Religious moderation is a fundamental concept in maintaining social harmony within a multicultural society such as Indonesia, and early childhood education represents a strategic stage for instilling values of tolerance, inclusivity, and respect for diversity. This article aims to analyze the concept of religious moderation, identify challenges in its implementation, and formulate strategies for strengthening religious moderation in early childhood education. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method using a literature-based integrative review approach, analyzing 15 sources consisting of national and international journal articles, academic books, and official government policy documents. The findings indicate that religious moderation in early childhood education can be effectively implemented through thematic learning integration, teacher role modeling, inclusive school culture, and collaboration among schools, parents, and the wider community. However, several challenges persist, including limited teacher understanding, insufficient continuous training, the influence of social media, and resistance from local cultural norms. The originality of this article lies in its comprehensive synthesis of conceptual and practical perspectives on religious moderation that specifically focuses on early childhood education by linking Indonesia’s national policy framework with global multicultural and citizenship education discourse. The study concludes that strengthening religious moderation from an early age requires collaborative strategies, curriculum reinforcement, and sustained capacity building for educators to foster tolerant character development and prepare children to engage constructively with global diversit

This study aims to describe the level of creativity among children aged 5–6 years at TK Joy Kids National Plus Tasikmalaya, based on four main aspects: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. A quantitative descriptive method was used, involving 20 children as participants. The results showed that most children were at a moderate level of creativity, with notable strengths in generating many ideas (fluency) and coming up with unique ideas (originality). However, the ability to think from different perspectives (flexibility) varied among children, and the skill of developing ideas in more detail (elaboration) was still in progress. Based on these findings, it is recommended that learning strategies be adjusted to each child's needs and that the learning environment be made more stimulating to help develop their creativity more effectively. The implication of this study is the need to develop more flexible, contextual, and child-centered learning strategies to support the equal development and enhancement of all aspects of creativity—particularly flexibility and elaboration—while also acknowledging the limitation in generalizability, as the research was conducted at a single institutio

Profesionalisme Guru TK: Ditinjau dari Aspek Gaji dan Motivasi Kerja di Kecamatan Tawang dan Cipedes

This study addresses the scarcity of research on the professionalism of kindergarten teachers in relation to salary and work motivation, despite its substantial impact on the quality of early childhood education in Indonesia. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved six kindergarten teachers (n = 6) from Tawang and Cipedes sub-districts, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and document analysis, and analyzed thematically to identify recurring patterns and themes. Findings reveal that low salary remains a major barrier to improving teacher welfare and professionalism, whereas intrinsic work motivation—such as passion for teaching and commitment to children’s development—remains consistently high among participants. School-led initiatives, including professional training and non-financial rewards, positively influence teacher confidence and professional competence, yet do not fully address financial challenges. The study confirms the relevance of Herzberg’s two-factor theory, indicating that both salary (hygiene factor) and motivation (motivator factor) are critical for fostering professionalism in early childhood education. Ethical approval was obtained from relevant authorities, and informed consent was secured from all participants. The results offer theoretical insights into teacher professionalism and practical implications for policymakers and school leaders to design effective welfare policies and professional development program

Early childhood is a very important developmental stage in shaping children's character, thinking skills, and creativity, where children quickly respond to stimuli through learning experiences that are appropriate to their developmental stage. This study aims to improve the creativity of children aged 5–6 years through loose parts learning at Amal Sholeh Islamic Kindergarten in Tasikmalaya. The study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method model of Kemmis and McTaggart with four stages: Planning, Acting, Observing, and Reflecting. The research subjects were 17 children. Children's creativity was assessed based on five indicators: Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, Elaboration, and Sensitivity. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the planning and implementation of learning by teachers, as well as the development of children's creativity. In the pre-cycle stage, children's creativity abilities only achieved 15.8% (Undeveloped). In the first cycle, the teacher's ability in planning only got 78.5%, then the teacher's ability in implementation only got 52.7%. After improvement, in the second cycle, the teacher's ability in planning increased to 92.8%, for the teacher's ability in implementation also increased to 75%, then for the child's creativity ability increased to 51.1% (Developing According to Expectations). Until its peak in the third cycle, the teacher's ability in planning increased to 98.2%, and the teacher's ability in implementation increased to 94.4%, and for the child's creativity ability increased to 83.8% (Developing Very Well). This finding shows that loose part learning is effective in stimulating the creativity of early childhood and can be a strategy for stimulating the development of creativity at an early age, and can be an alternative innovation in learning that is fun and meaningfu

This study aims to describe the implementation of the habituation method in shaping the religious character of early childhood students at RA At-Taufiq. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the Majlis Pagi (Morning Assembly) activity, as a form of habituation, includes recitation of iqra, memorization of prayers, hadiths, short surahs, and the practice of dhuha prayer. These activities are conducted consistently every morning and have become part of the school program. Teachers play a crucial role in delivering material appropriate to the child’s developmental stage through the talaqqi method, exemplary behavior, and personal approaches. In addition, parental involvement and family background are both supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of this activity. The habituation method proves to be effective in instilling religious values from an early age, although there are still challenges such as children’s lack of focus and delays in attendance due to parenting patterns at home. The uniqueness of the morning assembly as a religious haracter building program lies in its routine, structured, and enjoyable implemetation, so that children can intrnalize religus values without coercion. Through activities such as joint prayer, greetings, and memorizing short verses, children learn directly from the teacher’s example, forming fositive habits as from an early age. The morning assembly also creates a distinctive spiritual atmosphere and becomes an effective medium and fostering a religiuous attitude naturally and consistenl

Peningakatan Kemampuan Numerasi Awal Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Melalui Media Turtle Sorting Color

The problem addressed in this study stems from the low early numeracy skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK Perwari 1, Tasikmalaya City. Initial observations revealed that the children struggled to understand basic number concepts, simple arithmetic operations, and object classification based on quantity and color. Learning activities focused primarily on lecture-based methods and the use of worksheets (LKA), which proved less effective in stimulating children’s cognitive development, particularly in early numeracy. This research aims to improve children’s early numeracy skills through the use of the Turtle Sorting Color media a concrete learning tool made from plywood decorated with turtle images, where each turtle’s shell is crafted from used plastic bottles serving as containers for colorful pom-poms. Each turtle is labeled with a number to guide children in grouping pom-poms by color and quantity. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, implemented over two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 15 children from group B at TK Perwari 1. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and field notes, analyzed through descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. Findings revealed a significant improvement in children's early numeracy skills. The average achievement increased from 36.25% in the pre-cycle, to 64.59% in the first cycle, and reached 88.33% in the second cycle. Children became more active, focused, and capable of understanding early numeracy concepts in a concrete and enjoyable manner. This study concludes that the Turtle Sorting Color media is effective as a learning aid to enhance early numeracy skills in children aged 5–6 years. The media offers an innovative alternative aligned with play-based learning approaches in early childhood educatio

    No full text
This study conducts a systematic literature review to examine the integration of Islamic values in Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) within the framework of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Employing the PRISMA protocol, this review analyzes 12 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2024 and indexed in reputable databases, including Scopus, Google Scholar, and DOAJ. The findings demonstrate that core Islamic values such as tawhid (oneness of God), amanah (responsibility), akhlaq (ethical conduct), and rahmatan lil ‘alamin (mercy for all creation) are conceptually aligned with the social, environmental, and economic pillars of ESD. These values are operationalized in PIAUD through thematic learning, nature-based activities, Qur’anic value integration, and project-based pedagogical approaches that foster spiritual, social, and ecological awareness from an early age. The theoretical contribution of this study lies in the development of an integrative conceptual framework that systematically connects Islamic educational values with ESD principles in early childhood education, an area that has remained fragmented in previous research. Practically, this review provides evidence-based insights for curriculum developers, teachers, and policymakers to design sustainability-oriented Islamic learning models at the PIAUD level. The novelty of this study resides in its comprehensive synthesis of Islamic value-based education and ESD through a systematic review approach, offering a structured mapping of concepts, pedagogical strategies, and research gaps that have not been explicitly articulated in earlier studies. This study thus positions PIAUD as a strategic foundation for cultivating sustainability-oriented character grounded in Islamic epistemolog
