Science Teaching Materials Based on Field Trips with Local Wisdom to Improve Elementary School Students' Critical Thinking
Objective: Education is the most essential thing in the life of a human being. Components supporting its implementation are needed to realize the quality of education. Cultivating critical thinking character education is urgently required in the era of globalization. Field trip teaching materials with local wisdom can be an attractive alternative. This study aims to develop science teaching materials based on field trips with local wisdom to improve elementary school students in critical thinking skills. Method: This research method uses research and development, Borg and Gall. Data collection techniques used unstructured interviews, observation, assessment tests, and non-tes. At the same time, data analysis uses quantitative data and descriptive elaboration. Results: The study showed the validity of teaching materials in this research with a percentage gain of 82.00% if converted to a valid category. In comparison, the practicality of implementing lesson plans obtained a percentage of 94.00%, and student activity obtained a percentage of 95.00% with an outstanding category. The effectiveness of science teaching materials showed pretest results with an average of 66.30, while the post-test data was 87.22. Novelty: This research shows a significant increase in the critical thinking skills of elementary school students through learning science teaching materials based on field trips with local wisdom. The update of this research is to implement field trip activities into teaching materials so that learning in cultivating critical thinking is exciting for students
Penyuluhan dan Pelatihan Pembuatan Kompos Organik dengan Metode Keranjang Takakura di Desa Biring Ere
Peningkatan produksi sampah di Indonesia cenderung mengalami peningkatan dari tahun ke tahun. Peningkatan sampah meningkat seiring dengan pertambahan jumlah penduduk yang dapat menyebabkan permasalahan penumpukan sampah bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Salah satu jenis sampah yang sering dijumpai, yaitu sampah organik. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan mengurangi produksi sampah organik adalah dengan mengolahnya menjadi kompos dengan menggunakan metode keranjang Takakura. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman warga Desa Biring Ere terkait pembuatan kompos organik dengan metode keranjang Takakura dan sebab akibat sampah di lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR). Subjek penelitian adalah warga Desa Biring Ere yang berjumlah 27 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu angket. Hasil penelitian yaitu terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan warga sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Adanya peningkatan pengetahuan terkait metode pengomposan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi yang didukung oleh kerja sama semua pihak, baik pemerintah, masyarakat, maupun lembaga pendidikan
Academic Supervision Strategies in Problems Solving Teacher Performance On Language Learning
The purpose of this research is to determine academic supervision strategies in problems solving teacher performance on language learning. The research approach used is qualitative research. The research subjects were madrasah supervisors, madrasah heads, and teachers. The research was carried out on the supervision activities of madrasa supervisors at MI Darussalam Sambiroto Baron Nganjuk. The research results show that problems with teacher performance on language learning include low teacher professionalism due to the mismatch between teachers' academic qualifications and their professional duties. There are teachers whose academic qualifications are non-Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education and are forced to become class teachers and teach general subjects. This condition results in less effective learning management and teachers experience difficulties in planning, implementing and assessing of language learning. Efforts to solve teacher performance problems on language learning are carried out by supervision with coaching and mentoring by the MI head or madrasah supervisor. The academic supervision strategies that has been implemented is class visits and regular teacher meetings. Apart from that, MI heads or madrasah supervisors can apply clinical supervision techniques to solve teacher performance problems on language learning
The Urgency of the Education Cultural Program in Increasing Competitiveness in MAN 1 and 4 Jombang
The Urgency of Education Culture is indeed a barometer of Madrasah activities which is a measure of whether the Madrasah has a culture that activities which is a measure of whether the Madrasah has a culture that produces a good result for the Madrasah or vice versa a bad culture for the etis. Madrasah, therefore MAN 1 and 4 Jombang prioritize Education Culture in increasing the power the competitiveness of the institution so that the institution has good icons and habits in the daily life of the madrasa so as to increase the competitiveness of the madrasa. the purpose of this research is to find and analyze the Madrasah cultural program in increasing competitiveness. This study uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design. Data collection in this study used in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques in which the data sources were people, documents (papers) and places (place). The results of this study fully strengthen the theory of the Culture of a School conveyed by strengthening the theories of Beare, Caldwell, Spinks and Milikan that the main principle in Education Culture is the Madrasah Cultural Program which contains goals and objectives (Aims and objectives), Curriculum (Curriculum), language (Language), Thought (Metaphor) and Organizing (Organizational)
The Use of Learning English Webtoon Comics to Improve the Students' Speaking Ability
Considering that Webtoon is an innovative media in teaching reading comprehension. And The Question Is How can the use of English comic improve the ability of students?. Teachers should know how to use Webtoon and how to connect students into virtual classroom that can give some advantages either for teacher or students. For teacher, social application like Webtoon can make teachers help students to interested and teach how to use their android, computer and their free time by reading. It can be suitable process where the process of teaching and learning is not limited to classroom for meeting only. For students, it can be new experience for them to learn digitally and virtually. This strategy supported by researchers. The research design of this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the design research, because it attempts to overcome students’ problem in their teaching-learning activities. There are 2 cycles to get a good score to test student, the first is Cycle 1 Quality Time that contains post-test webtoon, the second is Cycle 2 Good As New that contains evaluation webtoon. accordance with the objective of the research was to improve students’ ability in speaking through the use of English comic. The results of this research on English subjects can be concluded that English learning is still conventional, In post-test of cycle 1, the results were established from quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitatively, the students score were improved but still categorized unsuccessful because only 11 students who improved and passed the MPG. In post-test of cycle 2, the results of the research were gained from both quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitatively, it showed the students got higher score of pronunciation test after using this technique. There are 31 students were categorized successful and passed the MPG. It means that the students’ speaking ability was improved. The data also strengthened by the qualitative data from the observation and the interview with the students and the teacher. It shows that they feel more better in speaking using comic webtoon as media
Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Mendalam Sebagai Upaya Pembentukan Karakter Siswa
Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk mengembangkan metode pembelajaran mendalam untuk membentuk karakter siswa sebagai pembelajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah studi kepustakaan (Library Research) yang dimana segala data-data yang diperoleh dari pengumpulan berbagai referensi baik dari buku, jurnal, artikel, serta berbagai sumber lainnya yang dianggap memiliki keterkaitan dengan permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Pembelajaran mendalam merupakan pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan kekuatan kemitraan baru untuk melibatkan para siswa dalam mempraktekkan proses pembelajaran melalui menemukan dan menguasai pengetahuan yang ada dan kemudian menciptakan serta menggunakan pengetahuan baru di dunia sehingga hasil dari pembelajaran mendalam berupaya pada peningkatan pemahaman siswa tentang kelebihan dan kelemahannya, pengumpulan data mengenai informasi profil siswa dan pembangunan nilai kepercayaan diantara anggota kelompok belajar siswa
Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Canva Mata Pelajaran PAI & BP Fase C - Sekolah Dasar
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk pengembangan media pembelajaran canva mata Pelajaran PAI dan BP untuk Fase C Sekolah Dasar. Model pengembangan menggunakan model ADDIE dengan mengikuti Langkah-langkahnya, meliputi analisis, desain, developmen, implementasi dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan validasi ahli, desain produk dan uji coba produk, maka hasil penelitian menemukan adanya produk media pembelajaran yang memliki nilai sangat baik. Tinggi sehingga dapat dikatakan media pembelajaran yang tepat, cepat dan efektif digunakan guru PAI dan BP di Sekolah Dasar. Kelebihan dan keunggulan produk media pembelajaran canva PAI dan BP, memiliki desain menarik, mampu meningkatkan kreativitas guru dan siswa dalam mendesain media pembelajaran (infografis, video, presentasi, dan lain-lain). Menghemat waktu dalam media pembelajaran, dapat digunakan melalui handphone dan laptop serta Aplikasi canva mudah dijangkau di semua kalangan. Namun terdapat pula kekurangan produk aplikasi canva menggunakan jaringan internet yang stabil, terdapat template, stiker, ilustrasi, font, dan lain-lain secara berbayar dan desain yang dipilih terdapat kesamaan dengan design orang lain
Implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model with Differentiation Approach to Improve Critical Thinking Ability
Objective: This study aims to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills on solar system material in the project-based learning (PjBL) learning model with a differentiated approach. According to PISA, the results of observations in class VII State JHS 13 Madiun and interviews with several science teachers, Indonesian students' science skills are in a low category. Therefore, an appropriate learning model is needed to facilitate students to improve their critical thinking skills. Methode: This research is classified as a type of quantitative research. The subjects in this study were 30 students of class VII A at State JHS 13 Madiun city and science teachers at JHS 13 Madiun city. Results: The analysis showed that this study's increase in pretest and posttest scores was high, with an N-gain value of 0.72. This study also shows that PjBL learning intensely impacts the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in solar system material with a d-effect size value of 0.79. Novelty: The novelty of this research is to collaborate the PjBL learning model with a differentiated approach. In this study, the syntax of PjBL learning collaborates with a differentiation approach that can facilitate all student characteristics. Project creation in this learning is done based on students' learning style characteristics
Profile of Teacher Decision-Making in Designing Mathematical Tasks Based on Teaching Experience
Objective: This research aims to describe the decision-making profile of mathematics teachers in designing mathematical assignments based on teaching experience. Method: The subjects of this study were mathematics teachers in junior high school education units with a bachelor's degree in mathematics education, including one senior teacher (ST) and one novice teacher (NT). The researcher used a task sheet for making a mathematical task design (TSMTD) and an interview guide as instruments for data collection. Results: The results showed that both novice and senior teachers identified problems by mentioning known information, but novice teachers tended to modify textbook assignments as materials for designing questions. In collecting information, beginner and senior teachers compared ideas from previous experiences, but senior teachers considered the context of the questions to be designed. Beginner teachers submitted problems by raising the theme of comparing values and transforming values with different resolution processes, while senior teachers considered several contexts and chose multiple alternative solutions. Both beginner and senior teachers checked all the questions designed and assessed the feasibility of the solutions generated from the task. Novelty: This research contributes to the understanding of the decision-making profile of mathematics teachers in designing assignments based on their teaching experience, highlighting the differences between novice and senior teachers in terms of problem identification, information collection, problem submission, and checking of designed questions
Persepsi Guru Dalam Penerapan Asesmen Nasional (AN) Di Samarinda
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh dari penerapan asesmen nasional terhadap persepsi guru sebagai pendidik.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif.Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer.Data diperoleh dari kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada guru ataupun calon guru yang berada di Samarinda.Penyebaran kuesioner melalui Google Form dan mendapatakan hasil 21 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwapendidik maupun calon pendidik di Samarinda berpendapat bahwa Asesmen Nasional yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah tidak menyulitkan mereka, namun memberikan pemahaman yang lebih kepada pendidik bahwa dalam proses belajar mengajar harus memperhatikan iput, proses dan evaluasi
