In a context marked by the rapid expansion of information and communication technologies (ICT) within Moroccan universities, academic staff are facing new professional demands. The growing integration of digital tools into teaching and research practices is transforming working methods, raising questions about its impact on well-being in the workplace. Among the negative effects associated with this digital transition, technostress—stress induced by the use of technology—emerges as a significant concern.
This article investigates the influence of digital competencies on technostress among Moroccan higher education faculty members. A qualitative approach was adopted, based on semi-structured interviews conducted with 16 academic staff members from three Moroccan universities. The analysis reveals that the overall level of digital skills among participants is moderate. These competencies are mainly focused on basic office software and information transmission tools, with limited proficiency in more advanced applications such as data analysis, online collaboration platforms, or complex digital systems. This limited skill set contributes to a high level of technostress, manifested through cognitive overload, a sense of technological inadequacy, and the encroachment of digital tools into personal time and space.
The findings highlight the importance of implementing targeted continuing education programs, as well as institutional support mechanisms, to help academic staff navigate the digital transition more effectively and safeguard their professional well-being in an increasingly digital academic environment.

Productivity Paper type: Empirical research.

A conceptual framework for integrating Robotic Process Automation in logistics audits and supply chain management
Digital transformation has become a central theme in logistics auditing, especially with the increasing importance of digital technology in the organizational and societal environments. This study is based on an integrative literature review to propose a conceptual framework for integrating Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into logistics audits, aiming to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and strategic decision-making. The framework is structured around five stages: Requirements Analysis, Performance Analysis, Process Analysis, Structural Analysis, and Comparative Analysis. Each step of the conceptual framework is inspired by traditional audit methodologies, such as needs analysis, performance analysis, process analysis, structural analysis, and benchmarking. It leverages the capabilities of RPA to automate repetitive tasks, enhance data integrity, and instantly provide real-time process analyses on an annual basis. The findings highlight that RPA significantly enhances resilience and transparency in the supply chain by automating tasks related to invoice verification, shipment tracking, and compliance monitoring. However, organizational readiness and technological infrastructure could affect the applicability of the framework. The degree of difficulty in RPA amplitude integration with existing systems also contributes to the limitations placed on the framework's adoption. All of these reservations indicate the continued need for empirical studies to put the framework through its paces in various organizational contexts. From the viewpoint of practical contributions, the study provides actionable guidelines for organizations to implement RPA in logistics audits, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder alignment, continuous monitoring, and benchmarking against industry standards. The theoretical contribution lies in bridging the gap between RPA and auditing practices, offering a structured approach that combines traditional auditing methods with cutting-edge automation technologies.

This article examines the implementation conditions of cost accounting (CA) in a Moroccan public hospital (SEGMA), through a case study of a medical imaging department. In a context of health system reform and the expansion of Mandatory Health Insurance (AMO), controlling hospital costs has become a strategic issue. The objective of this research is to analyze the benefits, obstacles, and enablers of analytical cost management in a transitioning hospital environment. To achieve this, a mixed-method approach was used, combining an analysis of direct and indirect costs associated with medical procedures and semi-structured interviews conducted with healthcare professionals. This dual approach allows for the cross-referencing of financial data with the perceptions of hospital actors. Quantitative results reveal a significant imbalance between production costs and AMO reimbursement rates, with losses recorded for several procedures (notably MRI and ultrasound). The study also shows that the depreciation costs of equipment and buildings place a substantial burden on the department’s budget. Qualitative data indicate that cost accounting remains largely unfamiliar to medical professionals, most of whom were trained without a management-oriented perspective. Major barriers persist, such as the lack of training, resistance to change, and weak interdepartmental coordination. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of cost accounting as a lever for performance and financial sustainability in the hospital sector. It advocates for a broader adoption of this tool in public health institutions, through targeted training programs, modernization of information systems, and better integration between clinical, administrative, and financial dimensions.

In a context characterized by the scarcity of public resources and the need to modernize infrastructure, Public-Private Partnerships have emerged as a strategic alternative that reconciles economic efficiency with the public interest. This study presents a theoretical and empirical literature review on PPPs in the infrastructure sector, drawing on key conceptual foundations as well as a set of case analyses at both international and Moroccan levels. It highlights, on the one hand, the contributions of PPPs in terms of financing, management, and infrastructure project performance, and on the other hand, the challenges related to contractual governance, risk allocation, and access inequalities. Through diverse examples, the study emphasizes that the success of PPPs largely depends on the quality of the institutional, legal, and organizational framework in which they are implemented. It thus offers a critical and structured perspective on the role PPPs can play in the sustainable development of infrastructure, with a particular focus on Morocco’s experience.

While satisfaction has long been used as a key relational indicator, it appears insufficient to capture the full complexity of customer relationships, particularly in the context of education. This study explores how language centers in Morocco can shift from a satisfaction-driven approach to a more engagement-oriented model in managing student relationships. A qualitative methodology was employed, through a focus group consisting of 12 professionals, guided by a semi-structured interview protocol and with data analyzed using ATLAS.ti software. Findings reveal that student engagement encompasses affective, cognitive, and behavioral dimensions and can be fostered through organizational and staff-driven practices. Moreover, the study highlights relational outcomes of engagement, such as loyalty and value co-creation. By shedding light on the dynamics of engagement within educational services, the study contributes to the academic literature and offers practical insights for institutions aiming to build deeper, more meaningful relationships with their students.
Classification JEL: M31

Public Debt: Facilitator or barrier? A literature review of its impact on economic growth
The sharp rise of public debt over the past years has renewed the debate about its impact on economic growth. This article provides a review of the main theoretical and empirical perspectives, highlighting the Keynesian, classical and threshold-based approaches. While Keynesian studies emphasize the potential of public debt to stimulate growth when used to finance productive investments during downturns, classical view warns against the risks of excessive borrowing, including crowding out and fiscal instability. Threshold-based perspective, suggest a non-linear relationship, suggesting that debt supports growth at moderate levels but becomes harmful when certain limits are exceeded.
Empirical evidence from advances, emerging and low-income economies, including recent findings from Africa, the MENA region and Europe, shows that the impact of public debt on economic growth varies considerably, depending on internal and external factors such as institutional quality, fiscal policy frameworks and macroeconomic conditions. The often cited 90% debt-to-GDP ratio found by Reinhart and Rogoff, illustrates the importance of identifying critical levels at which debt starts impacting negatively growth. However, as the reviewed studies reveal, such thresholds are not universal and unique, their effects vary between countries, and depend on many factors. The findings suggest that public debt can support economic growth when managed prudently and used to finance productive investments, but can be harmful when mismanaged or accumulated.

A conceptual framework for a symbiotic integration of generative AI in post-secondary technical and vocational education and training (TVET): Bridging pedagogy, technology, and ethics
Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is poised to reshape Post-Secondary Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), a sector critical for aligning formal education with industry demands. While the potential of GenAI is widely discussed, the literature lacks a holistic framework to guide its strategic and ethically sound integration. This paper addresses this gap by synthesizing existing research to develop a novel conceptual model for the symbiotic integration of GenAI in TVET.
This study employs an integrative literature review methodology. A purposive selection of recent, peer-reviewed literature (post-2020) was analyzed to synthesize key opportunities, such as hyper-personalized learning and immersive training, alongside significant systemic barriers, including infrastructural constraints, AI literacy gaps, and ethical risks. These insights were then structured into a multi-layered conceptual framework.
The review identifies three core domains of GenAI's impact: the evolution of pedagogy from standardization to personalization, the enhancement of learner engagement, and the reconceptualization of skills assessment. To navigate the complexities of implementation, the paper proposes the «Integrated Symbiotic Model». This model reframes GenAI integration as a collaborative «teacher-machine-student» ecosystem, structured across four interdependent layers: (1) foundational enablers (infrastructure, policy, AI literacy), (2) the core triad of actors (learner, educator, AI), (3) core pedagogical processes, and (4) the central objective of enhanced workforce readiness.
The primary contribution of this paper is the « Integrated Symbiotic Model », a novel framework designed to guide institutional leaders and educators in the strategic and ethically-grounded integration of GenAI. It moves beyond traditional technology adoption models to offer a pedagogically-focused, systemic roadmap for transforming TVET in the age of AI.

In a constantly evolving market, where competition among companies is intense, the adoption of artificial intelligence has become an essential requirement to ensure the sustainability of any business. To illustrate research in this field, we based our study on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Social Influence Theory as the theoretical foundation of our article. These frameworks demonstrate how technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and chatbots enhance interactions with consumers. Such technologies increase both emotional and cognitive engagement, thereby promoting purchase intentions and brand loyalty. Based on a sample of 108 respondents and using a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach, the study analyzes the mediating role of satisfaction and experience in the relationship between AI and engagement. The analyses reveal a significant and positive influence of AI on satisfaction and engagement. The study also highlights the methodological improvement achieved after removing the "Experience" variable, which showed low reliability. This removal strengthened the explanatory power of the model.
