC countries during the period 2000–2020 using panel data methodology. The research seeks to answer the question: What has been the effect of money supply and economic growth on the general price level in SAARC countries from 2000 to 2020? To address this question, the hypothesis tested posits that money supply and economic growth have a positive and significant effect on price levels.
The findings of the research confirm this hypothesis, indicating that an increase in money supply leads to a rise in the general price level and inflation. Moreover, the velocity of money has a negative and significant effect on inflation, while economic growth does not have a significant impact on the general price level

Comparative Analysis of Word-Formation Processes in Uzbek and English Languages
This paper analyzes and compares the methods of neologism formation in Uzbek and English. Both languages enrich their vocabularies by means of affixation, compounding, reduplication, conversion, borrowing, back-formation, acronyms and abbreviations, semantic change and coinage. Nonetheless, the grammatical structure and the typological characteristics of each language dictate how these processes are applied. Whereas the suffixation of new words in Uzbek is predominant due to its agglutinative nature, reduplication and compounding are also important in enhancing its cultural and descriptive richness. Borrowed words tend to be modified in terms of grammar and phonetics to fit the structure of the language. English, on the other hand, is more analytical and flexible. It responds to sociocultural and technological changes by means of conversion, back-formation, and coinage in swift succession. Borrowed words are usually incorporated into English without significant changes. Both languages demonstrate the ability to evolve by means of semantic narrowing and extension. This comparison illustrates the effect of grammar, history, and culture on the processes of word formation by blending universal processes of word formation with peculiarities of a particular language
Study on Consumer Buying Behaviour for Ayurveda Vs Allopathy
This study aims to understand how consumers decide between Ayurveda and Allopathy when choosing medical treatment. The research focuses on what influences people more – natural and traditional healing methods like Ayurveda, or fast scientific healing treatments like Allopathy. The study tries to find out the key factors such as trust, price, brand awareness, and recommendations from family or doctors that shape consumer preferences. Through a survey, I tried to analyze how people think, what they prefer for different types of health problems, and how often they switch between the two systems of medicine. The results help us understand changing consumer trends and what drives their decisions in the healthcare market. The research will be useful for healthcare companies, marketers and others to design better products and services according to consumer expectations
Cultural Hybridity: Negotiating Origin of Khuliya - Bhaoriya Folk Theatre
This paper investigates the emergence of Khuliya-bhaoriya folk theatre from Assam, which is extant in some pockets of Darrang district, within the rich landscape of Indian drama. The scholars on Indian dramaturgy have offered four main theories on the origin of folk theatres in India, which, however, overlook the role of cultural hybridization in creation of folk theatre. Such hybridisation is also brought out to serve distinct socio-religious objectives. Addressing that gap, this study reveals that Khuliya-bhaoriya came to existence as a product of cultural hybridisation, which helped in propagation of bhakti-faith among the masses, defying ‘hegemony’ which the concept of ‘hybridity’ entails
