The ABCs of teacher-student interaction : Feedback in a Japanese elementary school English class
Get PDFThis paper examined feedback in one Japanese elementary school English class from the perspective of antecedent, behavior, and consequence－a system of analysis from behaviorist psychology. In particular, the prevalence and types of implicit reinforcement were identified. Intergenerational comparison of school environments related to diversity acceptance
Get PDFThis study explored intergenerational differences in school environments that contribute to the acceptance of diversity. Specifically, it was examined the impact of experiences with diverse individuals, educational opportunities promoting understanding of diversity, and diversity-sensitive facilities in elementary, junior high, and high schools. A questionnaire survey was administered to 400 high school students and 600 adults. The results indicated that teenagers showed higher levels of diversity awareness and behaviors, potentially influenced by their school environments. These findings highlight the importance of inclusive education and diversity-promoting environments in shaping positive attitudes towards diversity across generations.departmental bulletin pape
