    No full text
Early childhood education requires learning approaches that foster motivation through meaningful and enjoyable experiences, making pedagogical innovation essential in the digital era. This study aims to analyze early childhood learning competencies through the implementation of deep learning–based pedagogical innovations to enhance learning motivation at El-Azzam Kindergarten, Pekanbaru. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected from one Grade B teacher through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that teachers possess adequate pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies; however, the use of interactive digital media remains limited. The application of deep learning–based pedagogical innovation, which emphasizes meaningful, reflective, and contextual learning, was found to increase children’s active participation, intrinsic learning motivation, and emotional engagement in learning activities. Moreover, this approach encourages teachers to become more reflective, creative, and responsive to individual learner characteristics. The practical implications of this study suggest that integrating deep learning principles with educational technology can serve as an effective strategy to improve the quality of early childhood education and support the continuous development of teacher competencie

This study was motivated by the lack of understanding regarding the mother’s role in stimulating children's language development. The purpose of this research is to describe the role of mothers in supporting the language development of early childhood, specifically children aged 4 to 5 years at PAUD Bina Pelita Hati. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving six mothers and six students from Class A. The findings reveal that the mother plays a vital role in stimulating language development through everyday interactions such as reading books, storytelling, engaging in play, and providing emotional support. This research is grounded in Vygotsky’s theory of development, which emphasizes that social interaction with adults particularly the mother is fundamental to language development through the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and scaffolding. Additionally, Skinner’s behaviorist theory supports the finding that verbal reinforcement from mothers significantly contributes to the formation and enrichment of young children’s vocabulary. The study concludes that children who receive regular language stimulation from their mothers demonstrate more advanced language skills. Therefore, active maternal involvement and collaboration with early childhood education institutions (PAUD) are essential to fostering optimal language development in early childhoo

The essential basis for Early Childhood Development (ECD) is physical motor skills; however, the diversity of motor achievements in each individual requires differentiated learning strategies in ECD environments. This study focuses on comparing the efficacy of two different program approaches, namely the Moving Class Model and the Daily Routine Model, in facilitating the differentiation of motor activities in two institutions. The methodology applied was Multi-Site Comparative Qualitative, involving triangulation of data from intensive observation, in-depth interviews, and review of relevant documents. Data were collected through a series of intensive observations, in-depth interviews with educators at RA Al-Muttaqin and RA Al-Istiqomah, and careful analysis of all relevant program documentation. The research findings indicate that both institutions reflect a strong dedication to motor stimulation, but there are differences in focus in the practice of differentiation. The institution that applies the Moving Class (RA Al-Muttaqin) shows superiority in internal differentiation, by providing specific interventions for children who need individual support. Conversely, institutions that adopt the Daily Routine (RA Al-Istiqomah) are more prominent in terms of consistency in the frequency of daily stimulation and the strengthening of structured parent partnerships for follow-up in the domestic environment. The conclusion that can be drawn is that successful differentiation requires comprehensive synchronization between individual, task, and environmental subsystems, in line with the perspective of Dynamic Systems Theory. The practical implication is the urgent need to integrate adaptive models in school institutions with systematic family partnerships in order to achieve holistic motor physical developmen

This study aims to develop a multiculturalism-based Civics Education (PKn) learning model for elementary school students to foster tolerance and national unity in Indonesia’s diverse society. Using a library research method with a qualitative approach, the research analyzes academic literature, including journal articles, books, and policy documents, focusing on multicultural education and PKn learning models. Data were collected through systematic searches on academic databases (Google Scholar, ERIC, DOAJ) and analyzed using thematic and content analysis techniques. The results indicate that a multicultural approach in PKn learning, supported by experiential methods and digital technology, significantly enhances students' understanding of diversity and promotes inclusive attitudes. However, challenges such as limited teacher training and resources remain. The study concludes that integrating multicultural values into PKn requires collaborative efforts among educators, schools, and policymakers to create an inclusive and adaptive learning environment.&nbsp

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Montessori approach in early-grade elementary school learning and its impact on students' basic skills. This research is a quantitative study with an experimental approach. The subjects of this study are early-grade elementary school students, while the object is the application of the Montessori approach in the learning process. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, and interviews. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis, calculating the average score and comparing the learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the Montessori method. The results indicate that the application of the Montessori method enhances students' basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic. The implementation of this method also increases students' interest in learning and helps them overcome learning difficulties, such as math anxiety. In conclusion, the Montessori approach is effective in improving the quality of learning in early-grade elementary schools, providing a more enjoyable and developmentally appropriate learning experience for students..&nbsp

This study aims to examine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on the speaking skills of fourth-grade students at MI Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 50 students, with 25 students in class IV A as the experimental group and 25 students in class IV B as the control group. The instrument used was a speaking skills test assessed with a rubric including fluency, pronunciation accuracy, sentence structure, and confidence. The results showed a significant improvement in speaking skills. The average speaking score of the experimental class increased from 67.4 to 82.6 (an improvement of 15.2 points), while the control class increased from 66.8 to 73.2 (an improvement of 6.4 points). The N-Gain score in the experimental class was 0.428 (moderate category). The prerequisite tests indicated that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous, allowing the t-test to be applied. The independent t-test result showed sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of the TPS model on students’ speaking skills. Therefore, TPS can be considered an effective alternative strategy in Indonesian language learning to enhance students’ speaking skills at Madrasah Ibtidaiya

Early literacy is a crucial foundation in early childhood education; however, many preschool children in Indonesia still face challenges due to less engaging instructional strategies. This study aimed to examine the effect of the ABC Magnet Book on the literacy skills of children aged 4–5 years at TK Bina Harapanku, Takalar. Using a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design with an experimental group (n = 15) and a control group (n = 15), the intervention was implemented in five sessions of manipulative and multisensory learning activities. Data were collected through performance-based observations and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group (M = 18.4 ± 2.1) compared to the control group (M = 14.2 ± 2.6), with a moderate effect size (r = 0.45; Z = −3.430; p = 0.001). A total of 33.3% of children in the experimental group reached the “Very Well Developed” category, compared to only 6.6% in the control group. These findings emphasize that play-based and interactive media are effective in fostering phonemic awareness and early literacy. Nevertheless, limitations related to the small sample size (n = 15 per group) and purposive sampling should be considered when generalizing the results. The ABC Magnet Book is recommended as an engaging and practical alternative for enhancing early literacy in preschool educatio
