    Islamophobia in American Against Muslims in “My Name is Khan” Film

    This research discusses Islamophobia that occurs in America in the film "My Name is Khan". The purpose of this study is to find the main causes and consequences of the emergence of Islamophobia in America in the film "My Name is Khan" from various aspects using the theory of Bunzl and Matti (2007). The researcher found two main causes of the emergence of Islamophobia in America, namely physical violence and prejudice. The author also found various consequences of the emergence of Islamophobia in three main aspects, namely social, economic, and psychological. This research uses a qualitative method where the data does not contain numbers and is taken from written and spoken data. The results of this study found that the most common cause of the emergence of Islamophobia is dominated by prejudice which is the main driver of the emergence and spread of Islamophobia in America with the most consequences found in the social aspect

    Etos Kerja Islami dalam Perspektif Hadis Nabi: Panduan untuk Kehidupan Modern

    Islamic work ethic plays an important role in shaping the behaviour of Muslims in facing modern challenges. The culture of laziness and low productivity has also become a significant issue among the people. This study aims to analyse the motivation to work based on the Prophet Muhammad's hadith with a tahlili approach. The results show that working hard is not only to fulfil material needs, but also has the value of worship if done sincerely, even though the results are small. The 21 sahih transmission routes listed in Kutub al-Tis'ah were analysed to ensure the validity of the hadith. The study highlights the importance of Islamic work ethic as a solution to address social problems such as unemployment and low productivity in society. As a recommendation, the study encourages the integration of Islamic work ethic values in education and job training programmes to enhance social resilience and build a productive workforce in Muslim communities

    Dampak Toxic Relationship terhadap Self-Esteem Korban Kekerasan dalam Pacaran pada Mahasiswa

    This study examines the impact of toxic relationships on the self-esteem of students who are victims of dating violence. This study is important to conduct because our society is mostly only concerned with violence that is within the scope of legitimate bonds such as domestic violence but is still unfamiliar with violence against in dating relationships. Students were chosen by researchers to be the objects of this study because students are considered educated people, but in fact not many students know about the forms of violence in dating, even unknowingly becoming victims of such violence. Therefore, violence in dating relationships is very important to study as a form of concern and to provide information to young couples (students) so that they do not get caught in toxic relationships. With a qualitative-descriptive approach based on case studies, data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, unstructured observations, and documentation. Subjects experienced toxic relationships in the form of emotional violence (verbal abuse, dominance, possessiveness) and psychological manipulation (gaslighting, guilt-tripping, love-bombing). The impacts include loss of self-control, low self-acceptance, self-harming behavior, and doubt in decision making. These findings indicate the importance of psychological interventions to restore the self-esteem of victims of dating violence and to increase awareness of the dangers of toxic relationships among students

    BAZNAS Kabupaten Maros: Optimalisasi Pengelolaan Zakat Sebagai Sarana Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat : BAZNAS Maros Regency: Optimizing Zakat Management as a Means of Improving Community Welfare

    This research aims to examine the optimization of zakat management as a means of improving community welfare, by referring to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2011 concerning Zakat Management and Law Number 11 of 2009 concerning Social Welfare. The focus of the research is the strategy implemented by BAZNAS Maros Regency in maximizing the potential of zakat and the effectiveness of its distribution in improving community welfare. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a field research approach, using primary data from the Maros Regency BAZNAS office and secondary data in the form of related legal materials. The results of the study show that the strategy of BAZNAS Maros Regency includes zakat publications to increase public awareness, transparent administrative management, and real action in distribution and empowerment. The effectiveness of zakat distribution is influenced by the potential of community zakat, the amount of zakat funds that have been successfully collected, and the success of the distribution program despite facing obstacles in the collection and utilization of zakat. Scientifically, this research is expected to be a reference in the development of zakat management science and contribute to the scientific community, students, and related parties in an effort to improve the welfare of the community, nation, and religion

    Dalam batang tubuh Undang-Undang Dasar menegaskan bahwa Indonesia adalah negara hukum. Konsekuensinya, hukum positif yang dibuat negara melalui Presiden dan DPR menjadi panglima dalam setiap aspek kehidupan bernegara. Syariat Islam yang diakui sebagai hukum positif turut andil dalam bingkai hukum nasional dengan pemberlakuan pada wilayah tertentu, yaitu di Provinsi Aceh melalui Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2006 tentang Pemerintahan Aceh dan dalam praktik penegakan hukumnya salah satunya dilaksanakan oleh Mahkamah Syar’iyah. Mahkamah Syar’iyah menjalankan kewenangannya berdasarkan apa yang telah digariskan oleh peraturan perundang-undangan, namun pada umumnya keberadaan Mahkamah Syar’iyah tidak familiar bagi sebagian masyarakat terutama masyarakat yang berdomisili diluar wilayah yuridiksi Mahkamah Syar’iyah. Dengan pemikiran itu, kegiatan edukasi peran dan fungsi Mahkamah Syar’iyah dinilai penting terutama bagi mahasiswa dan mahasiswi yang berdomisili di Papua. Metode yang digunakan dalam edukasi ini yaitu melalui pendidikan dan penyampaian informasi mengenai Mahkamah Syar’iyah kepada masyarakat terutama mahasiswa dan mahasiswi yang langsung disampaikan oleh hakim Mahkamah Syar’iya

    Makna dan Tradisi Seserahan Kue Jaddah dalam Perspektif Masyarakat Jawa

    The tradition of seserahan is an integral part of wedding ceremonies in various regions of Indonesia, including among the Javanese community, which is rich in cultural rituals. One unique aspect of this tradition is the presentation of Kue Jaddah by the groom to the bride during the seserahan procession. This study aims to explore the significance of the Kue Jaddah tradition in Javanese wedding seserahan and analyze it from an Islamic perspective. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through observations and in-depth interviews with purposively selected informants. The findings reveal that Kue Jaddah, made from glutinous rice and requiring a lengthy preparation process, symbolizes patience and harmony in marriage. Its sticky texture is believed by the Javanese community to represent the strong bond between husband and wife. From an Islamic perspective, this tradition falls into the category of (‘Urf Shahih) as it does not involve elements of polytheism, and Kue Jaddah is not a prohibited food. The tradition reflects cultural values that strengthen family ties and remains relevant within an Islamic context. This study is expected to provide insights into how local traditions can be preserved and harmonized with religious values to enrich social life

    EDUKASI ANTI-BULLYING MANIFESTASI SEKOLAH RAMAH ANAK DI SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI ROWOLAKU

    Interaksi dengan teman sebaya sering kali dapat menjadi pemicu terjadinya perilaku bullying, yang merupakan masalah serius di kalangan anak-anak usia sekolah. Bullying memiliki dampak negatif yang signifikan terhadap kesehatan fisik, emosional, dan kualitas hidup korban. Oleh karena itu, edukasi tentang dampak buruk bullying serta cara pencegahannya menjadi strategi penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman dan ramah anak. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi tentang anti-bullying kepada siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Rowolaku. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa Service Learning yang melibatkan yang melibatkan 100 peserta didik. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan pemaparan materi anti-bullying secara langsung kepada siswa yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sesi ice breaking, tanya jawab, dan permainan interaktif untuk memperkuat pemahaman mereka. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi anti-bullying merupakan pendekatan yang efektif dalam mendukung terciptanya sekolah ramah anak. Selain meningkatkan pemahaman siswa, kegiatan ini juga berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam mengenali dan mencegah bullying di lingkungan sekolah mereka

    Pengajaran Pendidikan Islam Berbasis Keberagaman Budaya Peserta Didik: Islamic Education Teaching Based on Students' Cultural Diversity

    Islamic education learning is not merely about delivering curriculum content but also aims to shape students' good character and enable them to apply the skills taught in the classroom. Classes comprising students from diverse cultural backgrounds often pose challenges for teachers in providing effective instruction. Therefore, teachers must address the needs of each student to ensure equitable education. This requires teachers' sensitivity and skills in employing appropriate approaches, strategies, methods, and techniques, whether through direct or indirect strategies, as well as teacher-centered or student-centered approaches. This article briefly discusses the concept of learning oriented toward students' cultural diversity, encompassing language, practices, beliefs, and values. Teachers' understanding of cultural diversity is crucial for designing relevant learning materials. Hence, this study aims to analyze and provide recommendations based on a literature review regarding the implementation of culture-based learning in Islamic education. This article is expected to serve as a guide for fostering inclusive and culturally responsive learning.

    Waqf, which is a form of Islamic philanthropy based on the principles of social justice and wealth distribution, has great potential to influence tax structures and government policy. This study examines the potential for integration between the tax system and Islamic philanthropy, with a focus on utilizing the concept of waqf as an instrument to reduce individual tax burdens. The research method is a literature survey of more than 20 articles related to social funds sourced from waqf as a strength of Islamic philanthropy by trying to study and analyze using qualitative methods. The results of the research are that there are five strategies that can be implemented within the framework of waqf cooperation with taxes. First, waqf assets that have been developed and have added value are entitled to tax benefits. Second, the results of cash waqf investments are eligible for tax incentives. Third, waqf assets may qualify for income tax exemption. Fourth, provide tax benefits to waqf donors. Lastly, provide tax incentives to business actors who help waqf institutions or movements. So the potential of waqf as a tax reduction instrument can be optimized, providing significant benefits for Muslim communities and driving the sustainable growth of Islamic philanthropy.Wakaf, yang merupakan bentuk filantropi Islam yang mendasar pada prinsip-prinsip keadilan sosial dan distribusi kekayaan, memiliki potensi besar untuk mempengaruhi struktur pajak dan kebijakan pemerintah. Studi ini mengkaji potensi integrasi antara sistem pajak dan filantropi Islam, dengan fokus pada memanfaatkan konsep wakaf sebagai instrumen untuk mengurangi beban pajak individu. Metode penelitian adalah survei literatur terhadap lebih dari 20 artikel terkait dana social yang bersumber dari wakaf sebagai kekuatan filantropi islam dengan mencoba mengkaji dan menganalisis dengan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah ada lima strategi yang bisa dilakukan dalam kerangka kerja sama wakaf dengan pajak. Pertama, harta wakaf yang telah dikembangkan dan mempunyai nilai tambah berhak mendapatkan keuntungan pajak. Kedua, hasil investasi wakaf tunai layak mendapat insentif perpajakan. Ketiga, aset wakaf mungkin memenuhi syarat untuk mendapatkan pembebasan pajak penghasilan. Keempat, memberikan manfaat pajak kepada donatur wakaf. Terakhir, memberikan insentif pajak kepada pelaku usaha yang membantu lembaga atau gerakan wakaf. Maka potensi wakaf sebagai instrumen pengurangan pajak dapat dioptimalkan, memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi masyarakat Muslim dan menggerakkan pertumbuhan filantropi Islam secara berkelanjutan

    Peran Wakaf Digital dalam Mencapai Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDG’s)

    Waqf as one of the Islamic financial instruments has a strategic role in advancing the welfare of society and contributing to sustainable development. It has a strong relevance to the SDGs. Digital-based waqf is the collection and management of waqf by utilizing technology and digital platforms as an effort to accelerate the transformation of productive waqf so that it can be more effective, efficient, and transparent. Through a descriptive qualitative approach with secondary data from literature study analysis, waqf has an important role in achieving sustainable development through various means. Waqf as a permanent donation for social and religious welfare, supporting education, improving access to healthcare, contributing to economic empowerment through productive waqf, and waqf can fund projects that support environmental preservation. The implementation of digital waqf involves the development of a digital platform that allows donors to conduct waqf online through a website or mobile application. The platform facilitates the donation process, tracking, and reporting on the use of waqf funds.  Examples of the application of this technology can be seen in initiatives such as Waqf Chain, which uses blockchain to manage waqf assets.Smart contracts are used to automatically execute waqf agreements. Crowdfunding platforms are also used to raise waqf funds from the wider community, enabling participation from various walks of life. Digital wallets and electronic payment methods are integrated to make it easier for donors to make waqf contributions. However, many people still lack understanding and education about the concept of digital waqf and the benefits that can be derived from it, and tend to be skeptical of the use of new technology in waqf management. Therefore, intensive and continuous education is needed to increase public awareness and participation in digital waqf.  Wakaf sebagai salah satu instrumen keuangan syariah memiliki peran strategis dalam memajukan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan berkontribusi pada pembangunan berkelanjutan. Hal tersebut memiliki relevansi yang kuat dengan tujuan (SDG’s). Wakaf berbasis digital merupakan penghimpunan dan pengelolaan wakaf dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dan platform digital sebagai   upaya   mempercepat   transformasi wakaf  produktif sehingga dapat lebih efektif, efisien, dan transparan. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan data sekunder dari analisis studi literatur, wakaf memiliki peran penting dalam mencapai pembangunan berkelanjutan melalui berbagai cara. Wakaf sebagai sumbangan permanen untuk kesejahteraan sosial dan keagamaan, mendukung pendidikan, meningkatkan akses kesehatan, berkontribusi pada pemberdayaan ekonomi melalui wakaf produktif, dan wakaf dapat mendanai proyek-proyek yang mendukung pelestarian lingkungan. Implementasi wakaf digital melibatkan pengembangan platform digital yang memungkinkan donatur untuk melakukan wakaf secara online melalui situs web atau aplikasi mobile. Platform tersebut memfasilitasi proses donasi, pelacakan, dan pelaporan penggunaan dana wakaf.  Contoh penerapan teknologi ini dapat dilihat pada inisiatif seperti Waqf Chain, yang menggunakan blockchain untuk mengelola aset wakaf. Smart contracts atau kontrak pintar digunakan untuk mengeksekusi perjanjian wakaf secara otomatis. Platform crowdfunding juga digunakan untuk mengumpulkan dana wakaf dari masyarakat luas, memungkinkan partisipasi dari berbagai lapisan masyarakat. Dompet digital dan metode pembayaran elektronik diintegrasikan untuk mempermudah donatur dalam memberikan kontribusi wakaf. Namun, banyak masyarakat yang masih kurang memahami dan belum teredukasi tentang konsep wakaf digital serta manfaat yang bisa diperoleh darinya, serta cenderung skeptis terhadap penggunaan teknologi baru dalam pengelolaan wakaf. Oleh karena itu, edukasi yang intensif dan berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam wakaf digital
