The effect of strategic alignment in achieving organizational ingenuity: An analytical study of a sample from the Iraq tourism authority – Baghdad
The aim of the current study is to show the role that strategic alignment(SA) can play in achieving organizational ingenuity(OI) , partnership, governance, skills, and infrastructure), while the dependent variable had five dimensions (exploration, investment, structural ingenuity, contextual ingenuity, leadership ingenuity), while the method used in the study is the descriptive analytical approach, and a questionnaire was designed to collect the necessary data, A deliberate sample of (113) members was selected, distributed at the level of administrative leaders in the body in question, who are in the position of (general manager, assistant general manager, department manager, division official). Those variables interacted to form the general framework around which the study revolves. Main and subsidiary hypotheses emerged from them in order to reach the aforementioned goal of the study
Serum retinol binding protein-4 and the risk of hypothyroidism in Egyptian diabetic patients with cardiovascular manifestations
Retinol binding protein-4 (RBP4) levels have been associated with patients of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) including insulin resistance (IR), dyslipidemia, and cardiovascular disease (CVD). The present study examined the relationship between serum levels of RBP4 and the risk factors related to hypothyroidism (Hypo) and CVD in diabetic Egyptian patients. A total of 96 subjects were recruited and divided into 8 groups. Subjects were assessed for different biochemical parameters. In addition, serum levels of RBP4 were measured using specific immunoassays. There was a highly statistically significant difference in fasting blood glucose (FBG) and hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) between the different patient groups and the control group. Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) concentration in the (T2DM+Hyp) group was considerably higher than in the other groups. There were statistically significant variations in TSH levels between all groups and controls. The mean RBP4 value in Group5 (T2DM+Hyp+CVD) was significantly higher than in the other groups. In (T2DM+Hypo+CVD) group, the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve revealed that RBP4 had a higher area under curve (AUC), making it a powerful discriminator of those diseases.
Perceived stress and academic concerns among undergraduate medical students during COVID-19 pandemic
Background: In India, the coronavirus pandemic had created a sudden closure of educational institutes which led to the shift of conventional classes to virtual classes. The present study aimed to assess the perceived stress and academic concerns during the COVID 19 lockdown, among the medical students. This cross-sectional study was carried in a government medical college during covid 19 lockdown. It included 590 undergraduate students. A semi-structured online questionnaire on Google forms was constructed and the link was forwarded to all the medical students. Perceived stress scale-4 was used to study the stress among this population. Results: Of the 590 out of 750 students MBBS students, 75%had high level of stress, where-as 25% had low level of stress. Post-lockdown, 287(48.64%) felt that it is best to revert to the old curriculum and mode of teaching. Around 90% i.e., 512 (86.78%) said they were concerned about the loss of clinical and practical experience. Around 50% i.e., 286 (48.47%) felt that returning to the medical college would increase their risk of infection.320 (54.24%) said they were concerned about protective measures. 230 (38.98%) said that their family members were concerned about their risk of exposure and infection and so didn't want them to join.
Shift from welfare to free market economy: Journey of the Indian constitution and the role of the supreme court
There has been a series of incidences which triggered the movement from welfare economy to free market economy in India, but it is really difficult to comprehend them and to know which Supreme Court verdicts played important role in such a transition and what were the changes made due to that. It appears that the role of the Supreme Court is highly significant in the transition of the Indian Economic structure from Welfare to Free Market. This research work aims at finding the key judgements and jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of India regarding the said shift
The association between body mass index and dental caries in school children: A cross-sectional study
Background: Association of obesity and dental caries, as they have share same risk factors like consumption of free sugars and deprived socioeconomic status. Individual consuming refined carbohydrates in excess especially in its refined form is associated both with dental caries and overweight & obese. Methodology: The questionnaires were administered to the school children and The examinations of the children were conducted only with the written consent of the children/parents. Results: most of the school children belong to 5-15 yr of age and 71.6% were males. Relationship between BMI & Mean DMFT, infers that if BMI increases from normal, DMFT also increase but overweight and obese category (0.4% and 0.2%) were very less. Mean DMFT also increase significantly if the sugar exposure increases. Conclusion: Positive association between BMI and dental caries was found and it should be guide among health promoters about BMI could be related to dental caries
Benzimidazole-Urea derivatives as anti-cancer agents: In-silico study, synthesis and in-vitro evaluation
A new series of urea derivatives containing benzimidazole group as potential anticancer agents have been designed and synthesized. The structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized and confirmed by spectroscopic techniques such as 1H NMR, and Mass spectrometry. A new series of urea derivatives containing benzimidazole group were design with an intention to search new antiproliferative lead compound. Drug like properties and bioactivity score for drug targets of designed compounds were calculated by molinspiration tool and obtained result found to obey Lipinski’s rule that indicates the compound are orally active molecules. Osiris property explorer was used for the prediction of drug relevant properties and toxicity of synthetic compounds. Pre ADMET server was also used to estimate ADME properties of synthetic compounds, results showed good to notable anticancer activity. So that, these new benzimidazole-urea compounds could serve as potential template to become leads in near future for the discovery and development of new effect orally drugs molecules
The economic consequences of rapid population growth in Nigeria
Nigeria is currently the world's sixth most populous country. However, empirical research on the impact of this growing population on economic growth is divided. This study adds to existing research on the economic effects of Nigeria's rapid population growth. This study used a qualitative research design because it relied on secondary data gathered from books, journal papers, and online sources. Its content was examined in light of the objectives of the study, and Malthusian theory serves as the study's foundation. The majority of Nigeria's development issues, according to the study's findings, can be directly or indirectly linked to the country's rapid population growth. This study thus urges, among other things, the need for an all-encompassing mechanism that will address issues of conflict and insecurity, migration and displacement, access to education for girls, and proper regulation of infrastructure development, as well as the undiluted conservative ideology whereby many, especially in Nigeria, see population growth as the key to control of political power and resources that should be thrown away in favor of a more effective and functional system
Aortic stenosis above 70, conventional aortic valve replacement vs trans catheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI)
Background: The prognosis is not good for those who have severe aortic stenosis with symptoms. In adults who have significant symptoms caused by aortic stenosis, surgical replacement of the aortic valve has been the treatment of choice up until quite recently. Objective: to accurately compare the surgical process and initial results of the more invasive standard sternotomy with the less invasive TAVI approach in elderly patients with isolated aortic valve disease who needed surgery in accordance with the inclusion criteria.Patients and method: Our research was a retrospective comparative analytical investigation that was carried out on forty patients who were above the age of seventy and suffered from severe aortic stenosis. The study was conducted at the National Heart Institute as well as other hospitals. Fifty percent of the participants were candidates for aortic valve replacement surgery via traditional median sternotomy, and the other fifty percent were candidates for trans-catheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Results: There was statistically insignificant difference between the two groups in terms of death after surgery, stroke, acute kidney injury, complete heart block requiring ppm, re-intervention, or bleeding.
An intelligent robust malware detection by implementing deep learning
Malicious software (ransom ware) cyber attacks in frequency and severity, posing an increasingly serious threat to computer systems everywhere. Malware detection is a hot study area as several multiple computers, organisations, and governments have been affected by an exponential rise in malware attacks. Dynamic and static assessment of malicious characteristics and behaviour patterns is time expensive and useless in real-time malware detection, according to current technologies. It is becoming increasingly common for malicious apps to use polymorphic and adaptive techniques to rapidly modify their behaviour and develop a number of new malicious apps. In order to undertake an effective malware analysis, machine learning techniques (MLAs) are increasingly being used to create new malware varieties. This approach is time-consuming since it requires considerable feature engineering, learning and representation of features. Moreover the feature extraction process could be effectively eliminated by using advanced MLAs like deep learning. These methods have been shown to perform better with a biased training dataset, which restricts their practical application in real-time scenarios. A new improved approach for successful zero-day malware detection must be developed in order to eliminate biases and analyze these approaches autonomously.
Utilizing machine learning techniques to classify network traffic
With in community of internet, it may be essential to recognize whatever programs are flowing via the networks in order to execute particular activities. Network traffic categorization is primarily used by Internet service providers (ISPs) to determine the qualities needed to construct a connection, which in turn influences the cable network current effectiveness. Stream, bandwidth, and machine-learning methods were all used to categorise internet protocol, and each has its own benefits and drawbacks. Because of its widespread use across disciplines as well as the increasing awareness between many investigators of its [5] methodology when especially in comparison to everyone else, the Machine Learning method is popular these times. Nave Bayes as well as K-nearest algorithm results are then compared in this research whenever applied to a networking given dataset taken through live stream feeds using Ethernet program. Python's sklearn module and the pandas and numpy arrays modules are utilised as assist modules to create a machine learning algorithm. Our findings show that K closest approach is more efficient than Nave Bayes, Decision Tree, and Support Vector Machine algorithms
