The development of Mandolin music today is experiencing very rapid development. We can see this in the presence of various artistic creativities that are present in the midst of society. The presence of artistic creativity is due to the opening of wide creative spaces for the younger generation who love traditional music. Various types of new repertoires have appeared to color the development of Mandolin music today as a result of this freedom of space to create the repertoire work and the musical instruments. This has resulted in the emergence of many new musical genres in the community. The main problems discussed in this study include: What is the form of renewal carried out in Mandolin music? What are instrument development, repertoire, and presentation system? This research aims to identify, describe, and analyze the form of Mandolin music from classical to its development. Data were analyzed using interpretive qualitative methods, and the results of the analysis were presented informally in narrative form. The results of this study indicate that Neo Nolin is a renewal of the existing Mandooin music, reconstructed to present a new atmosphere, form, and presentation system that is more aesthetically attractive

The analysis of relationship between politeness and face theory
This study aims to analyze the relationship between politeness and face theory. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method to explain the relationship between politeness and face theory. The theory of Brown and Levinson is used to describe and explain face theory while Leech’s Politeness Principle is used for politeness theory. The results of this study showed that politeness is very important, theory and concepts have been broadly developed by experts, especially on how to be polite as well as to show solidarity to other people. Face theory suggests that to be polite, people need to recognize each others’ faces, where face itself means public self-image that every member wants to claim for himself. These theories and concepts give great impacts on society because politeness is one of the important factors to keep harmony between people. The application of these theories and concepts are also significantly needed in society so that harmonious relationship between people can be maintained

Toni Morrison’s transgressive literary preaching and folk songs as postmemory
This paper intends to study the sermons or ‘‘literary preaching’’ and folk songs in Toni Morrison’s fiction in the light of Marianne Hirsch’s concept of postmemory. Drawing on Hirsch’s postmemory then, this paper articulates that the ‘‘literary preaching’’ and folk songs function within Morrison’s novelistic discourse as postmemory medium that presses against the erasure and the death of a culture and history. The folk songs and ‘‘literary preaching’’ are mediums of transgenerational transmission of trauma and history. Hirsch defines postmemory as the memories that the survivors of trauma bequeathed to their children and grandchildren. Hirsch presents photographs as the instrument through which postmemory is archived and conveyed. She talks about ‘‘photographic archive’’ since photographs can bring back their referents. In comparison, the sermons and folk songs are analyzed as ‘‘oral/aural archive’’, for they have the attribute of triggering memory and postmemory. Also, through her literary preaching, Morrison deconstructs and questions mainstream Christianity by blending it with unorthodox Christian practices. For example, Baby Suggs’ sermon in Beloved gives precedence to the flesh over the spirit, and this sermon is remembered throughout the text as a subdued metaphor

An ideological representation in shakespeare's Macbeth: critical stylistic analysis of soliloquies
Critical Stylistics is a new branch of linguistics that studies ideology in literary and political texts. It relies on criteria adopted from the stylistic analysis. Thus, this paper aims to apply Jeffries’ (2009) critical stylistics model to soliloquies in Macbeth written by Shakespeare. This study also aims at analyzing two soliloquies given by the character of Macbeth using only three of the textual-conceptual functions of Jeffries’ (2009) model. These functions are: Naming and Describing; Prioritizing; and Equating and Contrasting. These functions are adopted in this study because they reveal what the speaker is representing regarding his ideology. This study follows the qualitative and quantitative approaches of analysis; the qualitative analysis of the soliloquies is intended to show how the textual-conceptual functions are used, and the quantitative analysis shows the frequency of this use. This study concludes that Shakespearean soliloquies in Macbeth are loaded with ideology and this ideology is represented by the use of naming and describing words such as assassination, dagger, ambition to represent negative and dangerous ideology; furthermore, prioritizing some instances such as his murderer to contradict what is supposed to be the case.

Semantic deviation in Arabic and English proverbs of love
Proverbs are a type of idiomatic expressions that are commonly used in everyday spoken language. They concisely and figuratively summarize everyday experiences and common observations (Borowska, 2014). The proverbs of love often contain various stylistic features that are worthy of analysis. The present paper hypothesizes that semantic deviations in the Arabic and English proverbs of love facilitate pleasurable and enjoyable delivery of the didactic messages conveyed by these proverbs and maximize their persuasive effects. Semantic deviations (such as simile, metaphor, metonymy and synecdoche) represent an important type of stylistic deviation in proverbs because of their figurative features and aesthetic values. Such stylistic devices make the content of these proverbs more appealing the audience and maximize the persuasive effect of their contents. This study examined 50 proverbs of love (25 in each language) from stylistic perspective, based on the semantic deviation model developed by Leech (1969). The analysis showed that the extensive use of various types of semantic deviations maximize the persuasive effects, and eventually efficient transmission of cultural wisdom. Additionally, such deviations were found to reinforce and facilitates the pleasurable delivery of the didactic function of proverbs
Source characteristics of Ayyub’s work “sharhi masnaviyi mawlavi”
Manuscript No. 2225 is kept in the fund of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Rayhon Beruni of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This manuscript is an excellent commentary on Jalaliddin Rumi's “Masnaviyi Manaviy” and contains six books. The commentary is called “Sharhi Masnaviyi Mawlavi” by Ayyub. The commentary explains some of Masnavi's words, as well as stories about Rumi's life and teachings. Some of the stories are narrated by the narrator himself. At the beginning of each comment or story that Ayyub gave, he noted the source from which that information was obtained. In interpreting the Masnavi, the commentator used the following works: Abdurahman Jami's Naynama, Yusuf and Zulayha, Nafahotu-l-uns, Ahmad Afloki's “Manoqibu-l-Arifin”, Sheikh Abdurahim Bihari's “Kashfu-l-lugat va -l istilohot”. In some verses of the Masnavi, a word or phrase from the verses of the Qur'an is quoted. The commentator explains this verse in full in the commentary, sometimes after giving a sentence of the verse. In his Masnavi, Rumi refers to the Hadiths or any event in the history of the prophets. Ayyub gives that Hadith or incident in full and then goes on to comment on it
