A conceptual framework for a symbiotic integration of generative AI in post-secondary technical and vocational education and training (TVET): Bridging pedagogy, technology, and ethics
Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is poised to reshape Post-Secondary Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), a sector critical for aligning formal education with industry demands. While the potential of GenAI is widely discussed, the literature lacks a holistic framework to guide its strategic and ethically sound integration. This paper addresses this gap by synthesizing existing research to develop a novel conceptual model for the symbiotic integration of GenAI in TVET.
This study employs an integrative literature review methodology. A purposive selection of recent, peer-reviewed literature (post-2020) was analyzed to synthesize key opportunities, such as hyper-personalized learning and immersive training, alongside significant systemic barriers, including infrastructural constraints, AI literacy gaps, and ethical risks. These insights were then structured into a multi-layered conceptual framework.
The review identifies three core domains of GenAI's impact: the evolution of pedagogy from standardization to personalization, the enhancement of learner engagement, and the reconceptualization of skills assessment. To navigate the complexities of implementation, the paper proposes the «Integrated Symbiotic Model». This model reframes GenAI integration as a collaborative «teacher-machine-student» ecosystem, structured across four interdependent layers: (1) foundational enablers (infrastructure, policy, AI literacy), (2) the core triad of actors (learner, educator, AI), (3) core pedagogical processes, and (4) the central objective of enhanced workforce readiness.
The primary contribution of this paper is the « Integrated Symbiotic Model », a novel framework designed to guide institutional leaders and educators in the strategic and ethically-grounded integration of GenAI. It moves beyond traditional technology adoption models to offer a pedagogically-focused, systemic roadmap for transforming TVET in the age of AI.

Measuring and Managing Positive and Negative Externalities of New Business Creation: Toward Sustainable Entrepreneurial Ecosystems
The creation of new businesses is a fundamental driver of contemporary economies, yet its societal impacts extend beyond the firm level. This study examines the positive and negative externalities generated by entrepreneurship, focusing on economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Drawing on recent empirical evidence, international reports, and policy analyses, a conceptual framework is proposed to assess and manage these externalities. Results indicate that while entrepreneurship stimulates job creation, innovation, and social inclusion, it can also generate precarious work, environmental pressures, and regional disparities. The study emphasizes the context-dependent nature of entrepreneurial impacts and provides recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders to maximize positive outcomes while mitigating negative effects. This research contributes to a better understanding of how entrepreneurship can promote sustainable and inclusive growth, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 8 and SDG 9).

In an environment characterized by rapid technological change and increasing national and international competition, SMEs must strengthen their entrepreneurial dynamic (ED) to ensure survival and growth. According to Miller (1983), an entrepreneurial firm is one that “engages in product-market innovation, undertakes somewhat risky projects, and is the first to introduce proactive innovations, outpacing competitors” (Chabaud et al., 2008, p. 6). The main objective of this article is to assess the ED of Moroccan SMEs based on three criteria: innovation capacity, risk-taking, and proactivity. To this end, a survey was conducted among 115 Moroccan SMEs. The results of a descriptive analysis, based on the calculation of indicator averages, reveal an overall low level of ED. Specifically, 37% of SMEs show a very low level, 31% an average level, 23% a moderately high level, while only 8% reach a very high level. More precisely, only 9% of SMEs demonstrate strong innovation and proactivity, while nearly half display a very low level. Regarding risk-taking, 7% achieve a high level, compared to 57% distributed between medium and very low levels. These findings highlight the need to strengthen the ED of Moroccan SMEs, particularly in terms of innovation, proactivity, and risk-taking. Finally, the study acknowledges its limitations, notably the small sample size, which prevents broad generalization. Future research could explore managerial levers and tools likely to enhance this dynamic within Moroccan SMEs.

This article offers an in-depth analysis of the debt-financing behavior of Moroccan family-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), focusing on the perceptions, attitudes, and strategic choices of their leaders when considering bank borrowing. The primary goal is to identify not only the factors that encourage these firms to take on debt but also the barriers that discourage them from using bank credit.
To address this objective, the study adopts an exploratory qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews conducted with a selected sample of 9 family-owned SMEs located in the Marrakech–Safi region. This method provides rich, context-sensitive data and makes it possible to capture the decision-making logic of these businesses beyond what purely quantitative financial indicators can reveal.
The findings of the thematic analysis show that the financial behavior of Moroccan family SMEs aligns closely with the predictions of the Pecking-Order Theory of capital structure. In practice, these companies strongly prefer internal financing through retained earnings as their first option. When additional resources are required, they turn next to debt financing, while deliberately avoiding opening their equity to outside investors in order to maintain both ownership control and the family’s influence over strategic decisions.
Furthermore, the study highlights that their financing decisions are shaped by a combination of economic and non-economic considerations. Economic factors include the cost of credit, collateral requirements, and repayment capacity. Equally important are non-economic drivers such as risk aversion, concern for preserving family reputation, adherence to religious norms, and a deliberate commitment to retaining strong family control over the business.
Overall, this research provides valuable insights into the financial and socio-emotional determinants of debt decisions in Moroccan family-owned SMEs. By uncovering the interplay between economic constraints and family-centered values, it contributes to a deeper understanding of how these enterprises construct their financing strategies and manage their long-term growth while safeguarding family legacy and authority.

In an economic and organizational context marked by rapid digitalization, intensified competition, and evolving employee expectations, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a major strategic lever for organizational transformation. Initially focused on industrial and logistical functions, its scope of application has now expanded to human resource management (HRM), where it is profoundly reshaping practices and operational models. The integration of AI into HRM enables the automation of repetitive and time-consuming tasks, such as resume screening and shortlisting, leave management, and payroll processing. Beyond this operational dimension, AI also strengthens the strategic role of HR through predictive analytics, which can anticipate employee turnover, assess development potential, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Recommendation systems and natural language processing (NLP) further offer new possibilities for personalizing learning paths, enhancing the employee experience, and fostering organizational engagement. Thus, AI goes beyond mere process optimization; it acts as a driver of modernization and innovation in talent management. It paves the way for more objective, data-driven decision-making, while also raising ethical and organizational challenges related to transparency, fairness, and employee acceptance. This article presents an integrative literature review that combines quantitative, qualitative, and theoretical studies to analyze the impact of artificial intelligence on the transformation and modernization of HRM practices, highlighting its contributions, limitations, and the prospects it offers for the future of businesses.
Classification JEL : O15, Q55.

This paper studies the influence of the business environment on the relationship between growth strategies and value creation in Congolese SMEs. It brings together theories of contingency, resources and dynamic capabilities which emphasize that value creation does not only results from internal initiatives but also depends on the characteristics of the external environment in which SMEs operate. The study is based on an interpretative qualitative approach based on four cases of Congolese SMEs located in Kinshasa. The speeches collected using a semi-structured interview guide were processed hermeneutically by combining them with lexical analysis by occurrence. The results revealed that a hostile environment characterized by institutional instability, tax pressure and corruption, limits the impact of growth strategies on value creation in the SMEs studied. On the other hand, a dynamic environment, rich in opportunities, acts as a catalyst provided that the SMEs concerned adequately mobilize internal resources. Results that confirm the selective nature of the business environment to moderate the effects of growth strategies on value creation. The study encourages SME managers to transform environmental challenges into sustainable opportunities for innovation. This paves the way for future research that will have to focus on a large sample of SMEs and choose mixed methods for greater robustness and generalizability of the results.

Faced with the dilemma of choosing the most effective ownership model to improve corporate financial performance, most researchers advocate for the superior performance of private enterprises over public ones. However, other empirical studies suggest that private ownership or privatization does not systematically lead to the desired level of performance.
In this context, the modernization of public management—drawing inspiration from private sector practices—remains essential, especially in strategic sectors, notably through corporatization and the strengthening of the State’s shareholder function. This article is based on a narrative literature review that aims to compare empirical findings on the performance of public versus private enterprises. It seeks to understand to what extent ownership structure, along with other underlying factors, influences financial performance, and to analyze the Moroccan experience by exploring the role that the State as shareholder can play in the strategic management of public assets to optimize performance.

Revisiting Asset-Backed Securitization in the Digital Era: The Role of Blockchain and Tokenization
Amid the ongoing digital transformation, blockchain technology has emerged as a key innovation in the financial sector. One of its most promising applications is asset tokenization, which enables the digital representation and fractional ownership of financial assets.
This study explores how the blockchain and asset tokenization can enhance the Asset-Backed Securitization process. In our research, we conduct a comprehensive literature review and present a case study highlighting the adoption of blockchain technology in financial institutions for securitization purposes. Based on these insights, we propose an ABS to incorporate blockchain and tokenization into the securitization process by increasing transparency, operational efficiency, and acceptability for investors.
Our findings show that this technological approach can significantly enhance the performance of ABS by reducing operational risks, improving data integrity, and promotes boarder investor participation through fractionalization. It contributes to a more resilient and inclusive financial system.
