The use of online learning in teaching Technical Vocational in the Senior High during this pandemic is a challenge. This study examines the impact of online learning in the Senior High School exit assessment in the Technical Vocational specializations in Alejo M Pacalso Memorial National High School. The use of phenomenological approach and thematic analysis, face-to-face talks, online interviews and observations were applied to synthesize, identify and come out with the findings. Findings confirm that education using online learning significantly impacts the exit assessment of the technical vocational learners as respondents has issues in technical, technological, physical, environmental, personal and psychological difficulties while using the said platform. Further, the research reflects that the knowledge domain can be highly met using online learning using discussion, video and learning materials as strategies but psychomotor and affective domain does not. Although some acknowledge that online learning benefits them because its self-paced, respondents clamor to be more confident when they learn the competency skills using hands-on than in online platform. Strengthening parent-teacher-stakeholders in partnership with the Department of Education will guarantee innovations, interventions and continuity of online learning to ensure high exit assessment results of senior high school technical vocational learners

A study of utility of delta IgG as a prognostic marker in Guillain Barre Syndrome after IV immunoglobulin treatment

    Get PDF
Background: Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is an acute onset immune-mediated disease affecting  the  peripheral  nerve  also  its  root  Plasma exchange(PE) and intravenous immuno globulin(IVIG) have given evidence for faster recovery in GBS(4). IVIG treatment is comparatively costly but hospital stay duration is reduced.Other options include corticosteroids but have not shown benefit. Mortality of GBS is around 3%. Around 20 % patients have persisting neurological deficits and one half of these have severe disability. After a standard dose of IVIg treatment, GBS patients show a large variation in pharmacokinetics of IgG, which may be related to clinical outcome. The therapeutic dose of IVIg for GBS was empirically set at 2g per kg body weight, based mainly on the clinical experience in patients with immune deficiencies. Not all patients of GBS, however, show a good recovery after this standard dose. IVIg clearance may depend on disease severity and vary between individuals, implying that this dose may be suboptimal for some patients who might need DOSE adjustments for others the standard dose might be sufficient. Aims and Objectives: To study and determine the serum DELTA IgG values and evaluate its utility in the prognosis of Guillain Barre Syndrome after IVIG treatment

Hypertension is a disease that many people suffer from that can cause other, more dangerous health problems such as rupture of blood vessels in the brain and heart, resulting in death. According to WHO data, the coverage of hypertension reaches 1.13 billion. The management of hypertension is still dominated by pharmacological therapy. As for reducing this complexity, experts apply complementary therapies. Complementary therapy is a complementary therapy of conventional therapy for healing. One of the complementary nursing therapies that is easy to do to lower blood pressure is through meditation. Of the several types of meditation, there is one type of meditation that is closely related to human psychology, namely Mindfulness Meditation. So this study aims to prove the effect of Mindfulness Meditation on Blood Pressure in Elderly With Hypertension (In the Elderly Posyandu, Dukuh Village, Gondang District, Tulungagung Regency). The research design used was One Group Pre Test-Post Test with a cross sectional approach where the research subjects were only observed once and measurements were made on the subject variables at the time of examination.&nbsp

Resistance to antibacterial drugs is a major health problem because of its impact . It is important to study the prevalence of antibiotic resistance genes in order to understand.Twenty five Salmonella enterica isolated from human and animal diarrhea. Traditional culture methods, biochemical methods, and molecular methods were used to characterize the samples during December to September 2020  to 2021. Disk diffusion method was used to determine antimicrobial susceptibility patterns of isolates identified as MDR by the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI). The PCR amplification was used to show presence of class 1, 2 and 3 integrons. Class 1 integrons and class3  were detected in 100% of the multidrug-resistant Salmonella isolates, whlie class2 detected among 40%. RAPD-PCR fingerprinting regarded successfully as a reliable, reproducible, accurate and sensitive discriminatory method to Salmonella enterica. The results of RAPD-PCR amplification of Salmonella enterica  isolates revealed that 24 isolates (96.%) also showed about one to six amplification bands per isolate, except one isolates  were untypeble. The most frequent band was a 1400bp band (72%), while the lowest frequent band was 400bp (8%) among an individual isolates
