    This study aims to analyze the strategies undertaken to improve the ability of human resources of natural tourism actors Ijen Crater, the implications of these strategies for the continuity of natural tourism activities Ijen Crater, as well as the existence of Islamic religious education in improving the ability of human resources of natural tourism actors. The method used is qualitative. Informants included Mount Ijen Volcanology Officers, Mount Ijen Forest Police, Tourism Activists, Tourists, Tourism Service Providers, Traders, Muslim Leaders or figures, Local Communities, and the Tourism Office. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentary studies. Data analysis covered stages: data condensation, display, and conclusion drawing/verifications. Data validity uses triangulation and extended participation methods. The results of this study are that the tourism potential is quite adequate to improve the ability of human resources of tourism actors, especially in the local community, to limited understanding of language, tourism insights, and networking, the opportunities are not optimal and taken over by people from outside the Regency. Although the district government has programmed a series of tourism training, there is still an imbalance in the distribution of the regional budget, which is only disbursed for and prioritizes the district government's tourism assets and for the benefit of bureaucrats. Therefore, the strategy has not had a significant impact on improving the ability of human resources of tourism actors compared to the big name of KWA Ijen and the budget provided for the continuity of tourism activities. The values of Islamic religious education are applied in various forms of culture, indicating that the pattern of teaching Islam addition to being obtained from the educational institution is obtained from the implementation of existing rituals and traditions that have become norms in the community

    This article discusses Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the digital era, Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) media as a learning innovation that is more modern, adaptive, and aligned with the independent learning curriculum. The Independent learning approach help learners broaden their horizons and improve their abilities based on their separate learning experiences. The success and quality of learning, especially Islamic Religious Education, can be supported by the course design contained in the MOOC. The advantages of flexible and collaborative MOOC learning media can be shared between universities and are expected to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education in Indonesia. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach to explore Islamic Religious Education innovations in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era through Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) media. The final result is the MOOC learning media as an innovation for Islamic Religious Education which is adaptively prepared in Islamic Higher Education and is aligned with the independent learning curriculum

    This study departs from an integrated curriculum problem in higher education which has not found a clear formulation according to the direction of character formation. In the integrated curriculum, there is a comprehensive model to the practical level to shape the character of students. Today's universities are almost having trouble producing graduates with character. The integrated curriculum offers an integrated and complex educational concept in developing student potential. With the character education model based on an integrated curriculum, it is hoped that it will be a solution to the concerns of education practitioners facing the decline in the character of higher education graduates. This paper explains that: (1) The concept of integrated curriculum-based character education carried out in tertiary institutions consists of the conception of an integrated vision and mission, institutional integration, curriculum integration, and learning according to the model both within single disciplines, across several disciplines, and inside the mind. of the learners; (2) Integrated curriculum-based character education uses a rational and deductive interaction approach to divide roles between leaders, employees, and lecturers; (3) methods and strategies in integrated curriculum-based character education in the classroom, by prioritizing problem-solving methods, project methods, unit teaching, inquiry, discovery, and thematic approaches; (4) evaluation of integrated curriculum-based character education

    This article discusses the standardization of graduate quality as the readiness of prospective professional teacher students at the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq State Islamic University Jember. This study uses a qualitative method by conducting semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Sample selection using the purposive method. The findings of this study are that the standardization of graduate quality consists of 4 components: Student Quality Assistance Books, Curriculum Equivalent Books, Comprehensive Examination Quality Assistance Books, and Internal Quality Assurance Systems. Quality standards for graduates are formulated by the Faculty Quality Assurance Team, along with the Study Program Quality Control Team, as well as lecturers. The implementation of graduate quality standards includes quality bills that must be mastered by students, namely bills for memorizing the letters of juz 30, memorizing tarbawi verses, and memorizing tarbawi traditions. The implementation obstacle encountered was the existence of the SPAN system in the student selection process which was only based on report cards, causing the mapping of the ability to read and write the Koran and religious understanding to be unclear

    The emergence of a religious climate that does not reflect of multiculturalism and pluralism lately, which is marked by the strengthening of radical, exclusive, intolerant attitudes and behaviors in responding to others, along with theological racism, raises big questions about the role of pesantren in maintaining religious pluralism. Based on above reality, this research focuses on comparing two Islamic boarding schools, NU and Muhammadiyah, in Jember, related to the construction of multicultural education development, which includes the ideas related to the significance of multicultural education, and the response to the implementation of multicultural education in the education system of NU and Muhammadiyah pesantren. The results of this research, both the Al-Qodiri Islamic Boarding School or the Pakusari Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School see the need for multicultural education, but how to apply it, there are differences between them. Although in general the Al-Qodiri Islamic Boarding School and the Modern Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School respond well to multicultural education, both have different response to the implementation of multicultural education values

    The purpose of this study are: (1) to determine the educational system, strategies, and various patterns of pesantren development with a multicultural perspective; (2) to determine the education system, strategies, and various patterns of diniyyah development with a multicultural perspective; (3) to compare systems, strategies and patterns of education in pesantren and diniyyah with multicultural insight. In this study using a qualitative approach. The method used is a research library. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. The result of this research is that multicultural education at the pesantren is reflected in the content of the curriculum that teaches students insights on the diversity of beliefs such as teaching special material muq?ranat al-ady?n. Secondary formal diniyyah education consists of formal ulya diniyyah education and ma'had Aly. Strategies and development patterns in Diniyyah that have a multicultural perspective through a curriculum, namely extracurricular and intracurricular subjects and activities

    Issues of Reading Habits Among Malaysian Students: School and Home Perceptions

    Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze issues of reading habits among school students in Malaysia. This study used a qualitative method by conducting semi-structured interviews with school leaders, teachers, and parents in urban and rural areas. Sample selection used the purposive sampling method. Criteria in selecting study participants were position, teaching experience, background related to students' reading habits, and willingness to participate in this study. The findings of this study were analyzed using thematic methods. The analysis of the issues in urban areas resulted in five (5) themes for urban areas, while there were nine (9) themes for rural areas. These themes have been arranged according to the priority of the issue. The themes of issues faced in urban areas consist of (i) Students' Attitudes and Reading Awareness, (ii) Current Reading Programs Need to Be Improved, (iii) Changes in Reading Styles and Technological Developments, (iv) Aspects of Students' Environment That Do Not Support Reading Habits and (v) No Specific Time Allocation for Reading Activities. The results of the analysis of the findings of the study with participants in rural areas consist of (i) Lack of Family Support, (ii) No facilities, (iii) Students' Attitudes and Reading Awareness, (iv) Lack of Interesting Resources and Reading Materials, (v) Limited Reading Resources, (vi) Lack of Teacher Training on Reading Practice Skills, (vii) Aspects of Students' Environment That Do Not Support Reading Habits, (viii) Current Reading Program Need Improvement, (ix) No Clear Guidelines or Profile. The results of this study can serve as a reference, especially at the stakeholder level, such as for the District Education Office, School Administrators, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) as well as for policymakers who may utilize the findings of this study to identify and improve the community and students in Malaysia as a reading community

    The process of treating corpses requires skill, therefore repeated experience is needed. The existence of a laboratory is very important, both used in the introduction of material in theory and practice. In practice, the care of corpse requires learning resources, teaching aids and so on to support the implementation of corpse care practices. This study aimed to determine the existence of the PAI laboratory seen from the conditions, management and use of the PAI laboratory in the practice of corpse care materials. The method in this study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that the conditions of the PAI laboratory met the comfort requirements of the PAI laboratory. The PAI Laboratory management has an organizational structure and is in charge of the PAI laboratory inventory. The use of PAI laboratory in the practice of caring for corpses was carried out in semester 4 (four), namely class 2 even semester. In the implementation of the practice of caring for the corpse, it began with "breafing" as a provision of practice, the core activities of caring for the corpse were bathing, shrouding, praying and burying the corpse. As well as closing activities, namely giving wisdom from the care of corpses carried out at the PAI Laboratory

    The Indonesian government's efforts to suppress the spread of Covid-19 directly impact the socio-cultural changes of madrasas, the phenomenon of culture shock occurring at all levels of education. This study seeks to describe and analyze the dynamics of socio-cultural changes at MA Miftahul Ulum Lumajang after the COVID-19 pandemic using social engineering theory as an analytical tool. The research method uses a phenomenological qualitative approach. The results showed: The socio-cultural changes that occurred in MA Miftahul Ulum Banyuputih Kidul Jatiroto Lumajang during the covid-19 pandemic covered various aspects, both in terms of teaching and learning activities, communication patterns between teachers and students, including the psychological aspects of teachers and students in dealing with learning activities. Teaching (KBM) to create a new paradigm for teachers and students viewing KBM that cannot be limited by space and time
