Global Warming: Impacts on Society and Alternative Solutions Taken
This article discusses the revitalization of agriculture through the knowledge of the extension agents to the community about the socioeconomic of agriculture. The interesting thing is that the potential of each region to develop agribusiness is very different. Therefore, to develop extension services that support the development of agribusiness, it is necessary to examine carefully the potential of each region. So that the diversity of extension materials must be made possible by innovation. Agricultural extension is expected to be the central point of agricultural development. However, in agricultural extension it must be remembered that extension is a form of intervention against farmers. Progressive and effective agricultural extension workers must be supported and collaborate closely with the Agricultural Research Institute including socio-economic research on agricultural extension which simultaneously conducts monitoring and evaluation of agricultural extension continuously. In disseminating information, the extension worker must carry out a reciprocal process, namely conveying information in the form of researchers' findings to farmers. Sustainable agricultural development really requires the support of strong agricultural technology and socio-economic research results. Without this, agricultural development will stagnate. Therefore, people's participation in planting knowledge needs to be increased
The Function of Immunology, Antigen and Antibody
The aims of the study is the function of , imonology, antigen and antibody. The discussion is the function of antigen and also the types of antigen The type of antigen is based on its determinant: (a) Unideterminant, (b) Unideterminant, (c) Multideterminant (d) Multideterminant. The type of antigen based on the specifics : (a) Heteroantigen (b) Xenoantigen (c) Alloantigen (d) Specific organ antigens (e) Autoantigen . Types of antigens based on their chemical content: (a) Carbohydrates, (b) Lipids (c) Nucleic (d) Protein . (Antibodies have the ability to recognize and attach / attach to antigens that are thought to cause disease by the body and recognizing and attaching themselves to antigens, the antibody substance always acts as a marker, and then sends a signal to other white blood cells to attack the foreign substanc
Factors Influencing the Performance of Nurses in the Emergency Room at Bunda Thamrin General Hospital Medan
Nurses as one of health workers in the hospital having an important role in achieving health development goals. The success of health services depends on the participation of nurses to provide high quality care nursing for patients. This research is quantitative and using cross sectional design. The purpose of this research is to see what factors that can influence over the performance of nurses of emergency room in Bunda Thamrin Hospital Medan 2018. This research use total sampling or exhaustic sampling and The source data of this research is using questionnaire and then followed by using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, and multivariate analysis with SPSS program. The results of this research is that work load (p=0,000),strees of work (p=0,000),competention (p=0,000), insentive (p=0,000),length of working (p=0,000) have influences for performance of nurse. After multivariate analysis the most influence variable is work load (p=0,000. The result showed that there was correlation between work load, strees of work, competention, insentive, length of working has influences against work performances of nurse. Therefore, needs toimprovenursing service that can be made to improving the performance of nurses with increased knowledge through education nursing sustainable and improving skills nursing is absolutely necessary. The arrangement of a work conducive environment so important, so that nurses can work effectively and efficiently .Creating a work that could lead to a nurse to do the best
Impact of Global Warming on Public Health
This article aims to explain the impact of global warming on public health. The mechanism that occurs is that climate change affects environmental factors such as changes in environmental quality such as water quality, air and soil, depletion of the ozone layer, decreases in the quality and quantity of water resources, loss of ecosystem function and land degradation which in the end these factors will affect human health. . Global warming has shortened the mating cycle and growth of mosquitoes from eggs to larvae and adult mosquitoes, so that the population size will increase rapidly. The impact of global warming also affects ozone depletion, among others, the increasing intensity of ultraviolet rays reaching the earth's surface causing health problems, such as skin cancer, cataracts, decreased endurance, and the growth of genetic mutations. . It is also associated with high air temperature with decreased heart rate. A low heart rate can increase the risk of a heart attack
Chemical Waste Management in Hospital; Impact on Environment and Health
This article discusses the chemical management of wastewater in hospitals. Liquid waste is all wastewater including feces originating from hospital activities which may contain pathogenic microorganisms, toxic chemicals and radioactive substances that are harmful to health. Therefore, the potential impact of hospital wastewater on public health is very large, so each hospital is required to treat its wastewater until it meets the applicable standard requirements. Good wastewater management is not only for sharp medical wastes but covers hospital waste as a whole. With the increasing number of health service facilities, it will result in an increasing potential for environmental pollution, because waste disposal activities, especially waste water, will contribute to decreasing the level of human health. Hospital waste is all waste generated from hospital activities in the form of solid, liquid and gas. It is better if hospital waste has a waste storage and treats the waste first before discharging it into the environment, so that the environment is not polluted and the government should build a monitoring system
