A small garage on the sidelines of a corporation: Should innovative projects be isolated?
The article aims to attempt to answer the question of whether innovative projects should be isolated in an organisation. A critical analysis of the literature on the subject reveals a divergence of views on the proper placement of social or technological innovation projects. The research hypothesis formulated holds that the more conducive the innovative project team is to interact with the rest of the organisation and the norms and values within the team are oriented toward learning, the stronger the learning of the project team. The culture metaphor of an organisation was used to verify the research hypothesis. It has been assumed that project team learning means that project team members transform the norms and values previously adhered to in the organisational culture. On the basis of the survey results, it was impossible to accept the research hypothesis. Despite the increase in the intensity of the factors that foster interactions between teams implementing innovative projects and the rest of the organisation, team learning did not increase as originally expected. The article aims to attempt to answer the question of whether innovative projects should be isolated in an organisation. Quality 5.0: Towards sustainable quality improvement in organizations
The concept of Quality 5.0 in management sciences has emerged relatively recently. It is an attempt to respond to the limitations attributed to Quality 4.0, which focuses on industry and the use of advanced technologies mainly in production processes. Quality 5.0 goes beyond this framework and introduces an equally strong human and social factor. The article defines the concept of Quality 5.0 in relation to quality improvement in organizations and presents the author’s conceptual model of Quality 5.0 as a sustainable concept for quality improvement. The proposed model consists of 12 attributes of Quality 5.0, divided into four categories: (1) Balanced Techno-Human Centric Management System: agile and aware leadership, real-time data decision making, continuous improvement; (2) Human: empowerment, creativity, diversity; (3) Process: integration, efficiency, flexibility; (4) Technology: analytics, connectivity, and scalability. In the Quality 5.0 model, the organization supports the Triple Bottom Line of Sustainable Development through value co-creation, problem-solving, cooperation, and innovation. The concept of Quality 5.0 in management sciences has emerged relatively recently. Sustainable business models in SMEs: The customer’s perspective
The main purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between sustainability goals and measures of the degree of sustainable policy implementation, as well as the customer perspective as determined by the business model (BM) template of A. Osterwalder and Y. Pigneur. In the conducted research, the customer perspective takes into account five elements of the BM and each element was examined by several characteristics. The elements of the BM from the customer perspective are: customer segment, value proposition, distribution channels, customer relationships, and revenue. The study used the authors’ survey questionnaire, in which respondents, who were enterprises in the SME sector, answered questions about their own BM divided into three layers – business, social, and environmental. The results were statistically analysed using SPSS STATISTIC 28 software and a logit model was developed to verify the significance of the relationship between the binary variables studied. 303 enterprises participated in the survey, 59% of which were enterprises guided by sustainability goals (SGs) in their BMs. However, only 27% of those surveyed had measures of the degree of sustainable policy implementation.
The conducted research confirmed that acting in accordance with SGs is strongly related to customer-oriented elements of the business model, such as (1) customer segregation by sex or by level of environmental awareness, (2) value proposition – an environmental orientation, (3) distri- bution channels – direct sales online, (4) customer relationships through dedicated personal assistance or automated service based on personal customer profiles, (5) revenue – sales of products and services. Slightly different results were obtained for using measures of the degree of the SD policy implementation, where the highest correlation occurred for: (1) main customers – manufacturing entrepreneurs, (2) customer segregation by end-user experience or by level of involvement in socially important issues, (3) value proposition – strengthening democracy, (4) distribution channels – wholesale stores are run by partners, (5) customer relationships through self-service or automated service based on personal customer profiles or involving customers in the product development process, (6) revenue – rental/lease/leasing or licenses. The main purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between sustainability goals and measures of the degree of sustainable policy implementation, as well as the customer perspective as determined by the business model (BM) template of A. „Ustawy prawa polskiego najpotrzebniejsze, krótko z łacińskiego wybrane, na polski język przełożone” (1559) Jana Palczowskiego jako przykład popularnej kodyfikacji prywatnej w dawnej Polsce
A paper presents a private legal compendium by Jan Palczowski — the land judge for nobility from Zator, entitled Polish laws most needed, from Latin, shortly gathered, into Polish translated, published for the first time in 1559, reprinted a few times later on. Palczowski prepared his work because of the incorporation of the Duchy of Oświęcim and Zator into the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth; however, it gained vast popularity in the whole country. Compared to other similar compendiums, Palczowski’s Collection was quite extensive. Selected provisions reflected problems typical for the average nobleman — a wealthy proprietor of the land. The way Palczowski’s compendium was edited suited the readers’ expectations. It did not contain any new elements (generally considered damaging at the time) and was focused on commonly accepted and known privileges and statutes. It seems like the judge from Zator was perfectly aware of the Polish nobility’s attitudes, opinions, and expectations. Thanks to that, his work was adequate for the taste of many recipients
Niezrozumiały eksperyment czy społeczna interwencja? Konceptualizowanie literackiej awangardy na łamach lwowskich „Sygnałów”
The article presents an analysis of comments on poetic avant-garde that had appeard in Sygnały (Signals Magazine), published 1933–1939 in Lwów. The end of the 1930s was the moment of evaluation of the avant-garde tradition, and the voices resounding in the pages of Sygnały emphasized the need to relate avant-garde programs and poetic productions to the vision of socially-engaged literature. The aim of the article is to both – show and comment on the idioms of writing about the avant-garde. The paper reveals the meanings assigned to the concept of ‘avant-garde’ and the strategy of combining/separating formal poetry (with which the avant-garde was identified) with engaged poetry. The article takes a polemical approach to post-war opinions about Sygnały as an environment that clearly distanced itself from avant-garde formalism and experiment, which denied any connection with social consciousness. The statements from the Lviv’s magazine are presented in the article against the background of revaluations formulated in the then Soviet criticism, which allows us to illuminate ways of introducing issues of socialist realism into the critical discourse as a tendency opposed to avant-garde formalism, but in Sygnały shown in a connection with revisions (not: negations) of avant-garde poetics that is not obvious today.
Artykuł przedstawia analizę wypowiedzi na temat awangardy poetyckiej publikowanych na łamach lwowskiego miesięcznika Sygnały (1933–1939). Koniec lat trzydziestych XX wieku był czasem formułowania bilansów awangardowej tradycji, a wybrzmiewające na łamach Sygnałów głosy akcentowały potrzebę odniesienia awangardowych programów i realizacji poetyckich do wizji literatury reagującej społecznie. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie i skomentowanie sposobów pisania o awangardzie; odsłonięcie znaczeń jej przypisanych i strategii łączenia/rozdzielania formalnej poezji (z którą utożsamiano awangardę) z poezją zaangażowaną.
This paper presents a Polish translation of the votive epigrams by Leonidas of Tarentum from Book VI of Anthologia Palatina. Leonidas, a Hellenistic poet typically assigned to the first half of the third century BC, who has approximately 100 epigrams attributed to him. While adhering to the conventional structure of votive epigram and epitaph, his poetry stands out for its innovation. The epigrammatist employs a language that is both lavish and ornamental, utilizing numerous poetic devices to vividly depict ordinary people and artisans. However, his poems extend beyond these subjects, with Leonidas also lauding renowned poets, crafting ecphrases of artworks, and composing reflective epigrams on philosophical themes. This paper presents a Polish translation of the votive epigrams by Leonidas of Tarentum from Book VI of Anthologia Palatina. How Czech students perceive action and time in their mother tongue: A case study
Based on 207 questionnaires that investigated how undergraduate students of Czech Philology perceive action and time, it was found that their understanding of these terms varies. Students’ interpretation was influenced not only by the knowledge they had and the language rules they applied, but also by their intuition and natural language perception, which inherently complement the process. We concluded that more attention should be paid to deverbal adjectives because their recognition proved to be particularly challenging
Verbes de perception sensorielle comme introducteurs des paroles représentées
The subject of this study are the sequences of reported speech with verbs of sensory perception. Our objective is to characterize these forms to place them in the reported speech system. Our analysis is inspired by the descriptions contained in the recent work by Jacqueline Authier-Revuz (2020) which offers a differential approach to the forms of the reported speech. We would like to show in particular that the direct speech containing the verbs of sensory perception is distinguished by important enunciative and syntactic particularities. This is why we can ask ourselves whether it is a clear and simple form of the reported speech or, linked to the appearance of the verbs of sensory perception, it falls within the scope of the reported speech as a ‘variant’ of the DD in addition
