    Psychomotor Problems in Children: Early Detection of Sensory Disorders and Treatment

    This article discusses psychomotor disorders in children, namely when developmental delays in terms of physical, emotional, social and slow communication skills. Disorders of child development can actually be detected from an early age, the development of gross motor skills, fine, cognitive, and language. As for the symptoms that occur when experiencing developmental disorders in children, the body and brain have difficulty processing and responding to sensory stimuli from the environment. Children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) often overreact or overreact in response to touch, sound, or food texture. However, sensory disturbances in children can be reduced and even treated with appropriate therapy. Generally, therapy sessions will focus on ways to help the child engage in activities that they are not normally better at. It also helps them to get used to and accept things that they cannot tolerate

    Cooking Training Intervention to Improve Cooking Skills and Self Efficacy in Preparing Breakfast for Kendari City Junior High School Students

    The quality of adolescent breakfast is very influential on daily nutritional needs. Fast food is a favorite food for teenagers but the nutritional content is lacking. Love to eat - ready-to-eat food makes the practice of cooking decline. The purpose of this study was to improve cooking skills and self-efficacy in preparing breakfast for junior high school students in Kendari City. This study is a quasi-experimental design. The subjects in this study were 26 students of SMPN 10 Kendari, namely the intervention group who were given cooking training and nutrition education with the lecture method and 26 students of SMPN 5 Kendari were the control group who were given nutrition education through leaflets. Data were analyzed using paired t-test and independent sample t-test. The results showed that there were differences in cooking skills and self-efficacy in preparing breakfast (p<0.05) in the intervention group (p<0.05). In addition, there were also differences in self-efficacy in preparing breakfast between the intervention group and the control group (p<0.05). It was concluded that there was a positive effect of cooking training on increasing self-efficacy and cooking skills for preparing breakfast. For the school, it is better to hold extracurricular cooking activities to train students' skills in meeting daily nutritional intake

    The aim of this research is to look at the politics of religious affiliation in Sigi Regency's direct regional head elections in 2010 and 2015. The majority of adherents of faith, namely the Muslim and Protestant Christian communities, are represented in the political reality of the community in Sigi Regency. In the elections for the Regent and Deputy Regent of Sigi Regency, the opportunity for population allocation based on the two faiths has become a political instrument to take power. During two cycles of direct regional head elections in Sigi Regency, the state of population characteristics of religious affiliation trends became electoral consumption by political elites. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. According to research, religious affiliation is a fair concern in winning provincial head elections in 2010 and 2015, as well as a way of political balance representing the two religions' cultures

    The aim of this pilot study was to test a method developed in the Cognitive Task Analysis paradigm for adult occupational training in the field of education. The method used was based on the Square of Percieved ACtion (SPEAC) protocol using the SPEAC model (explaining how to successfully put competencies in action). The study was conducted in two secondary education classes, with a sample of 36 students (control group and test group) for an activity in Economics & Social science. The application of this innovative SPEAC-based method resulted in a significant and homogeneous increase in student performance. Beyond showing that the protocol can be applied both for adults and the young and in both occupational and academic contexts, the study demonstrates the benefits in learning and training with this method. Cognitive processes underpinning the improvement in teaching and limitations of the method are discussed

    The Influence of Orientation on the Anxiety Level of Patients Treated in the Internal Room of Pelamonia Hospital

    Patients admitted to hospital often experience anxiety ranging from mild to severe anxiety. It is suspected that the nurse has not carried out the orientation optimally. Patients often ask questions and don't know the place of service and the procedure to be carried out, on the other hand, patients who receive an explanation show a positive response. However, until now the influence of orientation on anxiety levels is not known. The design used was a pre-experiment in one group (one-group pre-test post-test) with a population of all patients in the intensive care unit at Pelamonia Hospital. The sample size was 56 patients whose selection was carried out by purposive sampling. The independent variable is providing orientation to patients. The dependent variable is the level of anxiety. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank statistical test with a significance level of p0.05. The results showed that there was an influence of orientation on the patient's anxiety level (p=0.001 Z= -3.289). Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that if nurses carry out orientation to patients according to procedures, the patient's anxiety level will decrease. Further research needs to be carried out regarding the influence of orientation on more specific patient anxiety levels
