Martwe krajobrazy Roya Anderssona
This article focuses on Roy Andersson’s signature landscapes using theatrical (theatre of the absurd) and painting (the trompe d’oleil effect, the aesthetics of tableaux vivants) motifs. The author presents the complex web of roles that landscape fulfils in the Swedish director’s cinematography: the emotional landscape of the characters, the narrative frame of the film stories, and the position of the non-living actor. The author thus proves that for the Swedish director, landscape is not just a passive background for screen events, but an active co-creator and catalyst of meaning

Prywatność w myśli muzułmańskiej. Konteksty filozoficzno-religijne
There are two dimensions of the concept of privacy, the first of which is to limit people’s sexual orientation and, in this direction, to be in a cautious relationship with both their own body and other people’s bodies, and the second is shaped around the meaning of “confidentiality” and today we come across the conceptualizations of privacy of personal or private life. The originality of the concept of privacy in Islamic thought, in which both dimensions are particularly emphasized, is related to the semantic implications that religious thought in general and Islamic thought in particular have brought to the concept of privacy. Because, just like the concepts of modesty and chastity, the concept of privacy, with both theoretical and practical implications, is related to meeting the true meaning of being human. Because, in terms of Islamic thought, privacy is related to man’s management and administration of everything that is entrusted to him as a trust, including his body, with the awareness of being in the presence of the Owner of knowledge, property and order, in line with his lofty purposes

Food deconsumption as part of a sustainable lifestyle: A study of Polish deconsumers
Deconsumption, defined as a wide spectrum of voluntary activities aimed at reducing consumption levels, is a multidimensional and multidisciplinary phenomenon, which concerns the reduction of goods and resources purchased, consumed, and used by consumers. The phenomenon could be manifested in a partial resignation from the purchase of products or possession of goods, reducing the consumption of resources or changing the current way of meeting needs. Deconsumption has numerous links with the concept of sustainable development, a trend that has gained importance in recent years as a response to excessive and unsustainable consumption and production. The purpose of this article is to examine and characterize the importance and interactions between food deconsumption — its forms (such as limiting consumption levels, eliminating food categories, etc.) and subjects (different food categories) — and the sustainable lifestyles of consumers. Empirical research was conducted in order to recognize consumer opinions and behaviors in the context of selected manifestations of deconsumption. The quantitative study was conducted in November 2021 on a sample of N = 516 Polish respondents using the CAWI technique and the authors’ own questionnaire. The respondents were asked about, among other things, the reduction of food consumption. The main hypothesis of the study was that deconsumption practices among Polish respondents are manifestations of their aspirations to live a sustainable lifestyle — for this purpose, a statistical hypothesis of no correlation between belonging to one of the groups of respondents (incidental, fragmentary, or lifestyle deconsumers) and food deconsumption practices was formulated and tested in a quantitative study. One in two respondents declared a reduction of food consumption in the twelve months preceding the survey. Health concerns were the second most common reason for food deconsumption, preceded by rising food prices, which highlighted the importance of motives of an economic and health nature over the others covered in the survey, and could therefore be attributed to sustainable practices relating to consumers’ lifestyles. The respondents gave up or limited the consumption of salty snacks, sweets, and ready meals to the highest degree. A relatively high percentage of respondents declared limiting the consumption of meat and cold cuts as well. The reduction of fish and seafood and dairy products consumption was observed to a slightly lesser extent. The results of the study revealed a relatively high consumer awareness of healthy eating, as well as care for health and a slim figure. This observation coincides with current consumer trends (care for health, conscious consumer, well-being, “health again”). Deconsumption in the researched study sample took also the form of dietary trends such as flexitarianism, vegetarianism, and veganism, which are gaining popularity nowadays

Wojna trzydziestoletnia – powstanie książąt i stanów śląskich przeciwko władzy królewskiej w 1618 roku: prawo do czynnego oporu czy bunt?
The aim of the article was an attempt to answer the question whether the uprising of the Silesian dukes and estates against the Habsburg kings in 1618–1621 had a rebellious character or whether it was an action taken under the right to active resistance guaranteed to them by the Bohemian kings. The subject of consideration were also the motives of armed actions of the Silesian dukes and estates during the Thirty Years’ War, both that at the beginning of the war and the second one from 1633–1635. Options were considered between the perception of conflict as a religious war (denominational motives) and the perception of it as a war conducted in the name of political reasons
Wojna siedmioletnia we wspomnieniach proboszcza z Krzewiny Martina Baltzera (zm. 1785)
The subject matter of this miscellaneum are accounts of the Seven Years’ War written by Martin Baltzer, a Catholic parish priest from Krzewina on the Lusatian Neisse (d. 1785). They are contained in a diary he wrote down, known only from an autograph stored in the Library of the Oberlausitzische Gesellschaft der Wissenschaften in Görlitz. The first part of this work presents Martin Baltzer’s biography and his work, in which he recounted the history of the years 1756–1782. Krzewina and its immediate surroundings remain in the centre of his accounts. From this perspective he also presented the course of the Seven Years’ War, to which he dedicated about 200 pages of his diary. He described in detail the consequences of the war for the inhabitants of Krzewina and Upper Lusatia. Warfare in this region was presented against the background of events in neighbouring countries, particularly in Silesia and Saxony
