Workload evaluation towards the dodol workers from dryer section in Buleleng Bali
Penglatan village, one of the villages in Buleleng Regency-Bali, is the center of dodol industry, with a number of makers up to 44 small group makers, on which each group consisting of 6 to 8 workers. Dodol is a sweet snack that has been sold to many regions in Bali as well as to modern markets such as minimarkets or supermarkets and Bali souvenir shops. In Bali, dodol has become one of the traditional snacks used for offering in the religious ceremony. The making process of dodol consisted of several processes, which were dough making, cooking, packaging/wrapping, and lastly, drying. The drying process was done by the workers through the natural method by utilizing the traditional tool to spread the dodol on the bamboo mat on which afterward, continued by drying them in the sun. The kind of drying process can cause ergonomic problems such as pain in the neck, shoulder, back, lower back, head, and hands. As a result, it can decrease work productivity as well as product quality
Quality in industrial engineering school: Universidad Tecnica de Manabi
The paper presents a conceptual analysis related to quality in higher education, highlighting the peculiarities in Ecuador, presenting the content structure of the evaluation system of the quality required by the CEAACES and quality environment is addressed in the UTM, analysis related to the results of research on the quality of development in the career of Industrial Engineering of higher learning was obtained, proving that there are still weaknesses that can affect academic excellence, so it requires constant effort on the part of the institutions, which can be realized through research projects aimed at maintaining self-control of quality in universities
Spreading awareness and job opportunities through odl
Distance Education has done miracles in the field of education, it caters to those students who study and work on their own at home or at the office and communicate with faculty and other students via e-mail, electronic forums, video conferencing, chat rooms, boards, instant messaging and varieties of other forms of computer-based communication. Distance learning makes it much easier for some students to complete a degree or get additional job-training while balancing work and family commitments. This article elaborates upon the significance of Distance Education discussing various job oriented courses offered by Open universities to aspirants seeking degrees for a better resume and for career enhancements
The lightning by mobile tech
According to the lightning protection requirements of the facilities and equipment’s in oil depot, this paper proposes the integrated mobile lightning protection device and technology to protect lightning strike in different regions of oil depot, analyses the systemic composition and the technical characteristics of the integrated mobile lightning protection device and technology, and practically applies them to establish the lightning protection system in the important region of oil depot. The application shows that the integrated mobile lightning port According to the lightning protection requirements of the facilities and equipment in oil depot, this paper proposes the integrated mobile lightning protection device and technology to protect lightning strike in different regions of oil depot, analyses the systemic composition and the technical characteristics of the integrated mobile lightning protection device and technology, and practically applies them to establish the lightning protection system in the important region of oil depot. The application shows that the integrated mobile lightning protection device and technology are safe, reliable, practical and convenient, which makes it suitable for widely applications
Performance, modeling, measurements, and simulation of energy efficient for heat exchanger, refrigeration and air conditioning
Over the years, all parts of a commercial refrigerator, such as the compressor, heat exchangers, refrigerant, and packaging, have been improved considerably due to the extensive research and development efforts carried out by academia and industry. However, the achieved and anticipated improvement in conventional refrigeration technology are incremental since this technology is already nearing its fundamentals limit of energy efficiency is described is ‘magnetic refrigeration’ which is an evolving cooling technology. The word ‘green’ designates more than a color. It is a way of life, one that is becoming more and more common throughout the world. An interesting topic on ‘sustainable technologies for a greener world’ details about what each technology is and how it achieves green goals. Recently, conventional chillers using absorption technology consume energy for hot water generator but absorption chillers carry no energy saving. With the aim of providing a single point solution for this dual-purpose application, a product is launched but can provide simultaneous chilling and heating using its vapor absorption technology with 40% saving in heating energy. Using energy efficiency and managing customer energy use has become an integral and valuable exercise. The reason for this is green technology helps to sustain life on earth. This not only applies to humans but to plants, animals and the rest of the ecosystem. Energy prices and consumption will always be on an upward trajectory. In fact, energy costs have steadily risen over last decade and are expected to carry on doing so as consumption grows
A society based research to assess adherence of antiretroviral therapy
Access Adherence to Antiretroviral Therapy. A community-based antiretroviral (ART) drugs adherence study was conducted in Kolkata, India beginning in January and concluding in March 2011. This study was designed to explore the level of adherence as well as factors influencing adherence to ART by those who are receiving treatment through a public health care delivery system. This health care system is implemented through the National AIDS Control Program in the state of West Bengal, India. The research findings showed a high degree of non-adherence, between 48-52%, among the ART recipients. The analysis highlights a number of key factors negatively influencing adherence including long waiting time at the ART center, distance from residence to ART Centre, travel related expenditure, and fear of being identified as HIV + to family members and neighbors. Some positive influences were identified in the data as well. If a person is a member of a positive people network there is a greater chance for adherence as well as if an individual self-identifies as positive to others. However, no single factor, rather a combination of several factors, proved to be responsible for influencing ART adherence among recipients.
The impact of economic crisis on tourism industry: Bangladesh perspective
The tourism sector is experiencing numerous challenges as a result of the global economic crisis. After a significant contraction in 2009, tourism rebounded strongly in 2010 and in 2011 the international tourist arrivals and receipts are projected to increase substantially. The Tourism industry is expected to show a sustained recovery in 2012. The crisis has a particularly strong impact and slightly negative consequences in Bangladesh. The country is undergoing a political crisis, as well, and it seems that the forthcoming elections may be the only solution for the restoration of stability and social peace. In addition, tourism can be the driving force behind Bangladesh economic recovery. However, for its achievement, the country’s policymakers should take several measures towards restructuring and improve the sector. These measures include enhancement of alternative forms of tourism; environmental protection; creation of quality infrastructure; and a boost of competitiveness through a tourism product that offers value for money
