    Get PDF
Multiprocessor is a typical subject within the Computer architecture field of scope. A new methodology based on practical sessions with real devices and design is proposed. Embedded multiprocessor design presents challenges and opportunities that stem from task coarse granularity and the large number of inputs and outputs for each task. We have therefore designed a new architecture called embedded concurrent computing (ECC), which is implementing on FPGA chip using VHDL. The design methodology is expected to allow scalable embedded multiprocessors for system expansion. In recent decades, two forces have driven the increase of the processor performance: Advances in very large-scale integration (VLSI) technology and Micro architectural enhancements. Therefore, we aim to design the full architecture of an embedded processor for realistic to perform arithmetic, logical, shifting and branching operations. We will be synthesize and evaluated the embedded system based on Xilinx environment. Processor performance is going to be improving through clock speed increases and the clock speed increases and the exploitation of instruction- level parallelism. We will be designing embedded multiprocessor based on Xilinx environment or Modelsim environment

Data mining system contain large amount of private and sensitive data such as healthcare, financial and criminal records. These private and sensitive data can not be share to every one, so privacy protection of data is required in data mining system for avoiding privacy leakage of data. Data perturbation is one of the best methods for privacy preserving. We used data perturbation method for preserving privacy as well as accuracy. In this method individual data value are distorted before data mining application. In this paper we present min max normalization transformation based data perturbation. The privacy parameters are used for measurement of privacy protection and the utility measure shows the performance of data mining technique after data distortion. We performed experiment on real life dataset and the result show that min max normalization transformation based data perturbation method is effective to protect confidential information and also maintain the performance of data mining technique after data distortion

New Techniques for the Prevention of Power System Collapse

From voltage stability point of view, maximum permissible loading limits must not be exceeded in the operation of power systems. The risk of cascading outages in power systems manifests itself in a number of ways like loss of generation units, breaker failures, common tower and common right-of-way circuit outages, combination of system conditions and events. With the advent of structured competitive power markets, and with the lack of needed investment in the transmission grid, electric power systems are increasingly being operated close to their limits. When a power system is subjected to large disturbances control actions need to be taken to steer the system away from severe consequences and to limit the extent of the disturbance. The main factor, which causes these unacceptable voltage transients, is the inability of the distribution system to meet the demand for reactive power. The major research in dealing with voltage collapse is the proper diagnosis of the underlying factors causing low voltage. These disturbances often result in voltage collapse of the system, which in turn causes huge losses in the system as well as monetary losses. This paper deals with some newer techniques for the prevention of the voltage system collapse for voltage system collapse, which may have a very large economic impact on the society. It also focuses on right initiation at right time to ease control action to enhance stability, reliability and security of the power system so as to provide a preventive plan to minimize the chances of failure in power system as possible

Evaluation of Acceptable Weight of Bag For Students in School: A Fuzzy Logic Approach

    Get PDF
Overweight schools bags will bring additional stress and fatigue to primary and junior secondary students. The Department of Health recommends that, as a precautionary measure, students should avoid carrying school bags which exceed 15% of their body weight for long periods of time. Around 60 per cent of Indian schoolchildren may suffer back pain by carrying schoolbags. For example, a heavy bag that’s slung over one shoulder can, over the 12 years of schooling, cause chronic back problems that linger into adulthood. Risks include muscle strain, distortion of the natural ‘S’ curve of the spine and rounding of the shoulders. The low back pain as a result of carrying of school bag by students has necessitated the attention given to the determination of limits of weight of school bag carrying by students in the school. It was however noted by that no Occupational Safety and Health organization exist regarding what constitutes the maximum acceptable or safe weight of school bag. After this observation, several researchers have worked on the subject of weight of school bag using three main approaches namely: Physiological, Psychophysical and Biomechanical. Author has applied the Fuzzy logic approaches for setting weight limit (WL) of school bag to be carried by students in school in the analysis the strengths and the weaknesses with the height are taken in to consideration. The approach may probably lead to reduce the problem of low back pain of students caused by heavy weight of school bag

The effect of the film shape on the load carrying capacity of a hydrodynamically lubricated bearing has not been considered an important factor in the past. Flat faced tapered bearing and the Raileigh\u27s step bearing of constant film thickness have been the primary forms of film shapes for slider bearing studies and design data developments. There are indications in the literature that surface profiling/texturing can have significant and positive influence on the load carrying capacity of hydrodynamic pad thrust bearings. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to compare the experimental results of pressure temperature distributions in slider bearing with flat surface and with different single continuous surface profiled (Cycloidal,Catenoidal,Quadratic) sector shaped pads. Pressure results presented in this paper can provide a platform for validation of theoretical models. An experimental study has been performed to investigate the influence of single continuous surface profiled sector shaped pads in tilting pad thrust bearing. It has been found that with cycloidal shaped surface profiled sector shaped pads the pressure generated within fluid film is enhanced which in turn causes enhancement in load bearing capacity of hydrodynamic bearing

A Novel Automated Technique for Ferrous Materials Classification

The composition of the material and its processing conditions effect the microstructure of that material. Mechanical properties are inturn dependent on the material\u27s microstructure. Thus the study of microstructure is important to asses the material processing conditions. This also helps in forensic analysis of material failure. Metallography deals with the material microstructure study. Classification of Material is the first step of the metallographic analysis. The tonal distribution of the microstructural image is completly dependent on the material and its composition. The current paper proposes a automated technique for classification of materials using image processing algorithms

An ad-hoc network is the cooperative engagement of a collection of Mobile Hosts without the required intervention of any centralized Access Point. This Application is the innovative design for the operation of such ad-hoc networks. The basic idea of the design is to operate each Mobile Host as a specialized router, which periodically advertises its view of the interconnection topology with other Mobile Hosts within the network. This amounts to a new sort of routing protocol. This paper is practically applied using the specifications that are defined through Highly Dynamic Destination Sequenced Distance Vector Routing Algorithm

The rapid growth of wireless communications has made the problem of spectrum utilization ever more critical. The increasing diversity (voice, short message, Web & multimedia) and demand of high quality-of-service (QoS) applications have resulted in overcrowding of the allocated (officially sanctioned) spectrum bands, leading to significantly reduced levels of user satisfaction. The concepts of GLRT algorithm and substantial improvement over the U-GLRT algorithm are explained. This paper presents a model which uses efficient CP method for CR in Wireless Systems. Primary signal has been detected in the OFDM transmission with both the CPCC and MP–based C-GLRT algorithms greatly outperform energy detection in multi path environment has been implemented using software design. The signal model in our analysis is to efficiently exploit the correlation among the transmitted signals due to the presence of CP. Proposed method of cognitive radio takes two steps of implementation .first named as MP based is to detect the noise and de-noise the signal and the second is cp based in which the signals are identified based on the cyclic prefix
