Characterization and comparison of efficacy and safety of calcipotriene and clobetasol in severe chronic plaque psoriasis patients
Calcipotriene and Clobetasol ointments efficiently treat psoriasis. The purpose of the study was to characterize and compare the efficacy and safety of Calcipotriene and Clobetasol in chronic plaque psoriasis patients. 70 patients with chronic plaque psoriasis were recruited and randomly divided into two groups of 35 each. One group received 0.005% Calcipotriene, and the other group received 0.05% clobetasol twice daily for 12 weeks. Efficacy evaluations comprise global improvement assessed by the clinician by using the Physician Global Assessment (PGA) score. Efficacy further included the 'Dermatological Sum Score' (DSS) and Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) score at each study visit. The safety evaluations included clinical assessment of cutaneous safety and assessment of cutaneous discomfort by the clinician as well as the subject. Calcipotriene and Clobetasol were significantly effective in reducing PASI and DSS. However, the two experimental groups have shown no statistically significant observations. The PGA score assessed clinically was 1.27 for calcitriene and 1.79 for Clobetasol (p>0.05). The cutaneous safety score was higher in the clobetasol group compared to the Calcipotriene group. 4% of cutaneous discomfort was reported with Clobetasol compared to 2% with Calcipotriene. Calcipotriene showed a better safety profile than Clobetasol
Impact of erythropoietin on arterial hypertension
Cardiovascular and renal diseases constitute two pathophysiological contexts of progressive fatal recognitions worldwide and as priorities in terms of health in its entirety. Erythropoietin is a glycoprotein hormone which produces red blood cells, which carry oxygen in the blood. The objective was to know the most prevalent modifiable risk factors found in arterial hypertension, since this disease is the third cause of death in the world, the bibliographic search and the inductive-deductive method were used. The result was that treatment with recombinant human erythropoietin-stimulating agents is considered effective in improving the management of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease, since it has cardioprotective, renoprotective and neuroprotective functions
Development and analysis of employee health reformation strategy to manage occupational stress
The global employer challenge today is to maintain the work-life balance of employees. Employees are the backbone of any organization. Employees are striving for their excellence in both work and life front but stress is the culprit of health, which creates obstacles. Many times, a person is unaware of health symptoms caused by stress. Emotional imbalance, anger and depression lead to physical health degradation like blood pressure fluctuations, blood sugar level imbalance, upset liver functions, etc. In this paper, 200 male and female respondents as a sample were chosen from multi-national companies from Pune. The new Burnout Sculptor strategy is developed to lower the health impact due to stress. Results show that pre-and post burnout sculptor strategy provides positive health impact to employees

Removal reasons In our study, we found that the overall complication rate was 9.29 percent, with infection rate 0.7 percent, prolonged lochia rate 2.1 percent, persistent bleeding rate 3.6 percent, and pain abdomen 1.4 percent. The study's removal rate was 5.0 percent. The rate of expulsion was 2.86 percent. The satisfaction rate was 80%. Based on the findings of this study, we believe that postpartum IUCD should be widely used as a contraceptive
A pharmacovigilance study of oral antidiabetic drugs in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
The aim of the study to to evaluate and analyse ADRs in type II diabetic patients and to determine the causality and safety profile of all the prescribed medicationsMethods: A prospective study was carried out in diabetic patients visiting the Diabetic OPD and those fulfilling inclusion criteria were included in study. ADR observed were obtained from their Diabetic Diary and were recorded in the Case Record Form to evaluate the incidence, frequency, severity and causalityResults: A total of 81 ADRs were reported from206 patients. The class of drug responsible for causing more ADRs was found to be biguanides. The mostcommonly affected organ system was GI System. The suspected ADRs were assessed for their causality,it wasrevealed that 26 were probable and 55 were possible as per WHO Scale. Conclusions: The present study helps to understand importance of ADR reporting to ensure maximum benefits of drugtherapy. As the cases of new onset diabetes is also increasing in Indian scenario as well as newer drugs are also developed to target the disease pathology, therefore active pharmacovigilance should be carried out for risk identification and management

Impact of varying hydraulic retention time for treating distillery effluent in activated sludge system to combat the environmental and health hazards
Ethanol-distilleries are the key supporter to the world's economy, but these are moreover one of the major sources of environmental pollution that can impact the human heath if the effluents are not treated in proper manners. Distillery effluents with high biological oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) contains toxic chemicals which are reported to be of carcinogenic and mutagenic in nature. One of the widely used technology for the distillery wastewater treatment is based on up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) technology along with activated sludge process. This technology has fulfilled a need for high efficiency treatment of wastes from various distilleries. With the increasing demands of distillery units and strict guidelines by government agencies for the environment protection, more efforts are required to achieve the zero liquid discharge (ZLD). The research reported in this paper is an effort to perform the in-situ study for evaluating the impact of varying retention times on the efficiency of the condensate Polishing Unit (CPU) based on UASB technology along with activated sludge process for ZLD. The primary objective was to determine pH, BOD and COD after increasing the HRTs in the aeration tank.
