BENCHMARK PROBLEMS IN STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING FOR MITIGATION OF SEISMIC VIBRATIONS
Many control algorithms and devices have been proposed over the last few decades, for protecting structures against severe dynamic loadings. However, because standard structures were not considered, direct comparison of different control strategies was not possible. To compare the results of passive, active and semi-active protective systems, and to direct future research efforts towards the most promising control strategies for alleviating dynamic responses, benchmark control problems on buildings and bridges have been developed . Thus, it becomes possible to study different aspects of the same problem in many countries, and in a coordinated fashion. By applying different control strategies to the testbed, and measuring the response to standardized loading, it is possible to directly compare the effectiveness of various control strategies. Findings of the studies can be combined in a rational manner that will result in a systematic presentation of results. The paper presents a review of the benchmark problems in structural engineering. Importance and need of benchmark problems is emphasized by presenting case studies on benchmark buildings and bridges

More advanced tools are developed for online customer’s behaviour to increase sales, and profit, but no such tools are developed to understand learner’s behaviour in e-Learning. Cryptanalysis of the Fast Lightweight Mutual Authentication Protocol
Security counts as a critical barrier to continuing growth of RFID industry due to lack of a proper high performance lightweight protocol-based solution. Amongst recent developments the Fast Lightweight Mutual Authentication Protocol (FLMAP) has been accepted for its superior speed and low complexity features. Here we examine the security strengths of FLMAP through systematic cryptanalysis tests. Outcome of our investigation show that in spite of its superior speed and power saving features FLMAP shows some serious design gaps and shortfalls against two specifically selected desynchronization and ID disclosure attacks. Finally, we propose solutions to fix the FLMAP designing and security flaws
EFFICIENT COMPUTATIONAL STRATEGY FOR CLOUD COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT
The problem of distributing virtual machine (VM) images to a set of distributed compute nodes in a Cross-Cloud computing environment is considered as the main issue in this paper. Here the term Cross-Cloud Computing refers to the environment with multiple cloud sites. Self Scheduling schemes are mostly used for high performance as they represent adaptive schemes where allocation is done in run time. From review it is observed that Factorizing Self Scheduling (FSS) offers better load balance when execution time changes widely and randomly. Here, Heterogeneous Factorizing Self- Scheduling (HFSS) algorithm is proposed and considered for the implementation of virtual machine scheduling in crosscloud computing environment. Such an implementation is not yet done with cross-cloud platform which is proposed here. Another feature of the project is that, data sent by user for computation on cloud environment is stored in encrypted form. Hybrid Algorithm for Improving Efficiency of Keywords based Search Engine
Web mining is the application of data mining techniques to discover interesting patterns from the Web. Web usage mining is the process of extracting useful information from server logs i.e users history. While discovering interesting patterns in multi agents the efficiency is decreased. In our paper presents hybrid algorithm is designed for the improvement of the efficiency of keywords based search engine. The model divides mining task into several parallel agents which coordinately work together, and the mining efficiency is improved greatly. The hybrid algorithm is Evolved from HITS, algorithm. Hybrid algorithm removes Link Farm pages in the expansion of root set, makes anchor text similarity calculation when crawling link page, and chooses pages by a brief conceptual analysis of page content. With the overcoming of the shortcomings of only text analysis or link analysis, Hybrid enhances the search engine in understanding the user interest and crawling more Web pages to meet the needs of the users

Citizen Card System in which every citizen of a country will have a unique 16 digit number Citizen Card System which would not just help the government track down individuals, but would make life far easier for citizens as they would not have to submit multiple documents each time they want to avail a new service—public private, government., regulatory authority or lawenforcement agency. This system will contain details like the name, sex, address, marital status, photo, identification mark and face biometrics. The Citizen Card is fundamentally prepared to identify citizens so that better security can be provided by identifying illegal immigrants and terrorists. The role the system envisions is to issue a Citizen Card System that can be verified and authenticated in an online, cost-effective manner, and that is robust enough to eliminate duplicate and fake identities
Choosing a Technique for Digital Signatures From the Customers’ Perspective
One way to secure identity over the Internet and other channels is to use digital signatures. Since this area is often used in contact with banks, we have during our work co-operated with Nordea IT. In order for customers to use a digital signature whenever they wish to, a way of making them mobile is required. In our thesis we give an overall understanding of digital signatures and how they can be used. Our main goal is trying to find out what technique customers want to use for carrying their digital signature and if information positively affects customers’ will to use the new service. We have found theories about the customers from literature, articles and Nordea IT. The most important theories state the importance of listening to customers and the importance of creating a trust between bank and customer. The main method used for the investigation is a questionnaire. This questionnaire is used to find out public opinions regarding the use of digital signatures. As seen from the result of our investigation most theories about the customers are confirmed. The answers from the questionnaire showed that it is important that the technique fulfils the customers’ desire. Every other person could consider using digital signatures, if the number of uncertain can be convinced. From those who are negative or uncertain, one fifth are affected by information from the bank. The importance of information about security and bank policies is thus also confirmed. Both the choices of technique and the information positively affects customers’ will to use digital signature. So we find through a study that how customer accepts such technological enhancement
