Kumamoto-Hyoron in the History of the Political Movement in Kumamoto during the Meiji Era
This paper attempts to reconsider Kumamoto-Hyoron in the context of the political movement in Kumamoto. Kumamoto-Hyoron is a newspaper which was published in Kumamoto from 1907 to 1908. In Kumamoto-Hyoron the argument about “freedom” was discussed from the perspective of socialism and anti-imperialism. Through that point of view, it called on the readers to become aware of their oppressed circumstances and take some action to gain “freedom”. In addition, it paid attention to and honored the “rebellious spirit” of the past movement for freedom and people’s rights in Kumamoto and the socialist movement of Tokyo at that time. In conclusion, I claim that, taking into consideration the conservative political environment of Kumamoto, Kumamoto-Hyoron was unique in that it declared “freedom” and argued for a return to the “rebellious spirit”.departmental bulletin pape
“New Employment Image” of Diverse Worker Types of Elderly Employment and the Need for Legal Policy : Comparison and Actual Situation of Japan in Retirement with Other Countries
In the ultra-low birthrate and aging society of Japan, labor shortages will become more pronounced in the future. The question of how to secure a labor force and how to retain necessary and talented human resources is an important perspective. If one of the reasons why labor and management cannot reach agreement when concluding a labor contract after continuous employment is that the law stipulates only the handling of employment and employment security measures such as the retirement age system and the continuous employment system, and that the state does not interfere with the freedom to conclude the contract, but leaves it to labormanagement consensus building, isn?t that a problem? The purpose of this paper is to examine the “new employment image” of diverse labor types employed by the elderly in Japan and the necessity of legal policies, considering the knowledge obtained from the actual situation and challenges of Japan in the retirement of the elderly as certain suggestions that Japan should learn.departmental bulletin pape
