The increased use of social media and the internet is leading to an increase in cyberbully vulnerabilities as well as daily usage. Cyberbullying is a deliberate, aggressive behavior that can be committed by an individual or organization. It occurs when people communicate, post, and distribute damaging, false, or unfavorable content online. For individuals impacted, it results in emotional and mental health issues. Therefore, it is imperative to create automated techniques for the detection and prevention of cyberbullying. The majority of the research done on cyberbullying detection in recent years has been on text-based analysis. The two most significant media in incidents of cyberbullying are text and visual. This paper presents An Explainable Multimodal Deep Learning Model for Cyberbullying Detection include three steps The first step involves collecting datasets from different resources, which include images and their captions with binary classes (bullying and non-bullying). The second step applies two techniques of XAI: CNN+GradCam to analyze input images and produce visual explanations, and LSTM+LRP to analyze and interpret input text. The third step employs two techniques of data fusion (early and late). Final step represents the evaluation performance of the EMDL-CBD model based on a set of accuracy metric

Genomic Insights into Drug Abuse: The Role of DNA and Protein-Coding Regions in Addiction and Genetic Mutation

    Get PDF
Abstract This paper explores the genetic and epigenetic impacts of drug abuse, focusing on how chronic drug use can induce mutations in DNA, particularly within protein-coding regions, and alter gene expression through mechanisms such as DNA methylation. The study highlights the significant role of these genetic changes in the brain\u27s reward pathways, which contribute to the development and persistence of addiction. Through a comprehensive literature review, the paper identifies key genetic factors associated with addiction susceptibility and the long-term effects of drug-induced epigenetic modifications. A proposed research framework is presented, emphasizing the need for longitudinal studies to track epigenetic changes over time, targeted genomic analysis to identify critical mutations, and the integration of multi-omics approaches to provide a holistic understanding of drug abuse\u27s impact on the genome. The paper also addresses ethical considerations, including the importance of protecting genetic privacy and preventing stigmatization based on genetic findings. The study concludes that advancing our understanding of the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying addiction can lead to more effective, personalized treatment strategies and inform public health policies aimed at mitigating the effects of drug abuse

Herbal Extract and White Spot Lesion: A Review

    Get PDF
One of the most important complications of orthodontic treatment with fixed appliances is the development of white spot lesions (WSL) which represent the first clinical observation of dental caries. Fluoride is an efficient prophylaxis for WSL; however, its excessive use may lead to fluorosis. In addition, other chemicals (e.g., chlorhexidine) that have bactericidal effects may negatively affect the oral microflora. In the last decade, interest has shifted to using natural products that have beneficial effects on health. Using dental products (toothpaste, mouthwash, or oral gel) containing herbal extracts, has been shown to inhibit pathogenesis of cariogenic bacteria and consequently reduces enamel demineralization. Future longitudinal and in vivo studies are needed to explore the advantages and disadvantages of dental products containing herbs

After the excessive use of antibiotics in poultry breeding projects, which were used to reduce or reduce pathogenic bacteria, and to achieve biosecurity, however, these attempts were negatively reflected in the emergence of bacterial species that possess the characteristic of resistance against some types of antibiotics, which made the World Health Organization prohibit the use of some types of these antibiotics in poultry farming, for fear of transmission to the consumer. This has preoccupied many researchers with conducting various studies on safe alternatives instead of using manufactured antibiotics, as efforts have intensified by supporting the intestinal flora with probiotics, which contain beneficial bacteria and some yeasts, to achieve microbial balance. We can summarize the results of previous studies in this article: the use of vital nutrition with different levels of beneficial bacteria and yeasts has an influential role in enhancing the natural intestinal flora of domestic birds, which effectively contributes to creating a microbial balance, as a result of competitive exclusion in obtaining attachment sites for receptors. The cells of the intestinal wall, and the excretion of large numbers of harmful bacteria outside the alimentary canal, thus improving the functioning of the alimentary canal, which is represented by an increase in the use of nutrients, and this is reflected in a significant improvement in the productive, physiological and microbial characteristics of broilers and laying hens
