Get PDFJanger dance was a type of social dance that was done by muda-mudi (young people) who did while singing blared rejoice. Unlike one of the cultural heritage, Janger dance consist of cultural values that can be imparted to the next generation as the improvement character therefore, they had a foundation and a high identity. The entry of globalization through a tourism networking and modern technology brought a great influence to tradition; the local culture of Balinese traditional seems narrow movement. However, the issue could be minimized by giving the traditional of art and culture for performing to each regencies in Bali at the Bali Arts Festival that was initiated by the Government of Bali Province. The good opportunities utilized by the Government of Klungkung allowed young artists creativity, innovative; compete with sportively in realizing an art production. Through the art could express and represent a performance i.e. Janger Gotra I Mecaling dance Klungkung regency in 2015 Bali Arts Festival XXXVII. Unlike a new culture production, Janger dance performances coupled with the dance that told the story of Gotra I Mecaling. The audience could be amazed on who had come for watching, through the new artists design in arts performing was expected to compete without leaving their authenticity, and could be a tourist attraction, in order to remember that Bali was a tourist destination

Next, the writer used the descriptive method to analyze data. The writer only focused his research on analyzing personal deixis in korbafo dialect. Based on research made, there are three kinds of personal deixis in Korbafo dialect: comprising both singular and plural forms of the first-person deixis, second person deixis, and third person deixis. Get PDFThis paper is about the analysis of exclamative clause which is occurred in English novel and its translation into Indonesian. Some theories are used to support the analysis, the theory of translation by Nida and Taber (1974) and also types of sentences by Quirk (1976). The analysis found there are two types of exclamative clause, i.e. interjection and exclamative sentences in the novel as the data of this study. The form of the exclamative sentences is not only marked by a noun phrase but also an adjective phrase. The structure of both texts (SL and TL) syntactically could be translated into the same or different structure, while the SL is mostly translated or equivalent into TL by the same forms. The changes of information do not change the main idea from the SL so the message can be transferred the same to TL. The result of this study shows that there are variations of translation of the English exclamative clause into Indonesian, which include the communicative functions of the sentence

Born to a Brahmin family according to Karavana Mahatmya, he died in the seventh month and during his short span he displayed remarkable spiritual powers. His mother floated his body in a river as per the tradition and as said a group of tortoise carried the body to a Shiva shrine. The child became alive and became an ascetic. By yet another account Lakulisha died but was revived by Lord Siva himself. Lord entered his body and preached the Pashupata moral and ethics to the world. The place of his rebirth is today a town called Kayavarohana "to incarnate in another's body". This miracle is still celebrated among the Pashupata believers. Tembang macapat provided in pupuh was used for writing a literary works i.e. geguritan. One of the literary works in Bali was Geguritan Bungkling which tells the main character life’s, named I Ketut Bungkling (a common descendant, however, had an ingenuity and a courage that were very good). This study used a structuralist-semiotic theory. The data collection was applied an observation method and note-taking techniques. The research aim is able to describe the educational values of national character implicit in the text of pupuh Geguritan Bungkling. The data obtained were analyzed by the analytical descriptive method. The study on Geguritan Bungling text, findings a local moral values of character education, included: (1) the intelligence character, (2) the character of love science, (3) religious character, (4) introspection character, (5) the care character, (6) responsibility character, (7) the character loves a culture, (8) love characters, and (9) the character of peace

Phonology of muna language: Theoretical review of optimality

Optimality theory using the model of linguistic analysis by utilizing the candidate as an input and output that has a relation between the two. The relationship between input and output is mediated in a formal mechanism in the form of plant and assessors. Generating create a linguistic object and record the relationships of obedience in the input. Assessor in the hierarchy constraint is used to select the best candidates from the input as an optimal candidate produced by the plant. The analysis showed that the peak of the property syllables in the language Muna has one vowel, property onset syllable preceded single consonant, property complexes, only one consonant at the edge of the tribe, the property no coda syllable ends with a vowel
Learning model development to improve students’ oral communication skill: (a research and development study on english as a foreign language (EFL) subject in all junior high schools in north of lombok, west nusa tenggara province)
Get PDFThe reality, students who have graduated from junior high schools do not achieve the learning quality as expected by the curriculum. The alumni of junior high schools still have the low oral communication skill in English. The problem of the present research was what learning model which can improve the students’ oral communication skill. The purpose of this research is to find a product in the form of learning model as an alternative learning model which can improve oral communication skill. The research approach used in this study was research and development by modifying the ten steps of research procedures into only three steps that are (1) preliminary study, (2) model development, and (3) model validation test. The participants of this study were the teachers and the students of the junior high schools in North of Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat. The data collection techniques used in this study such as observation, questionnaire, document study, and oral test. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively (statistical test). This research and development study produced a learning model that can be used to improve the English oral communication skill. That learning model consists of five learning steps, namely (1) the orientation phase, (2) the phase of using the command to direct behavior, (3) the phase of role reversal, (4) the phase of role independent practice, and (5) the phase of guided practice. After analyzing the data in the form score difference between pretest and posttest in the experimental group and the control group. It is concluded that the developed learning model effectively improved the junior high school students’ spoken communication skill when being compared with the conventional learning model that was usually used by the teacher. The developed learning model emphasizes the students’ activities in the learning process. It can be applied by the teacher through saying a word and demonstrating an act to represent its meaning without translating it into Indonesia Language, and asking the students to also demonstrate the word. After demonstrating the word, the students try to produce the oral language through the question and answer activities both independently and being guided by the teacher. Based on the findings, it is recommended for teachers, junior high school institutions, school committee, education department in local government, to utilize this learning model as an alternative model in learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in junior high schools
