The Technical University of Manabí (UTM) has proposed a research project funded by the National Secretary of Planning and Development of Ecuador (Senplades), aimed at boosting sustainable energy solutions that are based on the technical philosophy of microgrids with the use of renewable energy sources (RES). In this paper the spatial information related to solar energy potential of the province of Manabí, Ecuador's, managed by a geographic information system (GIS) as an integration tool that provides information on objectives that interact with microgrids shown, also the importance of its use as a management tool projects related to the use of RES and instrumentation aimed at ensuring innovative solutions to support the change of energy matrix from a territorial perspective is exposed

Work posture improvement using ergonomic approach decreases subjective disorders of perapen workers on the process of nguwad gamelan in Bali
Get PDFThe process of nguwad trompong is still considered as a heavy task for workers because it is still done using ember of the perapen (fireplace) that is exposed in open and unnatural work posture such as bending work posture. Moreover, the heat of the perapen furnace makes the work heavier for the nguwad workers which can make them tired easily and cause musculoskeletal disorders or known as subjective disorders. Thus, an experimental research was conducted using treatment by subject design toward 12 gamelan workers in Klungkung Bali. The intervention was done by improving the workstation so that the bending work posture of the prapen workers was changed into sat naturally and the bending-while-standing work posture of the smiths was changed into straighter standing work posture. Musculoskeletal disorders were measured using NIOSH Nordic Body Map Subjective Filling. The general fatigue was measured using 30 Items Self-Rating Questionnaire Industrial Fatigue Research Committee from Japan Association of Industrial Health
The analyses of factors influencing farmer motivation at cacao farming in North Lombok
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to: (1). Knowing the level of production and the factors that influence the motivation of farmers in the farming of cocoa (Theobroma cacao. L) in North Lombok Regency. (2). Knowing the relationship between the factors that influence the motivation of farmers in the farming of cocoa (Theobroma cacao. L) in North Lombok Regency. (3). Knowing the constraints faced by cocoa farmers in farming in North Lombok Regency. This research uses the descriptive method with survey techniques. The unit of analysis in this study is a cocoa farm in North Lombok Regency. While the analysis is Logistic Regression and Spearman Rank Correlation. The results showed that the level of cocoa production in the year 2014 for all Sub-District in North Lombok regency as follows: District Winning as much as 25736.65 tons, District of Tanjung many as 79 920 tons, District Ganges as much as 358 596 tonnes, District Kayangan as much as 141 152 tonnes and the District Bayan as much as 19528.25 tons

Get PDFThis research aims to find out the derivational and inflectional affixes in The Songs Adele Albums. This research is descriptive qualitative research where the researcher tries to find out the derivational and inflectional affix and the roots from the words in Songs Adele Albums without using statistical calculation. In this research, the writer uses all of the words that include prefix and suffix as the data. The data source is all the parts of words are the beginning of the lyrics of songs, by Adele Albums. The result of analyzing data were the derivational and inflectional affixes found in Songs Adele Albums are -er, -en, -ing, –ly, -ment, -ness as suffixes, while the inflectional affixes are –d, -s, -ed, -ing, -es, -er, -est. From the conclusion of this research, the writer suggests that to improve their mastery of vocabulary, the readers should apply the derivational and inflectional affixes by breaking the word into its elements root and affixes because from one word they can get the structure of words and they also find how the words built. By knowing the roots, the readers can build the word by themselves
Yield performance of calocybe indica on different agricultural subatrate
Get PDFThe Milky mushroom, Calocybe Indica was cultivated on the different agricultural substrate, paddy straw, wheat straw, sugarcane trace, and mango dry leaves. The spawning was done by sterilization of all the four substrates. The bags were kept in a mushroom growing room with the maintenance of temperature and humidity 30? c-35? c and 70-80 % respectively. The minimum days requires for completion of spawn run (18.4 days), primordial formation (25.2 days) and days for first harvest (32.4 days) was first observed on cultivation with Paddy straw. The maximum yield on fra esh weight basis and biological efficiency (134.86 %) was also found to be as the same treatment with the Paddy straw as a substrate. The biological efficiency of wheat straw was at par with Sugarcane trace as sua bstrate which was 85.07 % and 85.02 % respectively

Get PDFBali Pig is one of germplasm whose existence is very limited until now. This is due to the very low growth and breeding compared to other types such as Landrace pigs, Duroc, and Laghwhite. However, Bali pig has an advantage among others such as able to utilize lack quality feed so it is suitable to maintain in rural areas. To keep the existence of Bali pig, a necessary attempt needed to avoid extinction. One of its ways is to make improved feed by adding turmeric powder (curcuminoid). The benefits of giving curcuminoid are able to increase the appetite, increase the utilization of nutrients such as fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. This research method used a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were: Treatment A: swine rations that did not contain turmeric powder (extract curcuminoid), Treatment B: swine rations contained turmeric powder (extract curcuminoid), 0,02 ml/1 kilogram body weight, Treatment C: swine rations contained turmeric powder (extract curcuminoid 0.04 ml/1 kilogram body weight), and Treatment D: swine rations contained turmeric powder (extract curcuminoid)
Performance of Bali cattle that given of lannea coromandelica bark boiled as feed additive
Get PDFA research has been done to know the appearance of Bali cattle that given of Lannea coromandelica bark boiled as a feed additive. The research used a completely randomized block design (CRBD) with four treatments and three replications. Each replicates using three Bali cattle. The weight of male Bali cattle used was 137.5 - 235 kg. The basic ration is formulated based on dry matter percentage (%DM). A basic ration that given is the same for four treatments that are: 50% Heteropogon contortus, 20 % gliricidia, 1% urea and 29 % rice bran. The treatment is as feed additive level. Basic ration + 0 ml feed additive (A), basic ration + 1000 ml feed additif (B), basic ration + 1500 ml feed additive (C) and basic ration + 2000 ml feed additive (D). Variables observed were: dry matter intakes nutrient intake, weight body of gain and feed convertion ratio. The result of this experiment showed that present 1000 ml – 2000 ml feed additive of Lannea coromandelica boiled is significantly different (P<0, 05) increasing dry matter intake, nutrient intake, and body weight of gain
