Edible Bell Under Shade: The Phenological Characterization of Bell Pepper (Capsicum annum) Under Different Photoperiod
The study was conducted to evaluate the growth, inflorescence development, and yield response of the bell pepper to the different photoperiods (shading). The study was conducted from March 21 to May 15, 2021 at the DEBESMSCAT-Crop Science experimental area, Cabitan, Mandaon, and Masbate. The study used 15 experimental plots, and each plot contained 20 plants of bell pepper. The study used a total of 300 plants in 15 plots. The plant spacing was 40 cm between hills and 60 cm between rows. The study used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used were different photoperiods (shading). Treatment A used shading starting from 6:00 A.M. – 9:00 A.M., Treatment B used shading from 9:00 A.M – 12:00 P.M., Treatment C used shading from 12:00 P.M – 3:00 P.M., Treatment D used shading from 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M., and Treatment E (control) used no shading. The study used 10 experimental plants, randomly selected for each plot in every treatment. The data gathering started 7 days after transplanting and was conducted every 5 days. The results of the study revealed that the different photoperiods (times of shading) have no significant effect on growth in terms of plant height, number of leaves, leaf width and length, and stem diameter. Moreover, on the inflorescence development of bell peppers in terms of number of flowers, length of stalks, and size of flowers (diameter). The results on fruiting in terms of number of fruits, sizes (length and diameter), and weight also revealed that the different photoperiods have no significant effect. However, the results of the study on the number of fruits per plant and per plot revealed significant differences among each treatment
Organizational Culture as Predictor of Faculty Members’ Soft Skills in Philippine State Universities
This paper investigated the relationship between organizational culture and soft skills. Data were collected among selected faculty members in the three different state universities. Using convenient sampling, the study included 324 respondents, one in each state university from the main island of the Philippines (Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao). This study used a descriptive-correlational design which utilized a self-constructed questionnaire with a Cronbach Alpha of 0.907 internal consistency, having formatted on a 4-point scale. The result showed that the organizational culture of faculty members is strong with a mean of 3.5 (SD=.48), and the soft skills of faculty members are good with a mean of 3.23 (SD=.44). Moreover, there is a significant relationship between organizational culture and soft skills, specifically, the clan culture negatively related to soft skills with a coefficient value of -.070 with a contribution of .09% in the variance. This implies that clan culture has a possible adverse relationship with soft skills. Based on the path model organizational culture has a direct effect on soft skills

Online Learning in Bangladesh during COVID-19: Perceived Effectiveness, Challenges, and Suggestions
The primary purpose of this research is to highlight the effectiveness and challenges of Online Learning (OL) for Bangladesh during COVID-19. Besides, the researchers have proposed some suggestions based on the findings of this research to overcome from those challenges. Fifteen students using purposive sampling from Bangladesh's private, public, and national universities have taken as a study sample. Researchers generated headings which will be asked to the respondents in relation to the research questions through the secondary sources (published articles, journals, reports, conference proceedings, newspapers, and government records). After that, data triangulation has been validated by the semi-structured interview of 15 students. According to the findings, online learning is now somehow effective; but, it faces several challenges in Bangladesh's educational system. The students, guardians, university authorities such as University Grant Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education will be benefited from these findings. The study only looked at Bangladeshi students' viewpoints, which may or may not be similar to those of other countries. As a result, generalization of the findings is less possible; consequently, more students from other countries should be included in the future
Mathematical Investigation of Functions
Generally, when the independent variable of a given exponential function is used as an exponent, the function is considered an exponential. Thus, the following can be examples of exponential functions: , , or . However, deriving functions of these types given the set of ordered pairs is difficult. This study was conducted to derive formulas for the arbitrary constants a ,b, and of the exponential function . It applied the inductive method by using definitions of functions to derive the arbitrary constants from the patterns produced. The findings of the study were: a) For linear, given the table of ordered pairs, equal differences in produce equal first differences in ; b) for quadratic, given the table of ordered pairs, equal differences in produce equal second differences in ; and c) for an exponential function, given a table of ordered pairs, equal differences in produce a common ratio in the first differences in y. The study obtained the following forms: , , . Since most models developed used the concept of linear and multiple regressions, it is recommended that pattern analysis be used specifically when data are expressed in terms of ordered pairs
