A Survey on Identification of Motifs and Ontology in Medical Database
Motifs and ontology are used in medical database for identifyingand diagnose of the disease. A motif is a pattern network used for analysis of the disease. It also identifies the pattern of the signal. Based on the motifs the disease can be predicted, classified and diagnosed. Ontology is knowledge based representation, and it is used as a user interface to diagnose the disease. Ontology is also used by medical expert to diagnose and analyse the disease easily. Gene ontology is used to express the gene of the disease
Skyscrapers: Origin, History, Evolution and Future
From humble cottages to super tall structures, human beings have progressively developed the living and working space with time. This paper describes the origin and growth of modern skyscrapers, the subsequent challenges faced, and the way it was outdone. Research papers and case studies have been thoroughly studied and important excerpts from them have been explained to show how the modern structures have been evolved. The sources and causes of evolution is debatable among researchers, this paper has taken into account 7 most vital milestones in the growth of current generation skyscrapers and their contribution to the construction industry and concludes with the ideas and scopes where growth is still possible and challenges need to be solved
Assessment of Strength of Hollow Concrete Blocks with Holes Reinforced with Half Portion of Coconut Shells
Natural building materials are diminishing day by day. Hence economical alternatives of natural building materials are necessary for sustainable development. A hollow concrete block was developed to reduce the use of natural building materials. Agricultural waste products like coconut shells from the coconut industry have disposal problems causing environmental concerns. Various studies were done in the past, replacing a portion of the natural aggregates with broken coconut shells for manufacturing the hollow concrete blocks. In this study, we have developed a new method of forming the holes of hollow concrete blocks by placing stacks of half portion of coconut shells at the bottom with convex surface upwards to reinforce the holes by arch action. The results show that the coconut shell reinforced hollow concrete blocks have better strength as compared to open-graded hollow concrete blocks available in the market.

A Survey on Contribution of Data Mining Techniques and Graph Reading Algorithms in Concept Map Generation
Concept maps are a pictorial representation of concepts found in data and it shows relationship between concepts. These Concept map help us to understand the whole data content, makes it easily readable and memorable. They are used to deliver complex data in an understandable form (map, tree, graph, etc), which is used for a better understanding and decision making for researchers and business, etc. This paper discusses the recent researches about concept maps and data mining techniques, and graph reading algorithms used for concept map generation
Exploring Electronic Payment System Acceptibility Determinants: A Consumer Outlook
The aim of this research paper is to explore the electronic payment system (EPS) acceptability determinants, from the consumer perspective. Exploratory factor analysis has been used to explore the factors based on different statements. The study has been conducted in North-West region of Delhi. Data has been collected from male-female of different age groups by using the questionnaire tool of data collection. For extraction of factors Principal component analyses and Varimax with Kaiser Normalization rotation method was used. The rotated component matrix shows best fitting of items to form a factor. As per the convergence of items, 4 factors were extracted and named. These factors are security concern, Knowledge, awareness and acceptability & convenience which are contributing for acceptability of electronic payment system among the consumers
Pedestrian Safety on Crosswalks in India - Need of the Hour
A paradigm shift has been observed from ‘moving of vehicles’ to ‘moving of persons’ while planning for transportation facilities in cities. Provision of integrated and barrier free pedestrian facilities is essential to ensure inclusive mobility. Pedestrian facilities are a critical component in producing a pedestrianfriendly environment. In India, the present facilities provided for the pedestrians are not efficient in general and crosswalks (zebra crossings) in particular. The pedestrian casualties in India have registered an increase of 11.7 percent in the year 2017, of which 31 percent have occurred on crosswalks. Therefore, an attempt has been made to overview the level of safety provided on the crosswalks. It has been found that majority of crosswalks are not fulfilling their intended purposes due to improper signage and markings, inadequate maintenance and bad surface condition. Another significant reason hampering the safety of pedestrians at crosswalks has been found to be inappropriate provision of guardrails and pedestrian refuge islands. Hence, some measures have been suggested to augment the pedestrian safety on the crosswalks
Integration of Online Social Network and E-Commerce Business through Facebook Pages
The aim of this paper is to explore Facebook page options through which e-commerce companies can establish relationship with online social networking users. It explores the various options available on Facebook page like audience building, data analysis, paid promotions etc. Techniques for organic and paid promotion discussed to build the page audience. Comprehensive study on data insights provided by Facebook is tabulated. This paper highlights the factors for integration of Online Social Network and e-commerce to help ecommerce companies to focus on building audience and converting them into sale. A step by step implemen-tation starting from page setup, audience building and data analy-sis is presented
Construction Practices and its Effect on Bond Strength of Pavements
oai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/3Extensive study is carried out to ascertain the effects of various construction practices on the bond strength between different layers of the pavement. In this study various construction practices refers to curing time of the pavement, various equipments used during construction of pavement, surface treatment provided. In this study a review is also carried out of the research work carried out by various researchers for estimating the bond strength between the existing old hot mix asphalt (HMA) layer and the new hot mix asphalt (HMA) layer overlaid. Also a review is taken in study regarding various experiments conducted by the researchers on the bond strength of different layers. Normally milling provides a good strength and good bond at the interface between the old layer and new layer overlaid on it. It is also observed that curing time has least effect on the bond strength
Flashover Characteristics Performance Assessment under Contamination Possessions on the Surface of Porcelain Insulators
This paper presents the experimental outcomes regard to the flashover performance of pin, shackle and disc insulators under contaminated conditions. For making contaminated surface various samples are made like salt, dust, industry pollution and miscellaneous foreign particles of wet and dry conditions as per IEC testing techniques. Moreover, each insulator has been tested under above mentioned conditions. For each insulator its breakdown voltages were measured. After doing performance analysis of different insulators under contaminated condition measurement of breakdown voltages are done with incorporation of real field application of insulators and making analogy with various regions of India
Path Clustering: Grouping in a Efficient Way Complex Data Distributions
This work proposes an algorithm that uses paths based on tile segmentation to build complex clusters. After allocating data items (points) to geometric shapes in tile format, the complexity of our algorithm is related to the number of tiles instead of the number of points. The main novelty is the way our algorithm goes through the grids, saving time and providing good results. It does not demand any configuration parameters from users, making easier to use than other strategies. Besides, the algorithm does not create overlapping clusters, which simplifies the interpretation of results
