Democracy in Divided Societies: Electoral Engineering for Conflict Management “Chapter 3 Centripetal Incentives and Political Engineering in Australia”
Benjamin Reilly is a professor of political science and international relations at the University of Western Australia. Benjamin previously served as dean of the Sir Walter Murdoch School and was director of the Centre for democratic institutions at the Australian National University (ANU). Benjamin is also an expert in the Australian government, the United Nations, and other international organizations. As a professor of political science, Benjamin was invited to various scientific forums to speak at well-known campuses, such as Harvard, Oxford, and Johns Hopkins. Publicizing scientific papers and books earned Benjamin numerous international grants from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the United StatesInstitute of Peace, the East-West Center, the National Endowment for Democracy, and the Australian Research Council. Benjamin’s ideas and thoughts were widely published in various international and national newspapers, including the New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and Time Magazine
Peran Virtual Experiential Marketing dan Brand Trust terhadap Brand Loyalty: Peran Virtual Experiential Marketing dan Brand Trust terhadap Brand Loyalty
The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of virtual experiential marketing and brand trust in brand loyalty among virtual try-on cosmetic filter users in Indonesia. An online tool made using Google Forms and shared on social media was used to perform the research. SEM-PLS was the statistical method employed to examine 287 convenience sample data. The results showed that virtual experiential marketing has a positive impact on brand loyalty, and brand trust has a positive impact on brand loyalty. The study recommends the most effective indicators of virtual experiential marketing, identifying external factors that influence a cosmetics brand's strategy in Indonesia in forming trust and loyalty, and using the virtual try-on filter feature to build trust through positive virtual experiences.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peran Virtual Experiental Marketing dan Brand Trust pada Brand Loyalty, Pengguna Virtual Try On Filter kosmentik di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan Instrumen online dibuat melalui Google Formulir dan dipublikasikan di media social. Teknik statistic yang digunakan adalah SEM-PLS untuk menganalisis 287 data dengan menggunakan convenience sampling. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Virtual Experiental Marketing berdampak positive pada Brand Loyalty, dan Brand Trust memiliki dampak positive pada Brand Loyalty. Membangun Kepercayaan terhadap Sistem Pendukung Pendidikan berbasis Kecerdasan Buatan: Sebuah Review Naratif
A primary challenge associated with the implementation of educational support systems is the establishment of student trust in the systems themselves. Trust is a critical factor in the acceptance and use of AI-enabled systems, as it reduces uncertainty and the perception of risk associated with new technology adoption. A literature review of existing studies on trust in AI-based systems is needed to provide a solid foundation for future studies. This research aims to identify gaps in the literature regarding the establishment of user trust in AI-based educational systems by exploring the criteria of trust and the challenges of building trust in AI systems. A narrative review of the literature is conducted to synthesize the findings of selected articles, covering (1) fundamental principles of trust and the process of establishing trust in non-human entities; (2) technical issues relating to explainable AI; (3) the utilization of explainable AI to facilitate decision-making; and (4) the use of AI systems in facilitating educational activities and its influence. This article summarizes trust criteria, including reliance, transparency, affectiveness, integrity, consistency, fairness, accountability, security, and usability. Building trust in AI systems involves addressing technical, ethical, and societal challenges to ensure the responsible and beneficial use of AI for individuals and society.Sistem pendukung pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan buatan memiliki peranan penting dalam menyediakan dukungan yang optimal untuk meningkatkan kesuksesan belajar peserta didik, khususnya di lingkungan pendidikan terbuka dan pendidikan jarak jauh. Dalam implementasinya,masih terdapat isu kepercayaan terhadap strategi yang diberikan oleh sistem, sehingga pemanfaatannya masih belum berdampak signifikan pada peningkatan kesuksesan studi. Review naratif ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi aspek filosofis, etika, dan teknis yang berpengaruh pada pembangunan kepercayaan peserta didik terhadap sistem pendukung pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan buatan. Hasil yang diberikan memberikan pandangan dan arahan yang komprehensif untuk riset di bidang ini.

This paper assesses the reliability of photovoltaic systems within a microgrid, considering the system's operational mode and monthly data on solar radiation and load demand. The evaluation encompasses various reliability metrics, including microgrid failure rate, interruption duration, system unavailability, EENS, EIR, LOLE, and LOLP, with the objective of minimizing these parameters. The methodologies applied involve the Markov model and artificial intelligence algorithms such as Naive Bayes and Support Vector Machine (SVM). Results indicate that the microgrid exhibits enhanced reliability in an on-grid mode configuration, with a LOLP value of 0.0008. Furthermore, employing machine learning, specifically SVM, for LOLP calculation based on solar radiation yields a more precise value of 0.7245. Pemanfaatan Sarana Prasarana Olahraga Oleh Guru Pendidikan Jasmani Dalam Hubungannya Dengan Proses Belalar Mengajar
The smooth learning of sports and health physical education is inseparable from the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure. The existence of adequate facilities and infrastructure will reflect the quality of education, so that the goals of sports and health physical education will be achieved properly. But on the contrary, inadequate facilities and infrastructure will have an impact on the low quality of education, even the curriculum will not work. The method used is descriptive method. This research begins with observations made in schools. Data collection was carried out by giving questionnaires to predetermined respondents. The findings of this study mean the value of infrastructure utilization for the first respondent is 3.83, the second respondent is 3.60, and the third respondent is 3.80 with a standard deviation for the first respondent 1.58, the second respondent is 1.52 and the third respondent is 1.42. The result of the homogeneity test for the significance number is 0.642, meaning that H1 is acceptable and the data comes from a homogeneous population. The normality test results with a significance value of 0.00 means that H0 is rejected and the data has an abnormal distribution. The results of the hypothesis test using the Kruskal Wallis test with a significance number of 0.684 means that H1 is acceptable and there are significant differences in the ability of teachers to use physical education facilities and infrastructure. Based on the calculation data using the Tuckey test, respondents 1 and 2 have an average difference of 0.233 with a presentation of 23%, respondents 1 and 3 have an average difference of 0.33 with a presentation of 33%, and respondents 2 and 3 have an average of -0, 2 with a presentation - 20% has a P value. The value of respondents 1 and 2 is .821, respondents 1 and 3 are .996, and respondents 2 and 3 are .865 make all the data have a significant difference.Kelancaran pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan tidak terlepas dari ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai. Adanya sarana dan prasarana yang memadai akan mencerminkan kualitas pendidikan, sehingga tujuan pendidikan jasmani olahraga dan kesehatan akan tercapai dengan baik. Namun sebaliknya, sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai akan berdampak pada rendahnya kualitas pendidikan, bahkan kurikulum tidak akan berjalan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini diawali dengan observasi yang dilakukan di sekolah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian kuesioner kepada responden yang telah ditentukan. Temuan penelitian ini rata-rata nilai pemanfaatan sarana prasarana untuk responden pertama 3.83, responden kedua 3.60, dan responden ketiga 3.80 dengan standar deviasi untuk responden pertama 1.58, responden kedua 1.52 dan responden ketiga 1.42. Hasil uji homogenitas angka signifikansi adalah 0.642 artinya H1 dapat diterima dan data berasal dari populasi yang homogen. Hasil uji normalitas dengan angka signifikansi 0.00 artinya H0 ditolak dan data mempunyai penyebaran yang tidak normal. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis dengan angka signifikansi 0.684 artinya H1 dapat diterima dan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan fasilitas sarana dan prasarana pendidikan jasmani secara signifikan. Berdasarakan data penghitungan dengan uji Tuckey maka responden 1 dan 2 memiliki rata rata perbedaan 0,233 dengan presentasi 23%, responden 1 dan 3 memiliki rata-rata perbedaan 0,33 dengan presentasi 33%, dan responden 2 dan 3 memiliki rata-rata -0,2 dengan presentasi - 20% memiliki nilah P. Value responden 1 dan 2 sebanyak .821, responden 1 dan 3 sebanyak .996, dan responden 2 dan 3 sebanyak .865 menjadikan semua data tersebut memiliki perbedaan secara signifikan
DIGITAL MARKETING OF COFFEE BASED ON THE UMMA PANDE COMMUNITY IN SOUTHWEST SUMBA REGENCY, EAST NUSA TENGGARA
Some coffee farmers in Southwest Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province are members of a community known as Umma Pande (Smart House). Umma Pande symbolizes local wisdom, in which farmers have cultural ties and maintain community brotherhood even though administrative areas are separated. Community-based community empowerment with its local wisdom is interesting to study because there is local wisdom that will drive the success of community empowerment programs. Meanwhile, the obstacle faced by coffee farmers is increasing sales of coffee products outside the region. Therefore, a technology is needed, including digital marketing. Therefore, we are doing community service in three subdistricts (East Weweha, Central Weweha and West Weweha), Southeast Sumba Regency, to identify the potential and opportunities for coffee farmers to market through digital marketing. The conducted from March until November 2022. The results of identification of potential coffee plantations and farmers showed that the management of robusta coffee plantations by coffee farmers used local wisdom, namely the values or behaviour of local wisdom in interacting with the environment in which they live. Coffee farmers experience two obstacles, namely competitiveness and product connectivity. Strategi Visual Merchandising Dengan Meningkatkan Tampilan Display Tenant Fashion Studi Kasus Pada Laswee Creative Space
One of the important entities supporting creativity in Bandung is Laswee Creative Space. However, there are issues in visual merchandising, particularly in the display of fashion tenants, which appears cluttered and unattractive. Poor display arrangements can diminish the appeal and image of Laswee as a creative hub. Visual merchandising plays a crucial role in creating a unique shopping experience. The use of elements such as lighting, color, and proper product arrangement can enhance the attractiveness and effectiveness of the display. This research aims to optimize visual merchandising strategies by improving the display of fashion tenants at Laswee Creative Space. The research employs a design thinking approach that involves five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and secondary data. The collected data was then analyzed using SWOT analysis. The findings reveal that the use of mannequins in the visual merchandising strategy at Laswee Creative Space significantly impacts the shopping experience of visitors and their perception of the area as a creative hub. By designing creative and attractive mannequin displays, Laswee Creative Space can create an inspiring and captivating environment for visitors.

Penggunaan elemen seperti pencahayaan, warna, dan penataan produk yang tepat dapat meningkatkan daya tarik dan efektivitas display. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan strategi visual merchandising dengan meningkatkan tampilan display tenant fashion di Laswee Creative Space. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan design thinking yang melibatkan lima tahap empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing. Pengumpulan data yang melalui observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan data sekunder. Kemudian data yang dikumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasil yang di dapat bahwa penggunaan mannequin dalam strategi Visual Merchandising di Laswee Creative Space memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap pengalaman belanja pengunjung dan persepsi mereka terhadap kawasan tersebut sebagai pusat kreatif. Dengan merancang tampilan mannequin yang kreatif dan menarik, Laswee Creative Space dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang menginspirasi dan memikat bagi para pengunjung.

Profil Kebugaran Tim Sepakbola Putri Jawa Barat Berdasarkan Denyut Nadi Pada Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XXI Indonesia
An adequate level of physical fitness enables athletes to sustain repeated high-intensity activities, facilitate the recovery process, and maintain optimal physical condition. Regardless of the player's gender (female or male), football players need to achieve a balance in developing physiological and physical capacities. This study aims to analyze the fitness profile of the West Java women's football team that has achieved achievements in the XXI PON Aceh Sumut 2024 based on heart rate data. An observational study was applied involving 14 professional female football players (age: 21.5 ± 2.8 years) and monitoring heart rate conditions (Polar Versity Team Pro) during the match. The average percentage of overall players' heart rate during the match was 90% of the maximum heart rate. The average percentage of heart rate for defenders reached 91%, which differed from midfielders and forwarders during the entire match, reaching 88% and 89% of the maximum heart rate, respectively. The main finding of this study is that the physical fitness condition of professional female football players competing in the competition is declared fit. There was no significant difference in heart rate data from the three positions, indicating that the physical demands of female football players are relatively the same even though they have different roles and positions.Tingkat kebugaran fisik yang tepat memungkinkan atlet dalam mempertahankan aktivitas intensitas tinggi secara berulang, membantu proses pemulihan, dan menjaga kondisi fisik yang optimal. Terlepas dari jenis kelamin pemain (wanita atau pria), pemain sepak bola perlu mencapai keseimbangan dalam mengembangkan kapasitas fisiologis dan fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis profil kebugaran tim sepak bola putri Jawa Barat yang telah meraih prestasi pada PON XXI Aceh Sumut 2024 berdasarkan data denyut jantung. Penelitian observasional diterapkan dengan melibatkan 14 atlet sepak bola wanita profesional (usia: 21,5±2,8 tahun) dan melakukan pemantauan kondisi denyut jantung (Polar Versity Team Pro) selama pertandingan berlangsung. Rata – rata persentase denyut jantung keseluruhan pemain selama pertandingan adalah 90% dari denyut jantung maksimal. Persentase rata – rata denyut jantung posisi defenders mencapai 91% berbeda dengan posisi midfielders dan forwarders pada keseluruhan pertandingan mencapai 88% dan 89% dari denyut jantung maksimal. Temuan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kondisi kebugaran atlet sepak bola wanita profesional yang bertanding pada kompetisi dinyatakan bugar. Tidak ada perbedaan signifikan pada data denyut jantung dari ketiga posisi tersebut yang mengindikasikan bahwa tuntutan fisik pemain sepak bola wanita relatif sama walaupun berbeda peran dan posisi
Hydrolysis Optimization and In Vitro Anti-aging Effect of Cihateup Duck Eggshell Membrane
An altered skin morphology and physiology are the most evident signs of increasing age in humans. These changes may affect pivotal skin functions. Eggshell membrane (ESM) is an egg byproduct that is regarded as waste. Nonetheless, studies have shown its beneficial effect in preventing dermal aging. Currently, only chicken ESM has been extensively studied and is commercially available. Our study explored the potential of duck ESM, which has been overlooked. We examined the use of Cihateup duck (Anas platyrhynchos Javanica) eggshell membrane hydrolysate (ESMH) in anti-aging skincare products. Enzymatic hydrolysate of ESM was obtained by varying the papain and sodium sulfite concentrations. The optimum concentrations were used for further analysis, i.e., hyaluronic acid content, amino acid composition, antioxidant activity, and collagenase inhibition activity. The result showed that 60 U/mg of papain and 30 mM of sodium sulfite yielded a total protein of 80.18±1.47 mg/g for duck ESMH and 71.41±2.13 mg/g for chicken ESMH. In addition, duck ESMH showed higher hyaluronic acid content and different amino acid composition than chicken. Duck ESMH also showed the highest collagenase inhibition activity. In conclusion, our findings suggest that duck ESMH holds great promise for anti-aging skincare, offering better activity than chicken ESMH
The Impact of Brand Experience on Brand Loyalty: Investigating the Mediating Roles of Hedonic Value and Customer Satisfication
This study investigates the mediating roles of hedonic value and customer satisfaction in influencing the associations between brand experience and brand loyalty. Using a quantitative online survey method, we gathered 384 completed responses from young consumers currently studying at universities. Structured equation modelling and bootstrapping were used to test the hypotheses. The findings yielded significant associations between the variables. The significant mediating roles of hedonic value and customer satisfaction are worth noting. This study expands the existing literature by investigating the impact of brand experience on brand loyalty and the critical roles of hedonic value and customer satisfaction. The study findings have implications for the coffee shop owners to stimulate the overall experience of young consumers as an emerging market. The coffee shop owners can expand their business by opening more coffee shop outlets inside the higher education institutions so their coffee brand can easily reach the target market.Kajian ini menyiasat peranan nilai hedonik dan kepuasan pelanggan dalam mempengaruhi hubungan di antara pengalaman jenama dan kesetiaan jenama. Dengan menggunakan kaedah survey dalam talian secara kuantitatif, kami mengumpulkan 384 respons yang lengkap daripada pelanggan muda yang juga penuntut di universiti. Berdasarkan model dan analisa yang dijalankan, hasil kajian menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan antara pembolehubah. Peranan perantaraan yang signifikan di antara nilai hedonik dan kepuasan pelanggan adalah penting untuk diteliti. Kajian ini dapat mengembangkan literatur sedia ada dari aspek pengalaman jenama terhadap kesetiaan jenama dan peranan kritikal nilai hedonik dan kepuasan pelanggan. Dapatan kajian ini mempunyai implikasi penting bagi pemilik kedai kopi untuk merangsang pengalaman pelanggan muda sebagai pasaran yang sedang berkembang. Pemilik kedai kopi juga perlu mengembangkan perniagaan mereka dengan membuka lebih banyak cawangan kedai kopi di dalam institusi pendidikan tinggi supaya jenama kopi mereka dapat mencapai pasaran sasaran
