Interface behavior and mechanical properties of explosively welded aluminum alloys and cast irons

    No full text
論文(Article)Joining aluminum alloys (AA) with cast iron (CI) is a promising approach for engineering applications requiring lightweight materials with strong mechanical properties. In this research, the feasibility of using the explosive welding process to join two aluminum alloys, A5052 and A6061 with two types of cast irons, JIS G 5501 and JIS G5502, has been investigated. The microstructural and mechanical properties of welded joints were studied to analyze weld interface characteristics and bond strength of the bimetallic joints. Microstructure studies revealed a complex and heterogeneous interface morphology with pronounced interlocking features enhanced by graphite at the interface. Mechanical testing demonstrated significant variations in Vickers microhardness, especially on the cast iron side. Welding A5052 and A6061 aluminum alloys with JIS G5502 resulted in significantly higher tensile strengths (145 MPa and 160 MPa, respectively) compared to JIS G5501 (81 MPa and 104 MPa, respectively). The findings of this study confirm the feasibility of using explosive welding to join Al alloys with cast iron and ductile cast iron found to be more suitable for achieving sound joints.journal articl

Examination of the effectiveness of experiential resilience education for fifth graders

Recently, school absenteeism, bullying, an increase in violent acts, and teachers' workloads have become major issues. In particular, the number of absenteeism and violent acts has increased from the elementary school stage, and this is due to changes in social structure and the decrease in collective social experiences due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of this background, there is a demand for curricula that allow students to acquire appropriate stress management and resilience. The author devised a psychological education class that incorporates Dohsa-hou and psychodramatic role-playing (PDRP). Dohsa-hou is a method of improving psychological problems through movement, and psychodrama is a group psychotherapy that uses improvisational dramatic techniques. It is expected that by using these methods, students will be able to discover new identities and improve their resilience through self-expression and interpersonal interaction. The class was conducted for 125 students in four classes of fifth graders in a prefecture A, and the results showed an improvement in resilience. The class was particularly effective for students with low resilience, and improvements in mutual understanding and problem-solving ability were observed. In addition, the students' comments after the class also gave it high marks, suggesting that the experience led to cooperation with friends and new discoveries. In the future, further research is needed to examine the effectiveness of teacher implementation, implementation in other grades, and the influence of the timing and frequency of the programs.departmental bulletin pape

The Gender Consciousness of Akiko Yosano in Midaregami

Akiko Yosano’s first poetry collection, Midaregami (1901), challenges traditional values and conventions, offering a positive portrayal of women’s selfhood and bodies, making her expressions from a female perspective and her awareness of gender issues noteworthy. Through depictions of “breasts” and “hair,” Yosano seeks the liberation of women’s bodies and emotions, demonstrating a stance of resistance against existing social and cultural authorities. Her work redefines women's bodies not as sexual objects but as subjects, symbolizing beauty and freedom.Furthermore, Yosano emphasizes the female perspective, infusing her work with empathy for lower-class women and a strong desire to address social inequalities. Going beyond themes of love and self-indulgence, she portrays powerful female figures who affirm their agency and challenge feudal values. Yosano's work advocates for women’s independent awareness of their bodies.departmental bulletin pape
