    Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Multikultural melalui Mata Pelajaran PKn

    This study aims to analyze the strengthening of multicultural-based character education through Civics (PKn) subjects in Islamic Elementary Schools (MI) by employing a qualitative library research method. The research subjects consist of academic literature, including books, journals, and policy documents, while the object of study focuses on the integration of multicultural values in the PKn curriculum at the MI level. Data were collected through systematic searches in academic databases using keywords such as "character education," "multiculturalism," and "civic education," followed by content analysis to identify themes and theoretical gaps. The findings indicate that PKn has significant potential to foster multicultural character values when contextual and active learning approaches are applied. However, challenges such as teachers' limited understanding of multicultural pedagogy and a lack of localized teaching materials hinder optimal implementation. The study concludes that strengthening multicultural character education in MI requires curriculum development, teacher training, and community collaboration to enhance students' tolerance, empathy, and national awareness.&nbsp

    Peran Metode Pembelajaran Outdoor Learning dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Siswa tentang Lingkungan

    This study aims to analyze the role of the outdoor learning method in improving elementary school students’ understanding of the environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. The subjects are elementary school students, and the object is the outdoor learning method and its impact on environmental understanding. Data were collected through literature review from scholarly journals, books, and academic articles published in the last five years. Data were analyzed using content analysis with a descriptive approach. The results indicate that the outdoor learning method effectively enhances students’ understanding of environmental issues by offering direct experiences and contextual learning that connects theory and practice. Furthermore, this method fosters active student engagement, develops social skills, and cultivates environmental awareness from an early age. In conclusion, outdoor learning is a relevant and strategic approach to environmental education at the elementary school level.&nbsp

    Islamic education is an activity carried out consciously and in a planned way by developing, improving, leading, training, nurturing students so that they can actively develop the potential that exists within them with the aim of having religious spiritual strength, knowledge, noble morals and the skills needed to live life in this world and towards the afterlife in accordance with Islamic values. Thoughts on Islamic education have always been a hot topic of conversation from time to time. Starting from the emergence of Islam as a religion to the elaboration of Islam, it became an object of study in the realm of thought by Muslim scholars and orientalists.  The aim of this research is to see the views of two figures, Harun Nasution and Nurcholish Madjid, who were figures in the development of Islamic thought who were quite influential in their time. This research method is included in library research. The research results show that both education systems are based on the principles of the Koran which emphasizes the importance of morals and the need for education in all aspects of life

    Media Secret Alphabet Berbasis Loose Part untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Keaksaraan Awal Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun

    This study aims to describe the planning, implementation and improvement carried out by teachers in early literacy skills in children aged 4-5 years through the use of loose part-based secret alphabet media. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out collaboratively with teachers at Kober Al-Urwatul Wutsqa. The subjects of the study included 12 children in group A, consisting of 5 boys and 7 girls. Data collection techniques in this study were through observation and documentation techniques, then analyzed using narrative and graphic analysis. The results of the study indicate that the use of loose part-based secret alphabet media can improve the early literacy skills of children aged 4-5 years in recognizing letters A-Z. Children's early literacy skills can be seen from each stage of learning which shows that children can recognize sounds and shapes/symbols of letters, children can distinguish sounds and shapes of similar letters, and children can imitate letter shapes. This success cannot be separated from careful planning, optimal implementation, and the use of loose part-based secret alphabet media which is able to attract interest and increase children's active participation in learning activities. Based on the results of this study, the use of creative, innovative learning media, such as loose part-based secret alphabet media, is very effective in improving the early literacy skills of children aged 4-5 year

    This study aims to determine the effect of using maze learning media in improving the learning concentration of children aged 5-6 years. The main focus of this study is to improve three aspects of concentration, namely focusing attention, perseverance, and memory. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of two groups, namely the experimental class (B1) and the control class (B2) each with 10 children from Dewi Sartika Kindergarten, Kawalu District, Tasikmalaya City. Data collection was carried out through observation and documentation. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the pretest results and the posttest results in the experimental class with an average increase in value of 8.7 points. While the control class only experienced an increase of 4 points. These data indicate that maze media provides a real contribution in improving children's learning concentration.     This study aims to describe the role of parents in monitoring the growth and development of early childhood children and the forms of monitoring conducted at home. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach through in-depth interviews with five parents of children aged 4–5 years in Medan Denai District. The results indicate that parents play a role in three main ways: observing their children's development at home, providing stimulation as needed, and utilizing health services such as integrated health posts (Posyandu). Monitoring is carried out on speaking, walking, playing, and physical growth, while stimulation is provided through play, reading, chatting, and drawing. However, monitoring is not comprehensive because parents tend to focus on physical aspects, while social-emotional development, independence, and cognitive development are less considered. The use of Posyandu is also limited to physical examinations, resulting in incomplete information on children's development. These findings provide theoretical contributions to the study of Early Childhood Education and parenting, particularly in strengthening the concept of family involvement in monitoring child development. Practically, the results of this study can form the basis for developing parent education programs and collaboration with health workers for more comprehensive monitoring.     This study aims to describe the role of Civic Education in shaping the multicultural character of elementary school students. The research method used is library research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study are theories and previous relevant studies, while the objects are the concepts of Civic Education and the multicultural character of elementary students. Data collection techniques include document studies and scholarly literature, while data analysis was conducted using content analysis and thematic synthesis. The results show that Civic Education plays a crucial role in instilling values of tolerance, appreciation of diversity, and harmonious living in a pluralistic society. Through the integration of multicultural approaches in the curriculum, learning methods, and the role of teachers and school environment, students’ multicultural character can be developed optimally. The conclusion confirms that Civic Education serves as a strategic instrument in educating inclusive, democratic, and diversity-appreciating future generations

    Penerapan Fiqih Wudhu dan Shalat di MTs NU Kraksaan Probolinggo: Studi tentang Pemahaman dan Pengamalannya di Kalangan Siswa

    This study aims to explore the understanding and practice of wudhu (ablution) and shalat (prayer) among 7th-grade students at MTs NU Kraksaan Probolinggo, as part of fiqih education, which plays a vital role in shaping students' religious character. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with students and teachers, direct observation of worship activities, and documentation of fiqih learning materials used in class. The findings reveal that most students possess a basic understanding of the procedures for wudhu and shalat, but a significant gap remains in actual practice—particularly regarding the accuracy of implementation and the internalization of the spiritual meaning behind the rituals. Factors such as home prayer habits, time constraints, and limited opportunities for hands-on practice at school contribute to this gap. On the other hand, Islamic religious education teachers have delivered the material systematically, but challenges persist in ensuring students’ emotional engagement and consistent practice beyond the classroom. This study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of fiqih education at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level by emphasizing the importance of integrating cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in worship education. Practical recommendations include increasing hands-on practice during fiqih lessons, creating a school environment that supports regular prayer, and encouraging active parental involvement in guiding religious practice at home.     Character education is a fundamental aspect in forming a generation that is not only intellectually superior, but also morally and socially mature. In a dynamic global context, character education is key to preparing individuals with integrity, critical thinking, and responsibility. This study aims to compare the character education curriculum in Indonesia and Finland in order to identify effective practices that can be applied in Indonesia. The benefit of this study is to provide strategic recommendations for the development of more contextual, inclusive, and sustainable character education policies and practices. The method used is qualitative with a comparative study approach, involving the study of policy documentation, official curricula, and interviews with education practitioners from both countries. The results of the study show that although both countries prioritize character education, their approaches differ significantly. Indonesia tends to apply a normative and administrative top-down approach, while Finland integrates character education organically into school life, with an emphasis on student well-being, teacher autonomy, and community involvement. The conclusion of this study confirms that Indonesia can take inspiration from the Finnish system, not by imitating it in its entirety, but by adapting these good practices to the local context to form a living, participatory, and impactful character education cultur

    One of the four companions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW who was included in the khulafaurrasyidin was Umar bin Khattab. Umar bin Khattab was the second caliph after Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq. He was appointed by Muslims based on the recommendation of Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq when he felt that his age would not last long.
