Assessment of Water Quality: A Study of Godavari and Krishna River Basin in Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra, India
Full text linkThis study focuses on the assessment of water quality in the Godavari and Krishna rivers in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, India. Water pollution is a critical global problem with serious consequences arising from contamination of water bodies. Major contributors to water pollution include domestic sewage, agricultural waste, population growth, and urbanization. Natural processes such as soil weathering, rainfall, and erosion also affect water quality. In Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, an investigation of the Godavari and Krishna rivers revealed significant contamination, mainly due to domestic wastewater. The main parameters indicating pollution include HCO, Ca, Cl, F, K, Mg, Na, NO3- and SO42- ions, in addition to electrical conductivity (EC), pH, sodium adsorption rate (SAR), total hardness, and total alkalinity. According to the Brown classification method, water quality is categorized into five classes: Excellent, Good, Poor, Very Poor, and Unfit for consumption. The study found that water quality at sampling stations such as Arangaon, Bhitkewadi, Ghodegaon, Ghogaraonkari, Ghotan, Jakhangaon and Takalikazi was excellent. Stations such as Ambikhalsa, Bote, Devlali, Jamkhed, Rahata, Shirasgaon and Shrigonda had good water quality. However, stations at Banpimpri, Chandanpuri, Ghargaon, Jamkhed, Khosepuri, Kokangaon, LoniPravarnagar, Rassin and Takalibhan had poor water quality. Notably, water quality at Supe was very poor and Dahigaon was unfit for drinking, containing heavy metals, pesticides and faecal matter. This study highlights the immediate need for an action plan to reduce pollution and safeguard water quality in these vital rivers. These findings emphasize the importance of continuous monitoring and intervention strategies to ensure the sustainability of the Godavari and Krishna Rivers
Soil Moisture Estimation by GNSS-IR from Active Stations: Case Study – RBMC/IBGE, UFPR Station
Full text linkThe Earth is a dynamic planet subject to numerous natural phenomena and processes that human activities have intensified. Monitoring variables associated with these phenomena is essential. Soil moisture, for example, plays a crucial role in climate systems, agriculture, and the hydrological cycle. The Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) is one of the Geodesy tools used for monitoring the Earth, through which the GNSS Interferometric Reflectometry (GNSS-IR) technique can be employed to estimate soil moisture. In this study, the UFPR station, part of the Brazilian Continuous Monitoring Network of GNSS Systems (RBMC) was selected for investigation. A Python script was developed to automate the preparation of GNSS data from any RBMC station. Different processing configurations of a reflectometric algorithm were evaluated, resulting in a set of time series of soil moisture for 2022. Results indicate that configurations adapted to the station’s local conditions contribute to the enhancement of the results. The best signal among the 24 evaluated was theprecise signal from the L2 frequency of GLONASS (RS2P). Peaks in precipitation were aligned with peaks in soil moisture, with soil moisture ranging from 0 to 0.35 m³/m³. The results support the development of a methodology for monitoring soil moisture in the vicinity of GNSS-RBMC stations that meet GNSS-IR requirements, expanding the potential applications of this network

O estágio supervisionado nos cadernos de formação RBCE: uma revisão das produções entre 2009 a 2016
Full text linkO presente artigo versa sobre o Estágio Supervisionado na Formação de Professores em Educação Física escolar, e buscou-se realizar uma pesquisa documental, que revisou a produção dos Cadernos de Formação da Revista Brasileira de Ciências do Esporte (RBCE), entre os anos de 2009 a 2016. Justifica-se esse recorte temporal das produções em razão de três documentos que demarcam políticas publicas educacionais de caráter da inclusão étnica e racial: Resolução CNE CP 01/2004, que estabelece as Diretrizes Curriculares para o ensino de História da África e de conteúdos afrobrasileiros (2013); Lei Federal nº 13.146/2015, que institui a política de inclusão e o estatuto da Pessoa com Deficiência; Resolução CNE CP 02/2015, que reestrutura os currículos dos cursos de licenciatura. Investigou-se na produção deste supracitado periódico, sobretudo, o objeto temático Estágio Supervisionado nos Cursos de Licenciatura em Educação Física, e selecionamos artigos no período de 2009 a 2016, através da leitura de título, resumo e referência bibliográfica; verificamos a existência de citações relacionadas à política de inclusão social
Aprender a angustiar-se na paciência
Full text linkWhen we touch one text or the soul of the other, we are touching something that has the same texture. In the poetic pessoana, the soul has the same constitution of the word. In the same way as a text can be veiled to the interpreter, a soul can also be veiled to an observer. In the vicinity of this veiling, we despair through the fragility of our own limit that is unable of interpreting the wordsoul. To alleviate the despair that competes with the anguish, we often use the assumptions established by methodology or epistemology. However, such valency drives us away from the simple possibility of seeing and takes our despair to a state of momentary latency. The waiting in patience is a resistance that can protect us from the established hermeneutic designs, letting the soul itself experience a new possibility of interpreting / seeing that is uncovered in the listening to the freedom of anguish.Quando tocamos a leitura de um texto ou da alma do outro, estamos tocando algo que possui a mesma textura. Na poética pessoana, a alma possui a mesma constituição da palavra. Da mesma forma que um texto pode se velar ao intérprete, a alma também pode velar-se sutilmente diante do observador. Nas cercanias desse velamento, desesperamo-nos mediante a fragilidade do nosso próprio limite que se mostra incapaz de interpretar a palavralma. Para amainar a desesperação que concorre com a angústia, valemo-nos habitualmente dos pressupostos estabelecidos pela metodologia ou epistemologia. Entretanto, tal valência nos demove da simples possibilidade de ver e conduz a nossa desesperação apenas a um estado de momentânea latência. A espera na paciência é a resistência que pode nos resguardar dos desígnios hermenêuticos estabelecidos, deixando que a própria alma vivencie uma nova possibilidade de interpretar/ver que se descortina na escuta da liberdade da angústia

Full text linkThis article purpose to meditate over clinical listening by another route of comprehension that could diverge from technics, which often guides it in the modern world as it makes part of the psychological discipline. For that, we resort to Edoardo Bizzarri\u27s statement, Guimarães Rosa\u27s Italian translator, in the intent to unveil the unit or belonging that the occupations of translator and clinical have with a sphere of existence itself, which is the need of comprehension and interpretation. Following that route makes it clear another relation with language, that pass through and directs both occupations. Therefore, makes it necessary to retake an original understanding about language that could serve us as a guide and conductor on our own clinical listening. On this recapture, we assume the poetical character of psychological clinic.O presente artigo tem como objetivo propor um outro caminho de compreensão para refletirmos sobre a escuta clínica, divergindo de um encaminhamento técnico, ao qual ela tende a estar envolvida no mundo moderno, como propriedade da disciplina psicológica. Nesse sentido, recorremos a uma fala de Edoardo Bizzarri, tradutor italiano de Guimarães Rosa, com o intuito de expormos a unidade ou pertencimento destes ofícios, o tradutor e o clínico, a um âmbito próprio à existência, onde impera sempre certa compreensão e interpretação. Seguindo este caminho, faz-se evidente, então, uma relação outra com a linguagem, que perpassa e encaminha tais ofícios, de tal modo que se faz necessária a retomada de uma compreensão mais originária sobre a linguagem, que haverá de nos servir como guia ou condutor de nossa escuta clínica. Nesta retomada, assumimos a clínica em seu caráter poético
Partitioned Variance Analysis of Dengue Incidence in Rio de Janeiro City: Exploring the Impact of Urban Thermal Structure and Neighborhood Clustering
Full text linkThis study investigates the spatial distribution of dengue cases in the city of Rio de Janeiro by employing neighborhood-level partitioned variance analysis, k-means clustering, and multivariate linear regression modeling. By analyzing weekly dengue case reports from the Brazilian Ministry of Health alongside meteorological data from AlertaRio mesonet stations, we reveal a significant correlation between urban thermal structures—specifically the Urban Heat Island (UHI)—and dengue incidence. Notably, increases in daily maximum and minimum temperatures precede peaks in dengue cases by up to one week, indicating a potential influence of urban heat on dengue transmission and severity. The variance analysis identifies four distinct neighborhood clusters, each accounting for a substantial portion of the total variance in dengue incidence, with a confidence level exceeding 90%. These findings highlight the intricate interplay between urban environments, local climate patterns, and the proliferation of vector-borne diseases such as dengue. Furthermore, they underscore how critical socio-economic factors, such as inadequate infrastructure and limited access to healthcare, exacerbate community vulnerability. This study emphasizes the need for integrated urban planning and public health strategies to mitigate health risks associated with UHI, ultimately enhancing resilience against vector-borne diseases in densely populated urban areas
“Progresso” e desumanização no romance \u27A morte e o meteoro\u27 (2019), de Joca Reiners Terron
No full textEste estudo tem por finalidade compreender, a partir do texto literário, as contradições presentes no que muitos entendem como “progresso” e como a busca desenfreada por ele resulta na exploração da vida das pessoas, a negligência com elas e sua consequente desumanização. Assim, propõe uma análise do romance A morte e o meteoro, de Joca Reiners Terron, publicado pela primeira vez em 2019, que exemplifica bem essa problemática. A narrativa representa os males do processo de colonização na Terra, responsável por prejudicar fortemente ou destruir inúmeras culturas e civilizações, mas também faz um paralelo entre esse problema e uma possível colonização de Marte, o que leva o leitor a se perguntar por que, com tantos problemas ainda a serem resolvidos na Terra, já se busca colonizar outro planeta. Por meio de metodologia bibliográfica e comparativa, partindo do conceito de “outro”, desenvolvido por Todorov em A conquista da América: a questão do outro (1993) e que é descrito no livro Conceitos-chave da teoria pós-colonial (2005), de Thomas Bonnici, busca-se o entendimento de como, e por que, no livro de Terron, os povos originários são vistos como alienígenas em seu próprio mundo, chegando até mesmo a serem utilizados como cobaias, em prol do “avanço” científico, por aqueles que dizem protegê-los.

O amor dos eremitas na Antonias de Maffeo Vegio
Full text linkThe aim of this article is to analyse the depiction of love in the Renaissance epic Antoniad by Maffeo Vegio. In the work, the epic tale of love between the hero and his beloved is transformed into a platonic bond between two hermits – Saint Paul and Saint Anthony. The spiritual love of the hermits reflects Divine love and attests to their sanctity. This portrayal of the hermits’ love partly arises from the Christian reinterpretation of the epic genre, which viewed the Aeneid as a path to virtue. However, the description of the relationship between the monks includes substantial imagery borrowed from love elegy. The Antoniad also draws on medieval readings of Virgil’s work as a story of Aeneas’ romantic love for Dido. Vegio thus reinterprets the epic genre in the spirit of Christian humanism, creating a hagiographic epic tailored to the sensibilities of his time.O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a representação do amor na Antonias, poema épico renascentista de Maffeo Vegio. A obra transforma a tradicional narrativa épica de um amor romântico entre o herói e sua amada em um vínculo platônico entre dois eremitas, São Paulo e Santo Antônio. Esse amor espiritual, símbolo do amor divino, torna-se uma expressão da santidade dos protagonistas. A representação do amor entre os eremitas reflete uma reinterpretação cristã do gênero épico, que, na Eneida, identificava um caminho em direção à virtude. Ao mesmo tempo, porém, a descrição da relação entre os monges revela influências claras da elegia amorosa. A Antonias também se inspira nas leituras medievais da obra de Virgílio, especialmente como narrativa do amor romântico entre Eneias e Dido. Dessa forma, Vegio reformula o gênero épico no espírito do humanismo cristão, criando uma epopeia hagiográfica perfeitamente alinhada aos valores e sensibilidades de sua época

Full text linkAs plataformas estão transformando a sociedade, a economia e a política e se tornando infraestruturas essenciais de nossas vidas. Dessa forma, os espaços digitais se sobrepõem a outras espacialidades, especialmente às áreas urbanas. Esse processo não é pacífico, mas gera gargalos, resistências e oposições. Neste artigo, propomos combinar estudos de plataforma com estudos de infraestrutura para enquadrar a capacidade dessas empresas de construir novos ambientes urbanos pós-industriais. Concentramo-nos nos possíveis conflitos que surgem em face da crescente plataformização e esboçamos os contornos de uma contra-política de plataformas
